    Jeff, I can"t thank you enough for your videos. Finally accurate advice from a real owner and not someone who sells or repairs hot tubs. I find the others tend to leave out information and even raise more questions. Your advice is both practical and to the point. You are like the helpful neighbor on the street. Amazing. I like your deck by the way..

    So helpful. I have a Divine model and will be using economy mode more in the hot California summer. Extra 20 don't hurt

    SO..I am going to use your advice on draining, cleaning and switching my HT to Bromine. My Amazon delivery of "oh yuk" and other chemicals arrived last night. Okay to my question: When I fill my fresh clean hot tub with water from my tap, will the chemicals work okay if I don't turn on the heater? Actually the model HT I have requires the heater on when the pumps go on, but I can set at the lowest setting which is I believe 65 degrees. It is still in the mid-high 80's here in NW Missouri and I would like to dip in nice cool refreshing water for a while. :) PS love you videos

      Thanks, Cher! The chemicals will work just fine no matter what the water temp. Heat just helps them dissolve a little quicker.
      If yours has a economy or sleep mode, that should drop the water temp down for you quite a bit. But compared to where I am in Texas, mid-80's sounds fantastic!
      Thanks for being here and your kind words!
      Jeff

    If your set at 98* and you said safe at time duration of 30min … but average body temp is 98.6* but can range from 97-99 for people. Now my serious question is, what do you mean by “safe” if that your temp? Like are you concerned that youd get dehydrated if you went past 30min?

    This a questions specifically with your hot tub. Possibly a previous hot tub.
    I can not seem to find a none biased opinion. It seems all newer hot tubs have their downfalls these days :-( Nothing last forever anymore...or even a full year before a service call.
    I was wanting your opinion on yours because I saw in a previous video you got it with the house. Master spa Twilight. Would you buy it for yourself and what is your honest opinion of it? TIA

      Hi Kaylee
      Yes, I would absolutely buy my hot tub if it hadn't come with the house. That doesn't mean I wouldn't shop around and see what all my options were, but I love my hot tub and considering it's probably 10 years old, it's great!

    Aw, I don't have a pool and I wanted to know about setting it to 84? Maybe adding from the hose? Thanks I'll be watching and learning form your videos!

    • @HotTubOwnerHQ
      @HotTubOwnerHQ  4 года назад

      Hi Melissa. Depending on where you live, it might not ever get to 84.
      I'm outside Austin (Texas) and right now it's in the hundreds here. I have my hot tub in sleep mode. Sleep and economy mode are both similar in that the heater only kicks on during filter cycles. But sleep mode can get you lower water temps than economy mode.
      I have mine set to 92 right now, in sleep mode, and the actual water temp is still about 99. Sleep mode is designed to (theoretically) drop water temp 20 degrees from what you have it set to. But if it's 105 outside (like it is here) and the sun beats down all day directly on the hot tub cover (like it does for me), it will never actually drop 20 degrees.
      You can drain off a little and top off with hose water. But that drop in temp won't last more than a day or 2 if it's as hot as it is where I live.
      I'm glad you're here and I hope you can get your temp where you want it! Cheers, Jeff

    Be careful though... with the cover off and no one in the tub, it's a potential hazard for children.

    • @HotTubOwnerHQ
      @HotTubOwnerHQ  4 года назад

      Agreed! I don't ever leave the cover off un-monitored. For my toddler, if I had the cover off for an extended period of time and wasn't right there, I would take the stairs away. Even with the stairs she's not tall enough to get in (by choice or accidentally), but it's always better to be safe than sorry! - Jeff
