The moat, which is at least 9 meters deep and runs east to west, was likely a significant defensive structure, possibly separating the Acropolis from the domestic parts of the city. The discovery challenges previous assumptions about the extent of Iron Age Jerusalem, indicating that the city was larger than previously thought, stretching further west than earlier believed. Look at all the effort going into digging and researching biblical sites to prove religious stories. You religious folks believe that your god wants all of us to believe in him and those stories. What you all fail to realize is that your god, if he exists, could easily provide tons of evidence without all the digging and conjecture. Use your brains, please, and recognize that this god just doesn't exist.
