My brother just bought the games and im proud to say i finished all 3 at 100% thanks to you and i will be getting back into playing games now. I might have said it in the video, but I think they did a great job with the sound design underwater. Something that can get really cliche really fast, but I think they knocked it out of the park.

Thanks Bat, good to be back! No, they don't cover the extra chests because the videos were made before those were added in the remasters. Often though people comment about those chests and I pin the comment usually!
I recently thought of something. In the first game, Vulgrim has War collect the Artifacts. In the second game, Vulgrim has Death collect the missing pages from the Book of the Dead. My theory is, what if in the last game (if it ever gets made), Vulgrim tries to redeem himself in Lucifer’s eyes by offering a way to rebuild his armies with the Artifacts and the complete Book of the Dead. Afterwards, there’s this huge armada that the Four Horsemen will have to fight against before the last boss fight. You know, as a way to wear them out so they’re easier to take out. Hopefully, the Horsemen will get serious butt and defeat the final boss, whoever it is, and at least end the story of Darksiders.
The magnetic pathways are very reminiscing of the Spider Ball in Metroid 2(and their remakes and fanmades) and the Prime trilogy. Bu of course you already knew this. ;)
I recently put on my tryhard panties to get the BFA achievement in all the Darksiders games. Your guides have been super helpful. Esp3cially the angelic beast part in DS1 and the collectathon in DS 2. And you are entertaining AF. Are you on hiatus again?
I find it ironic that in Darksiders 2, Kuddlesnot preferred the heavy weapons. While in Darksiders 3, he prefers the fast weapon from the Flame Hollow. Interesting, as I thought he would have preferred the heavy weapon from the Force Hollow.🤔
Hey Kuddle, I'm still on the second part of your backtrack collection videos, but I noticed you haven't updated in 2 months since you released this video. Did something come up in real life that is causing delays in getting to the next sin, or is it just that you are having a bit of trouble getting it to the point that you can do the workup to the next sin while taking as little damage as possible? Sorry if I seem a little impatient, but I'm just the kind of guy who likes to know what's going on in regards to walkthrough series I like. I look forward to the next update when you feel comfortable enough gameplaywise to get it done!
While I can't comment on how potent it is, the one other thing Rage benefits from is evasion attacks, as I am pretty sure a Wrath Lurcher is guaranteed to spawn on a counter-attack. I havent at all tested the difference in potency between Rage and Azazel though, so I dont know if you could argue for Rage being useful for bosses on an Evade heavy play style. But I do imagine you're right about where they're most useful. I think the question is probably most important with the Flame and Stasis Wrath abilities, Stasis especially, since wrath lurchers can increase how long you maintain that form. It may be possible that Azazel can also extend those abilities, but I've never tested it very thoroughly (I also dont actually remember if the Flame Wrath move works the same as stasis, but I'm assuming it does)
Its really a guaranteed spawn? Now that I think about it, I think I do get wrath lurchers even when not killing something, I just figured I wasn't seeing things right or something. I'll have to test that! That does make the active effect less necessary but the passive would be more rewarding more often. If they don't have to spawn only on a kill. Then you are right it would be more of a situational thing. That is also something that didn't click for me, that getting a wrath lurcher extends the "active" effects of Flame and Stasis. Definitely worth a deeper dive before going more in detail about combat!
@@Kuddlesnot yeah! I am honestly glad that MOST enhancements always have that passive benefit that makes them worth considering even a little bit. And that all gets amplified even more once the Keepers of the Void weapons show up. I honestly think the only enhancement that is extremely limited in it's use is Veneration from KotV. I was kinda shocked by how limited that was, every bit of testing I tried gave me the impression that both passives are exclusively for the barbs of scorn. Which just does not make it very flexible. Even the Crucible Enhancements at least have a passive effect for the wrath attack of their respective hollow. Perdition for Salvation is also exclusive, but idk, since the passives are more straight forward I have been more forgiving of it. Salvation's always been a supplemental tool rather than a core weapon, so an exclusive enhancement to really boost it's power/speed felt justified. But with Veneration it is just a buff that struggles to perform outside of group fights, with no other benefits.
@TheKeyblader133 agreed. I think veneration is a great example of something that seems like an obvious choice, but soon as it clicks that it is a souls-like and bosses and big bois are a huge portion of the combat, the way you need to approach builds changes. It also was confusing to me that it is the first time "critical hits" is even introduced as a concept in the game! (or am i blind?) Like, what is a critical hit in this context now? Determining "physical damage" and arcane damage acting differently for offensive vs defense so now critical hits fits in to that schema how exactly? Lol Now if you actually have an answer for me on any of this, I'm all ears.

Hey Kuddle! Would you consider making a hollow showcase episode after completing the game? You could use one of your NG+ save files (I assume you have a bunch!) where all hollow weapons are max level and basically go through some comabt, perhaps against the same enemy/enemies, using each hollow and showcasing its strenghts and weaknesses, along with its wrath skills etc. I've noticed people love storm and fire, but would really like to see a maxed out stasis, for example. Cheers!
I am planning right now to do some sort of combat deep dive after completing the game. What form that exactly takes I'm not sure yet, maybe it is related to Crucible strategies, maybe not, but definitely something on my mind! @@t0054083 I can confirm it definitely works on Steam, PC, current patch. However, I did realize I did not specify that I was already in the water when I triggered havoc, not before. If I trigger havoc before entering the green water, I do die. So what I do is jump in, and immediately trigger Havoc. Then you can just run across worry and fancy free!
I will not be surprised if you already know about it, but gonna talk about 7:14 below if anyone's unaware of that area (it isn't a spoiler but i'm treating it like one, lmao) It's still funny to me how cheesable the Chosen is at the end of that area. I didn't learn about it until within the last year, and dont recall if I learned it myself or if someone else taught me. But the Storm Hollow completely neuters the whole gimmic, and not even as an exploit xD I ended up recording a video of it here, but basically anything that triggers the Storm Hollow's chain lightning will hit his purple orbs when he charges the big wave attack. So instead of having to hit them directly with Salvation, you can just do a charged Salvation throw at the boss, or a charged hollow attack, and the lightning will hit both orbs immediately xD ruclips.net/video/nXYLUbB_TDk/видео.html
I did not know that! Good to know! I think when we get there this is definitely worth mentioning, but I want to show the "intended" way as well. I know sometimes when I'm frustrated with a boss, and I've looked up guides, if the way it is beaten is something that feels cheesy, it is just a letdown. But sometimes it is just a relief that there is an easy way to get past it. So this way, we can get the best of both worlds!
Remember when you compared 2 to a GOW like fighting style, well, I was wondering if there’s a chance you could do a (Greek) GOW 100%, I’d love to see your take on the 3 games, or just the first game, I think it’d be interesting to see the humor, the experience, and the skill, you can put into the game!
They already did Strife's story in Darksiders: Genesis. That is the game that came out after Darksiders 3. I think Darksiders 4 will be all about all four of the horsemen now working together and that will be like the finale of the series.

I'm not sure what the best is in terms of gameplay. As long as we either a) continue the story with Strife or b) have the full gang for one big finale for the story, I will be happy!
@@vitorpolegato2072 Crucible was technically first, but it doesn't really matter. Since crucible is a combat arena and Void is more content. I would probably recommend Void first because it gives you the 4 extra weapons with passives for enhancements!
@@vitorpolegato2072 PS5 does seem like the obvious choice, but I might do xbox, who knows! It depends on which ends up being the better for the game/easier to record platform. But I think PS5 would be my first choice.

I liked the underwater section, but I hate the Davy Jones/Cthulhu-esque foes. In the Crucible, they're among the most obnoxious out of the many obnoxious enemies. I have noticed many enemies in this game dodge, and I wish Fury wielded a firearm like War and Death eventually do. I suppose that would make enemies dodging superfluous though. The only parts of the underwater section I really hated were the block puzzles. They became so very tedious.
@@Kuddlesnot In the Crucible, I like battling the skeletons and small zombies. When Scorn is upgraded enough, it satisfyingly tears through their large groups quickly. They're the only foes I enjoy fighting in the Crucible. Everyone else dodges, pins you, or as you mentioned, has obnoxious windows for the safest time to strike. The swooping attack of these enemies in the water is something I completely forgot about lol.
@@Kuddlesnot Point taken 😄. I haven't returned to the underwater levels at all. Whatever collectibles remain down there, I don't know if I'd have the patience to seek them out, after seeing those enemies again. I'm right before the final battle in the story, but when I do play the game lately, I just go through the Crucible to grab more attribute points. I wonder if I should increase the difficulty level...maybe not haha.

@@vitorpolegato2072 When I get to Genesis, you know I'll get them all my friend! I don't know about any others, I don't look really at other guides a whole lot, I don't want them to influence how I construct mine too much!
I'm saving them because as you get higher level (especially if going for lvl 100 for the NG+ achievements) it makes a huge amount of difference at those later soul-requiring levels. These early levels are only a splash in the bucket! I can get 20k souls a lot easier than 120k. And the visages don't care if you are level 45 or level 145! It is just my preference, a slight time optimization. Really not a big deal overall either way!
@elektrostar4918 I'm still figuring it out. I think it will be a smaller collectathon because there isn't as much for just stasis since we cleaned up so much stuff in ep 7+8, and there is some stuff I want to keep until the end because of difficulty spikes.

I recently thought of something. In the first game, Vulgrim has War collect the Artifacts. In the second game, Vulgrim has Death collect the missing pages from the Book of the Dead. My theory is, what if in the last game (if it ever gets made), Vulgrim tries to redeem himself in Lucifer’s eyes by offering a way to rebuild his armies with the Artifacts and the complete Book of the Dead. Afterwards, there’s this huge armada that the Four Horsemen will have to fight against before the last boss fight. You know, as a way to wear them out so they’re easier to take out. Hopefully, the Horsemen will get serious butt and defeat the final boss, whoever it is, and at least end the story of Darksiders.
The magnetic pathways are very reminiscing of the Spider Ball in Metroid 2(and their remakes and fanmades) and the Prime trilogy. Bu of course you already knew this. ;)

I recently put on my tryhard panties to get the BFA achievement in all the Darksiders games. Your guides have been super helpful. Esp3cially the angelic beast part in DS1 and the collectathon in DS 2. And you are entertaining AF. Are you on hiatus again?
I find it ironic that in Darksiders 2, Kuddlesnot preferred the heavy weapons. While in Darksiders 3, he prefers the fast weapon from the Flame Hollow. Interesting, as I thought he would have preferred the heavy weapon from the Force Hollow.🤔

Hey Kuddle, I'm still on the second part of your backtrack collection videos, but I noticed you haven't updated in 2 months since you released this video. Did something come up in real life that is causing delays in getting to the next sin, or is it just that you are having a bit of trouble getting it to the point that you can do the workup to the next sin while taking as little damage as possible? Sorry if I seem a little impatient, but I'm just the kind of guy who likes to know what's going on in regards to walkthrough series I like. I look forward to the next update when you feel comfortable enough gameplaywise to get it done!

While I can't comment on how potent it is, the one other thing Rage benefits from is evasion attacks, as I am pretty sure a Wrath Lurcher is guaranteed to spawn on a counter-attack. I havent at all tested the difference in potency between Rage and Azazel though, so I dont know if you could argue for Rage being useful for bosses on an Evade heavy play style. But I do imagine you're right about where they're most useful.
I think the question is probably most important with the Flame and Stasis Wrath abilities, Stasis especially, since wrath lurchers can increase how long you maintain that form. It may be possible that Azazel can also extend those abilities, but I've never tested it very thoroughly (I also dont actually remember if the Flame Wrath move works the same as stasis, but I'm assuming it does)
Its really a guaranteed spawn? Now that I think about it, I think I do get wrath lurchers even when not killing something, I just figured I wasn't seeing things right or something. I'll have to test that! That does make the active effect less necessary but the passive would be more rewarding more often. If they don't have to spawn only on a kill. Then you are right it would be more of a situational thing.
That is also something that didn't click for me, that getting a wrath lurcher extends the "active" effects of Flame and Stasis. Definitely worth a deeper dive before going more in detail about combat!
@@Kuddlesnot yeah! I am honestly glad that MOST enhancements always have that passive benefit that makes them worth considering even a little bit. And that all gets amplified even more once the Keepers of the Void weapons show up.
I honestly think the only enhancement that is extremely limited in it's use is Veneration from KotV. I was kinda shocked by how limited that was, every bit of testing I tried gave me the impression that both passives are exclusively for the barbs of scorn. Which just does not make it very flexible. Even the Crucible Enhancements at least have a passive effect for the wrath attack of their respective hollow. Perdition for Salvation is also exclusive, but idk, since the passives are more straight forward I have been more forgiving of it. Salvation's always been a supplemental tool rather than a core weapon, so an exclusive enhancement to really boost it's power/speed felt justified. But with Veneration it is just a buff that struggles to perform outside of group fights, with no other benefits.
@TheKeyblader133 agreed. I think veneration is a great example of something that seems like an obvious choice, but soon as it clicks that it is a souls-like and bosses and big bois are a huge portion of the combat, the way you need to approach builds changes. It also was confusing to me that it is the first time "critical hits" is even introduced as a concept in the game! (or am i blind?) Like, what is a critical hit in this context now? Determining "physical damage" and arcane damage acting differently for offensive vs defense so now critical hits fits in to that schema how exactly? Lol
Now if you actually have an answer for me on any of this, I'm all ears.

Would you consider making a hollow showcase episode after completing the game? You could use one of your NG+ save files (I assume you have a bunch!) where all hollow weapons are max level and basically go through some comabt, perhaps against the same enemy/enemies, using each hollow and showcasing its strenghts and weaknesses, along with its wrath skills etc.
I've noticed people love storm and fire, but would really like to see a maxed out stasis, for example.

I am planning right now to do some sort of combat deep dive after completing the game. What form that exactly takes I'm not sure yet, maybe it is related to Crucible strategies, maybe not, but definitely something on my mind! @@t0054083 I can confirm it definitely works on Steam, PC, current patch. However, I did realize I did not specify that I was already in the water when I triggered havoc, not before.
If I trigger havoc before entering the green water, I do die.
So what I do is jump in, and immediately trigger Havoc. Then you can just run across worry and fancy free!
I will not be surprised if you already know about it, but gonna talk about 7:14 below if anyone's unaware of that area (it isn't a spoiler but i'm treating it like one, lmao)
It's still funny to me how cheesable the Chosen is at the end of that area. I didn't learn about it until within the last year, and dont recall if I learned it myself or if someone else taught me. But the Storm Hollow completely neuters the whole gimmic, and not even as an exploit xD I ended up recording a video of it here, but basically anything that triggers the Storm Hollow's chain lightning will hit his purple orbs when he charges the big wave attack. So instead of having to hit them directly with Salvation, you can just do a charged Salvation throw at the boss, or a charged hollow attack, and the lightning will hit both orbs immediately xD

I did not know that! Good to know! I think when we get there this is definitely worth mentioning, but I want to show the "intended" way as well.
I know sometimes when I'm frustrated with a boss, and I've looked up guides, if the way it is beaten is something that feels cheesy, it is just a letdown. But sometimes it is just a relief that there is an easy way to get past it. So this way, we can get the best of both worlds!

Remember when you compared 2 to a GOW like fighting style, well, I was wondering if there’s a chance you could do a (Greek) GOW 100%, I’d love to see your take on the 3 games, or just the first game, I think it’d be interesting to see the humor, the experience, and the skill, you can put into the game!
I really hope they do strife’s story in ds4. I was underwhelmed with ds3, tho I am following your guides to get everything.

They already did Strife's story in Darksiders: Genesis. That is the game that came out after Darksiders 3. I think Darksiders 4 will be all about all four of the horsemen now working together and that will be like the finale of the series.

I'm not sure what the best is in terms of gameplay. As long as we either a) continue the story with Strife or b) have the full gang for one big finale for the story, I will be happy!

@@vitorpolegato2072 Crucible was technically first, but it doesn't really matter. Since crucible is a combat arena and Void is more content. I would probably recommend Void first because it gives you the 4 extra weapons with passives for enhancements!

I liked the underwater section, but I hate the Davy Jones/Cthulhu-esque foes. In the Crucible, they're among the most obnoxious out of the many obnoxious enemies. I have noticed many enemies in this game dodge, and I wish Fury wielded a firearm like War and Death eventually do. I suppose that would make enemies dodging superfluous though. The only parts of the underwater section I really hated were the block puzzles. They became so very tedious.
Even with Salvation, fighting them is annoying. The timing windows of the range attack is what bothers me the most out of the water.
@@Kuddlesnot In the Crucible, I like battling the skeletons and small zombies. When Scorn is upgraded enough, it satisfyingly tears through their large groups quickly. They're the only foes I enjoy fighting in the Crucible. Everyone else dodges, pins you, or as you mentioned, has obnoxious windows for the safest time to strike. The swooping attack of these enemies in the water is something I completely forgot about lol.

Whatever collectibles remain down there, I don't know if I'd have the patience to seek them out, after seeing those enemies again. I'm right before the final battle in the story, but when I do play the game lately, I just go through the Crucible to grab more attribute points. I wonder if I should increase the difficulty level...maybe not haha.

i may have used all of my luminous visage expect for the 2 in this video, currently lvl 45 and it hurts that you still have all of yours and at lvl 42
I'm saving them because as you get higher level (especially if going for lvl 100 for the NG+ achievements) it makes a huge amount of difference at those later soul-requiring levels. These early levels are only a splash in the bucket! I can get 20k souls a lot easier than 120k. And the visages don't care if you are level 45 or level 145! It is just my preference, a slight time optimization. Really not a big deal overall either way!

@elektrostar4918 I'm still figuring it out. I think it will be a smaller collectathon because there isn't as much for just stasis since we cleaned up so much stuff in ep 7+8, and there is some stuff I want to keep until the end because of difficulty spikes.

When I get to Genesis, I'm first going to go for all achievements which can be done single player. After that, I don't know what the plan will be.
