But Mirza was more interested in being servant of Aurangya. Servants of outsider don't get respect.
Similar to Mirza many Marathas were against Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, like Khandoji Khopade, Suryaji Pisal, Chandrarao More.
We should not idealize such people who preferred to serve outside masters than their own people, even if they were good warriors.

Being a Rajput Myself i do respect Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but it does not mean i put Jaswant Singh and Mirza Raza Jai Singh below him. They are also great figures in our history. Now Mirza Raza Jai Singh is a person who defeat Shivaji himself no other general in Mughal Army General could have done that. From what i Remember Shivaji had 35 forts under him before he battled mirza raja jai singh and was left with 12 after the battle even though Shivaji Surendered Mirza Raja Jai Singh never wanted him to die. So when Aurangzeb arrested Shivaji and Sambhaji he instructed his son Ram Singh to help shivaji escape the prision. At the end by winning the trust of Aurangzeb that Shivaji is Ill and soon going to die and want to make donations before his death was able to escape Aurangzeb's prision. Aurangzeb Blamed Ram Singh for Shivaji's escape and knew MIrza Raja Jai Singh was behind it. After this Jai Singh's and Aurangzeb's relation worsened and Mirza Raja Jai Singh died a mysterious death that some sources claim that he died because of poisoning.
Also about Jaswant Singh he is one of my favourite Rajput kings after Maharana Pratap and Amar Singh that because he was a crude politician as well as a good tactical leader and Aurangzeb hated him with his guts. How let me tell. Jaswant Singh never supported Aurangzeb's claim to the throne. Jaswant Singh Actually went on to support Dara Shikoh out of the 4 brothers. When Shah Jahan Crowned Dara Aurangzeb along with Murad planned to invade and kill Dara and Aurangzeb promissed Murad to be the next emperor. Shah Jahan asked for Jaswant Singh's help and Jaswant Singh along with Qasim khan went to face Aurangzeb in Dharmat in Malwa. Now when Aurangzeb faced Jaswant Singh he asked him to return along with armies or go meet shah jahan and leave the army behind aurangzeb asked for a period of 1 month so that he can make arrangements for his army to stay within this time aurangzeb was able to conveince Quasim Khan to join him with his 30000 soldiers to face Jaswant Singh. Even after knowing that Quasim Khan has joined AUrangzeb Jaswant Singh fought and was injured badly and was latter taken by his army men back to jodhpur as they thought that dying for a fight between mughals is pointless. But this was the point that Jaswant Singh developed a feeling of hatered for aurangzeb as because of Quasim khan he lost the battle.
Aurangzeb defeated Dara Shikoh and he escaped to Gujarat and murdered Murad and became the new emperor by arresting Shah Jahan. Now Aurangzeb wanted friendly relation with Jaswant Singh and Jaswant singh also pretended along to support aurangzeb's claim to throne. Aurangzeb latter took Jaswant SIngh with him to battle his another Brother Suja at Khajua. Now Jaswant Singh here planned to backstab aurangzeb and take his revenge for humiliation at Dharmat. He enetered into a secret agreement with Suja and the plan was while aurangzeb plans to attack suja on battlefield Jaswant Singh will attack Aurangzeb's army at the same time and this will surprise aurangzeb and than suja also launches his attack at same time. What happened was Jaswant Singh did attack Aurangzeb's Army and was able to loot his treasury & armory and after doing considerable damage to aurangzeb's army left the battlefield. But Suja's attack did not came at the same time and after hours until them aurangzeb was able to rearrange his army and Suja was defeated.
But Jaswant Singh sucesfully looted left the battlefield and went back to Jodhpur.
After This Aurangzeb Feared that Jaswant SIngh will now join Dara in his campaign against him therefore he promised Gujarat to Jaswant SIngh if he joins him again. Jaswant Singh Said okay and went to claim his new territories in Gujara. This news reached to Dara who was taking Asylum their and he thought Jaswant Singh will Kill Him now so he escaped to Sindh. Jaswant Singh Latter after going back to Jodhpur sent him message that he would still like to help Dara and will fight on his side if he is able to convience other Rajput kings to join him as he knew that he will never be able to win against aurangzeb alone with only Dara on his side as aurangzeb had consolidated the power and support of other kings. You See the Hatered is Real.
Well now Dara asks Raj Singh of Mewar for help but Raj Singh liked Aurangzeb and hated Dara and Shah Jahan as they had stopped him from restoring Chitorgarh. Thus at the end no one helps Dara.
Now Dara had to fight Aurangzeb alone, The battlefield was decided as Daurai near Ajmer. Aurangzeb asked Jaswant SIngh to join him in battle. Jaswant SIngh did not wanted to help Aurangzeb but now he could not reject aurangzeb on face so he left Jodhpur with his army and stopped at Beawar and never went to Daurai. Hence he did not participated in the battle. Aurangzeb still without the help of Jaswant SIngh manged to defeat Dara and killed him.
Now Aurangzeb was the undisputed ruler of the Mughal Empire. Aurangzeb still thought Jaswant SIngh may still be trusted and asked Jaswant Singh to help Sahista Khan( aurangzeb's uncle) against Marathas. Now Sahista Khan on his own captured the Pune Fort and Shivaji wanted the Fort back. Jaswant Singh messaged Shivaji that he would like to help him and gave him 400 mughal uniforms by which Marathas were able to intrude the fort and capture it. Sahista Khan was defeated and went back to Bengal.
Aurangzeb still again trusted Jaswant Singh😂and sent his son Azam to campaign in south and defeat marathas. Well Jaswant Singh was this time able to convience Aurangzeb's son that he deserved the Mughal Crown more than his father and thus he shall rebel against him and that's what he did. Azam's Rebelion was however suppresed and he was latter pardoned.
Now by this Time Aurangzeb understood that Jaswant SIngh is more of a pain if kept close so he was sent him to Kabul, Afghanistan to suppress afghans and after sending him to take revenge aurangzeb passed orders to demolish every temple in jodhpur well since Jaswant Singh was now in Kabul nothing could be done directly so he also passed an Order to demolish every Masjid in Kabul. Latter words were exchanged and no Masjid was demolished both sides called off their order and by doing so protected many temples in jodhpur.
Alot less is written about jaswant singh in History only his role in battle of dharmat is taught i dont know why but these incidents shall also be talked about.
At the End i have great respect for Shivaji Maharaj but MIrza Rai Jai SIngh and Jaswant Singh are also great figures in our history and i think we shall not downplay them. Jai Shree Ram

My dear brother, as a fellow Rajput my self, I can assure you that apart from a small fraction of our own community, nobody acknowledges our contribution and sacrifices. They shall not talk about the period between 734 and 1192 AD. They shall not talk about the battles we won. They gobble up the history we wrote with our swords against much powerful, better armed, numerically superior and technologically advanced adversaries. It all comes down to Maan Singh, Jai Singh, Jaswant Singh ,vassals of mughals, daughter sellers, Mughalputs and other such mockeries. What really creates awe in me is the fact that communities with no history of their own in the north(Jats,Gujjars,Ahirs) target us. They literally lived by the pro$- T- tution of their women, as recorded in historical documents. Marital alliances shatter my pride honestly. I haven't understood the substance behind them ever. They were perhaps the worst we did to ourselves. But so did The marathas in deccan with the Bahmanis and Muslim Gonds. 700 years off war drained us of everything. We joined them for our good. Intelligence might not correspond to pride always. But even Shivaji chose intelligence over pride in Purandar. But why shall only we face the overwhelming mockeries. My pride of being a Rajput now slowly shrinks with age, looking at their opinions about us. Always portrayed as slaves and servents, with heads bowed and eyes lowered. Why shall we abstain from talking about the history of loot and slaughter that they created after Shivaji. Why not talk about his ancestors and their achievements. Simply because they were the real servents, not us. But tides have turned against us. We shall not reclaim our lost glory and continue to be spat upon by men so narrow minded and ignorant. Being called Defeat specialists despite winning most wars with inferior numbers, technology and adversities, and losers and slaves despite allying only for 100 years out of Thousands. I request you to save your energy and not waste your time countering their arguments, for they shall not consider your facts at all. For them Maan, Jai and Jaswant were slaves and so were all WEAK AND IMPOTENT RAJPUTS. Love and respect to you from a fellow Rajput. Veer Bhogya Vasundhara.
Bhai i am not Rajput but shudra. But let me tell you I have utmost respect for Rajputs and maratha both. People generally remember the alliance with mughal ( and that was only from akbar to aurangjeb) but don't even consider the constant victory of Rajput for 400 years. Even here Gujarati queen of chalukya dynasty defeated turks but people don't respect them. Why? Because of jealousy. The contribution of Rajputs is so underrated.
