Honestly, hot take, but battle passes should not be exclusive in this game. Sure you don’t have to sell them in the shop alone, but make old passes available for purchase once in a while. Ik it’s been said so many times but Halo did this and it worked well. It makes ZERO sense why one of Fortnite’s main marketable mascots, Peely, cannot be obtained in his debut game, just because he was shoehorned in a Battle Pass. That is like Nintendo locking Mario in a pass and not making him available as a character later in a Mario Game…don’t get me started on variants, they are not the same skin. Again with the Nintendo analogy, “No Mario for you cause you didn’t pay for a single pass out of 50, but don’t worry you can have Dr. Luigi instead!”

Recon Expert didnt need an og style, it was a typical item shop skin no one bought so they didnt bring it for a while to make hype and it was only like 700-800 days missing, which theres is alot of cosmetics that have been not seen in the shop for way longer
After playing around with the renegade raider theme skins and making a lot of different versions of it, Fortnite just said fuck it and released these skins anyways. Especially after the og pass which the whole purpose of it was to make replicas of the two skins and make them as identical as possible for season 1 og mode. Either dont make other variants of the skins that you KNOW FOR A FACT are only desired for them being og and not for the design (cuz they're ugly compare to the new stuff lets not play around) and just release the originals constantly, or dont release them and make variants. Its not gonna affect the account selling market either cuz they're gonna make og edit styles anyways so its genuinely just a quick cash grab and I don't like it at all

I think the craziest thing with all of this is, we know that past Battle Pass images were moved to a "Offer Catalog" folder, and though there were claims of Fortnite themselves stating they won't come back, that was only in relation to the removal of BP exclusivity going forwards. So nothing was quite for certain and it was very much a "wait and see." And now here we are, not yet to the point where they would theoretically bring back a Battle Pass (since the 1st proper one is in Season 2), but we have the return of Renegade Raider. So, we are still in the wait and see stage, but, they DID that. They just went and did that. And for what it's worth, I didn't start playing until the end of Season 2, but I have every single other Battle Pass (ironically with the sole exception of C5S3 as I was INCREDIBLY burnt out from the exclusivity), and I am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT on board with them bringing everything back. I do appreciate the feeling of scarcity in the cosmetics I use, but I also LOVE seeing other people using skins that I really like (always stoked to see Lynx pop up), and ultimately I just want people to be able to use the skins that they like. I'm a bit conflicted with the idea of OG Styles, but I'd be happy to have more options with some of my favorite skins, so I'll accept it either way.

I think one of the terms of the battle pass like on the bottom of the screen, says that the skin will only be available at a certain time like for example some are only available until like January 30 so I don’t really think they’re legally allowed to bring back battle pass skins. renegade raider did not count as a battle pass skin and so I don’t think battle passes will come back
Epic keeps doing this and they will continue to lose players. Again for most OG players having Rare skins actually helped the game in my opinion. But now that you can get anything which will probably be soon. You will see too many of the same skins and this game will be Finished and Rare skins helped create an Identity for certain players. (Also yes I really do think they did this to give Account Sellers the Middle Finger) But my friend who is a Hacker. Epic games could easily setup a system where it could detect when people give accounts to other players. But again it is really all about the Money! (So don't believe them).

As a person who’s played since season 0. I really don’t care about “skin exclusively”. I want to be able to get my older battle passes finished as I paid for them and couldn’t play everyday because of college. I want my damn omega lights.

If they release old BP items into the shop and give everyone who got those items back then from 2017-2019 a exclusive edit style then that's perfectly fine. It's an easy way to show who is a TRUE OG. But another way to show people are an "OG" is how old your account is/when it was created, which can allow people who couldn't buy Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper back then a chance to show how dedicated they are to the game and not how much they spent back then.

2M xp is nothing.. back in the day no one bought these skins due to the grind needed to unlock the ability to buy them. The xp needed should be equivalent.. something closer to like 400lvls.. It was hard!!
The history of; skull trooper, ghoul trooper than recon expert and now aerial assault trooper and renegade raider have been replaced by an edit style. At this point just bring back everything and give it an OG edit style even for the emotes like they did with ride on a pony. And don’t forget to bring back twitch prime bundles 🤓👍🤦♂️😂
@ITalk69 The whole bringing back OG passes idea you suggested is a unique selling point, especially now that since already existing skins will now have an extra edit style to people who owned it when it was more rare seems fitting, especially since a high majority of players ended up joining late. sad part is the wavebreaker was the thing they used to test the waters, not popular enough and owned by enough people for them to throw a fit, meaning it wont even get an og style, unlike the renegade raider and other season shop stuff, wavebreaker bundle was stated/marketed as limited time. it was not in the item shop, it was in the vbucks tab and was STATED to be limited time, you can watch old videos and see the proof. but yeah it wont get one because no one cared , but renegade gets a style...

As a person who’s played since season 0. I really don’t care about “skin exclusively”. I want to be able to get my older battle passes finished as I paid for them and couldn’t play everyday because of college.

If they release old BP items into the shop and give everyone who got those items back then from 2017-2019 a exclusive edit style then that's perfectly fine. It's an easy way to show who is a TRUE OG. But another way to show people are an "OG" is how old your account is/when it was created, which can allow people who couldn't buy Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper back then a chance to show how dedicated they are to the game and not how much they spent back then.
Or just make the new styles for new players, and leave originals untouched. You people are so entitled, its just pixels

Hmmm well Epic never said these meant these skins to be exclusive. They even said back when these skins came out that these OG season will eventually make a return in the item shop in the future 🤔

2M xp is nothing.. back in the day no one bought these skins due to the grind needed to unlock the ability to buy them. The xp needed should be equivalent.. something closer to like 400lvls.. It was hard!!

The history of; skull trooper, ghoul trooper than recon expert and now aerial assault trooper and renegade raider have been replaced by an edit style. At this point just bring back everything and give it an OG edit style even for the emotes like they did with ride on a pony. And don’t forget to bring back twitch prime bundles 🤓👍🤦♂️😂
None of those were ever exclusive though. Recon Expert didn’t even get an Edit style. The only real exclusive one was ride the pony
@ITalk69 The whole bringing back OG passes idea you suggested is a unique selling point, especially now that since already existing skins will now have an extra edit style to people who owned it when it was more rare seems fitting, especially since a high majority of players ended up joining late. I.e C2 - C4 with how late certain players were to FN.

The skins aren't rare anymore. The thing that made them rare was the time it wasn't in the shop. Both people aren't winning. People who sell accounts won't make anything off the skins anymore.
