This is literally the Show that destroyed the sport of Bodybuilding. After this show it was all about size . Aesthetics and the need for symmetry ,balance and flow went completely out the window. Flex definitely won this show in the eyes of true Bodybuilding fans. But if you liked the bloated box frame juiced to the gills with IGF-1, Insulin and GH look then Dorian is your man.

As big of a fan as I am of flex wheeler i must say that he was not robbed at the 93 Mr olympia. As good as flex was at this show, Dorian was just too big and conditioned while having good symmetry. I am not the biggest fan of Dorian but he just made flex look small especially in the front and back poses. Also flex couldn't get his hamstrings and glutes hard and ripped either to compete with Dorian in the back poses. Sorry but Dorian won this show hands down
The open has always been about the biggest guy with the best conditioning. Arnold wasn't the most aesthetic in his time, Serge and Zane were but Arnold dwarfed them and had great conditioning (for the time) and that was the reason he won 7. It is what it is unfortunately
Sad reality is that mr o has always been more about size, but Im sure we can all agree that Flex had the near perfect physic that everyone to this day would love to have. Just off of asthetics alone even if you would add mass..
how about conditioning? look at their lower bodies during comparisons for conditioning, even though Dorians upper blasted flex as well, the lower should be obvious to someone who isn't used to assessing physiques (which is you based on your comment).

I was not a fan of Dorian back in the late 90's. 93 is the best Dorian ever looked...period. 94, 96 he had issues. I won't even mention 97 but since I did I'll say this. If a 97 Dorian couldn't lose then certain a 93 Dorian wouldn't lose.
As a Yates fan (more of his teachings than physique), no one since Flex 93 has presented their physique so well and brought a look that was like a poetry in motion. Flex might have not won here as per BB standard, but this look has immortalized him forever. You cannot quantify such a profound impact on BB by Mr O wins vs loss. Just like Dorian, Flex left an indelible mark in the history of BB.

I think the thing that placed Dorian ahead of Flex was the conditioning he had in the back of his legs. Flex definitely more aesthetic in the upper body but the striated glutes and hamstring separation Dorian had was just better.
Flex looked fantastic but Dorian just out powers him with mass and his conditioning was slightly better in my opinion but flex definitely deserved at least one title in his career.
