Please observe that your description of bipolar montage in blue ( transverse) does not go with the EEG tracing (longitudinal). Otherwise superb description. Thank you
Question: How would one look at different montages of the same eeg session like is said at the end of the video? Isn't the montage determined by how you set up the differential amplifiers?
I had one done and the whole top was red. Dr asked if I was knocked out at one time and I said yes. He said my brain is 10 1/2 slower than others for my age, I am 77 yrs old, and I could get dementia or alzheimers. I was not happy. Why would the top be red?

Referencing is very easy with digital systems, its as easy as clicking on the montage and it will display in whatever way you need.

This might be a very late answer but it's simply to color code right vs left (the other color is blue or black)
It doesn't have a clinical implication
