  • This is car #220, a Revology 1968 Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback Cobra Jet in Highland Green Metallic with Black Nappa leather interior. The original ’68 Cobra Jet was at the time the fastest Mustang ever produced. We thought it appropriate therefore to create the Revology Cobra Jet by combining the 710hp Ford/Roush Gen 3 5.0 Ti-VCT supercharged V8 engine and sophisticated chassis of our ’67 Shelby GT500 with the ’68 Mustang GT 2+2 body style. This car is equipped with the 68B package and 17x9.5” wheel options.

Love these cars. Have you entertained the use of a roadster shop chassis, or something similar?

I like hearing the engine. Before you did that I was going to ask why we don't get to hear the exhaust note. Then you started the car and there was still music playing. Finally you got to it but you should let us hear the cold start and what the car sounds like at idle and a rev or two from outside the car. Tires, 275's are great but would you consider a staggered fitment with 245 front and 275 rear? I think the original cobra jet was a dragster.

I find it ironic that Tom is praising his experience with super nice Jay Leno after his catastrophic interaction with Chip Foose, who's also known as one of the nicest guys in the car business. Chip visited Revology and drove one of Tom's Mustangs and Tom proceeded to insult one-off builders during the drive. It's the only time I've ever seen Chip Foose visibly pissed off. It was amazing to watch.

A real Mustang fastback 2 + 2 is cheaper than $350,000 asking price for Revology

Yeah sure your absolutely right,… however there two different cars. all though their similarity and look the same Revology cars are better built . And that’s what you pay for Quality.

It seems like these kinds of comments are on nearly every revology video that I've watched so far. These cars are built to modern standards with modern suspension and modern engine components. No need to choke your engine out on a chilly morning, no need to mess around with carburetors, and no need to worry about bad brakes like the older cars. Speaking of older cars, those old Mustangs will always, ALWAYS have miles on them if you want them for a reasonable price. The tachometer doesn't tell you if those were hard miles, or gentle miles, so you have to ask the owner with no guarantee of someone telling you the truth. With a Revology car, unless you provide your own body, the bodies will ALWAYS be brand new and of higher quality than the mass production Mustang bodies of old.
I think a lot of people miss the point of these cars. They're not mass production Ford products that are designed for everyone, they're performance leaning luxury type cars for people who are retiring, or have money laying around, and don't really want to tinker with an original Mustang like a gearhead might. I'm not one to point fingers at people being poor, I'm not exactly a rich man myself, but I understand and appreciate the market that these guys have cornered. At the end of the day, there's no such thing as a bad price, only a bad product, and they've sold 220 of these cars to date. So they obviously have a market and are doing well for themselves. I say good for them.
