- Two months after his coronation at Westminster Abbey, Scotland marked King Charles III and his wife Camilla's accession to the throne.
While the new monarch will not have a separate coronation in Edinburgh, a service was held Wednesday where King Charles was presented with the Scottish Honours- the crown, scepter, and the sword of state.
The event started with a royal procession and was followed by a National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Giles’ Cathedral.

I sincerely wonder on what roots would a utopian "republic of scotland" be founded? scotland has deep and strong roots in the monarchy hahaha turning scotland into a republic overnight would be like taking a freshwater fish and releasing it into the ocean

Ein Volk lebt von solchen Traditionen. Sollten sich solche Gestalten "Not my king" durchsetzen, würde man bald merken, was man an einem König gehabt hat. Wir Deutschen können ein Lied davon singen.
In a eay I’m glad the protesters against tge monarchy were removed from the actual Coronation. Up till now I have been firmly on the side of the right to protest but it sure tskes the shine off a celebratory situatiin
I feel so pity for the protesters who were chanting “Not my King”. They are literally a bunch of lifeless peoples with no consequences at all. God Save the King and Long May He reign ❤️

I think it is so disrespectful to protest against the King while he is there. Why don't these common louts work at what they want first. Where are there leaflets and speeches and letters to the public. Where is there mandate carefully worked out. Just to take to the streets because the democratic monarchy has allowed them to do so and then chant against that monarchy shows all the signs of absolutely no breeding whatsoever.
