I don't know Clay personally of course, and I'm just an old 74 yr. old race fan up here in N.H., but after watching these videos since they started pretty much, I don't think you would find any team with more spirit and drive, or a driver/leader with better values and personality than Clay. So good luck Andy---we'll be watching !! And Clay---this is cool what you're doing, introducing all the team players. I've really enjoyed the "behind the scenes" stuff you do--it's really nice to learn more about the whole deal for us out here, plus it makes the players feel good that they're being recognized for all their hard work and dedication. BEST OF LUCK IN '24 CLAY !!!
We can tell Andy is just a fun guy to be around. His personality is evident and he's a talented young man who's an asset to the team along side everyone else. Thanks for introducing us to him, Clay! Cheers!
Life on the road is not easy i give all these people credit, I'm so happy you're doing this Clay, they need to get the recognition they deserve, no does what you do Clay.
Andy seems like a laid back level headed guy. I know the feeling of being done with. Back when I was racing with a couples of buddy's we built a super gas car. We broke the transmission like 3 or 4 races in a row. We were getting of having to fix it every week. We finally made the decision to put a Lenco in it. Ended being the best decision we ever made!
Clay is one of the best nicest drag racers on the circuit in this day and age. They're just isn't anybody like clay. He is just the kind of guy you'd love to hang out with. Very honorable man.
It's super nice to get to know you, Andrew! Remember, some of the best leaders never wanted the job. You'll be great!

All the people seem very focused with a team spirit. Andy seems very genuine. Maybe a chart showing who moved where to what position . When Kaylynn left did this create this seeming domino effect. Thanks Clay.

Great series Clay. Brought back some good high school memories of a yellow 68 RS Camaro your boss (Rick) drove. He also did some weekend street racing here in Houston with it.
I'll say it again, I'm really liking these meet the crew videos. But it's also making me have regrets in a way because for the last 35 or so years I wondered if it was possible for me to get a job on a top fuel team and I just never tried. I figured you had to know someone or be a family member to get a job like that. I'm too old and crippled to do it now. I have a hard time changing sparkplugs in my truck lol. I don't always comment on the videos but I've seen every one on this channel and gave them all a thumbs up!! I want to see you guys win Indy this year and of course win the championship but if not the championship at least a top five. I feel like you got cheated last year at Ennis but I don't even want to think about it anymore. You've got a great team and crew chief and I know you guys are going to do better this year than you did last year.

What a great guy, another team member that has made mistakes and admits it. With these people in your team you all could be 2024 champs.
True behind the scenes
Wow he did nearly the same path I did.. Started building cars in high school, went to vocational school.. I went for diesel since my step father was a construction company general manager. Had a path lined out. From there got accepted into Ohio Diesel Technical institute but opted for the Navy instead at that point in life.

Dear Mr. Millican, The new intro music needs one thing.. *more cowbell!* ANY-HOO.. can you imagine training in a vocational tech school, expecting to work at a dealership, THEN, going to work for a Top Fuel team?? It's kinda like going thru flight school, and going straight to flying for the Blue Angels of the Thunderbirds! That is incredible. Think about this, If Andrew ever goes out and looks for a job in the automotive industry with such a resume as HIS?? *O V E R Q U A L I F I E D ! !*

I feel like you and your team have a similar attitude as one of my great bosses had. He wanted people to fit in as a team just as much or more than skills depending on the position.
He always said:
You can always teach someone how to do something but you can't teach someone to be a good b@rstad.

Clay just to let you know Charlie Peppers died. Figured you knew him from IHRA he ran prostock. 81 yrs old. 😢
My brother was born in Reading PA we lived in Reading till we moved to Birds borough PA then to Newark NY where i was born before my brother. We were in racing custom car truck motorcycle building owned Texaco Service Station in New York Fingerlakes. Almost won D/Gas NHRA Nationals my brother drove i built maintained last run for D/Gas National Chanpion input shaft to 4 speed tranny twisted in two torque break so much for championship. 10 years later tje garbage man came up to me admitted he stole the spare trsnny from our shop even told me where it went. He had become a Christian and had to admit the theft. I said well atleast you admitted it.

Unfortunately I stopped watching this video at about half way because there was so much noise in the background I couldn't hear what you two were saying. I don't know much about Andy so I wanted to know more but not this time. Sorry Clay.
