- I Lived As An IFBB Pro OLYMPIAN Bodybuilder For 24 Hours
Ever wondered what it's REALLY like to be a top-level bodybuilder like Derek Lunsford, Nick Walker, Samson Dauda, Hadi Choopan, Chris Bumstead, Terrence Ruffin, or Urs Kalecinski? I took on the challenge, eating, training, and even posing like an IFBB pro Olympian for a full 24 hours. From the intense workouts to the strict diet (and SO much chicken!), this experience pushed me to my limits. See how I transformed, what I learned, and whether I have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Being a pro is all about getting the right macros in: 300g of protein, 200g of carbs, 3g of gear
Eat clen, tren hard, anavar give up.
Don't forget elite genetics.
Driving x minutes to a gym to just walk is wild
😂
USA🦅🇺🇸🍔
Walking outside is wild. That’s where animals poop. 😂
Did you watch that segment on how many bacteria there is on an inside carpet? Imagine being outside, that will expose you to so many unknown variables. Better just take the car to the gym.
@@daniels-mo9ol It will expose you to real life? Omgg🥺
Brandon I think you should talk about the gear, it is maybe the most important part of their lifestyle, without it they’d look like any other person.
I like working out but I would absolutely hate this lifestyle.
That's why noone will ever remember your name.
@@yonchrr Yes, because the only way to make a name for yourself in life is through bodybuilding. lmao
You forgot all the gear, site oils hgh, insulin and massages to help break muscle down more
We're all gonna make it brahs 💪
Give this man just a little bit of gear, I see potential 😂😂
He has a very good physique, no cap.
Some people prefer to be athletic rather than having useless bulk. There are a lot negatives associated with having that much bulk. One of which is sleep apnea bringing its own set of problems. You seem to be joking at least I'm hoping you are.
Good video as always, big lad.
You forgot the most important part, Special supplements.
Bro forgot to do 3 sets of tren
So much great food loves it. Almost finished the hypertrophy plan, last 3 weeks to go..
TRAINING IS THE SPORT
His girl seems chill AF, like shes just down to chill, smoke weed and vibe out to some music on a date night.
I love drinking black coffee, and doing fasted cardio. Also, i have tried meal one before. Not a fan, but you gotta do what you gotta do to be a champion.
Only fitness channel i watch start to end
Buff dudes always with quality content
She's just standing there... lurking...
Looking fantastic
That’s how I do 😎
“Menacingly!!!”
(Not really)
Say NO to the cheese tax! 🐶
Great video
I saw you mixing the eggs and stuff and I was like "oh cool, he's mixing it all up so he can make some scrambled eggs with the goods mixed in". then he drank it.....
I like to wear my walking-outside clothes on the treadmill. Makes me feel the juxtaposition of reality as both inner and outer nondual interaction 😊
It’s not a sport, it’s a pageant.
Impressive! How'd the following 24 hours with next to no water work out?
Great video😁😁
How are you guys taking the news of Bumstead's retirement? Sad to see him go, but 6x classic mr. Olympia in a row is still insane.
thanks for the video
if you're doing everything an IFBB pro is doing for 24 hours, does that mean you had to turn in your natty card for this?
You left out the vita- serum. It is possible to be xl with hard work and diet and it takes a few years to figure it out naturally. But to get the card. And have what is called freak genetics. It takes shortcuts. And there is a price to be paid. Thanks for all you do and being real and truthful. Keep it real.
Hehehe. You forgot about the gear though. 😅
That must be one hell of comfy car seat to warrant that wasted time, money and energy. ;)
what step is it when they inject the juice
5:30 the sport of bodybuilding is more time consuming than basketball, etc. Playing a traditional sport, you can get blitzed on the weekend and celebrate and eat almost anything. Bodybuilders, you will see that one cheat meal in their physique
Did you inject massive amounts of gear as part of their routine?
24 hours is not enough. Would like to see a week to amonth video.
How many calories for how many kg of body weight was that?
Tilapia😱
I just could never see myself eating that much day in day out.
It takes the right steroids and eating /cardio to get to be in the Olympia. Oh and also great genetics.
Sleep is a a hugely missed component of health. I hope you're getting good sleep, as well. A last meal with more time before bed is an easy way to help improve sleep, I've heard.
If your cardio is walking, why don’t you have a treadmill at home lol
I struggle every day with getting enough protein due to some allergies and stomach issues.
I’m allergic to eggs, milk, oats, gluten. Every protein powder I’ve ever had makes me throw up within an hour.
Any recommendations? I’ll try anything.
Chicken
Beef
Fish
Try different animals
Meat-based and vegetable-based protein powders are available. Veggie protein is not as efficient per calorie:protein ratio, but it's there. You'd likely have to go online to find stuff like pure beef protein isolate and it tastes nasty. I'd rather just have a meat-heavy diet, or more to the point: prioritize protein. Whatever you eat, make sure the biggest portion in a meal by volume or calories is a high-protein food, at least on the level of fatty meat.
Also, you _should_ ask your GP or a dietician instead of random schmucks on the internet. I dunno what the hell I'm talking about.
@@maddockemerson4603 I saw a “nutrition specialist.” They told me to just put butter on everything 😆
I’ve never tried the beef or veggie proteins before. Just haven’t wanted to risk spending $50+ on something that might make me sick
@@bigrod359 I love eating animals!
Animal sources and nuts, perhaps cottage cheese etc. and don't forget you don't need vast amounts of protein, 120-130grams is usually fine, people just tend to forget that our protein needs are based on our lean muscle body weight and not our total body weight.
Yeesh, you must be far south or filmed this a while ago. Here it's almost still pitch back dark out at 7am.
I thought this video would be 24 hour of you eating chicken, broccoli, and rice. Oh and plenty of creatine, jajaja.
Question about rice. Is your service size (200grams) based on uncooked or cooked weight. I've asked this question to numerous people and get different answers.
We always do it based on cooked weight!
Thanks for the reply. How do you account for the water added to the rice?@@mikaylagill5855
@@mikaylagill5855I also do it on cooked weight
All the people complaining that he'susing a treadmill instead of walking outside.... do you not realize it's set to incline lmao?
Comment for the algorithm
Also you guys kinda already do a lot of this stuff. 😂
I can't do IFBB, because I love big meals
Lucky if I could through two of those meals a day
I wonder how ahtletes ate, trained and lived in the achient greek as they did not have all the knowledge abd convinience we have today they still built some impressive physics as the statues show
It most be such a hard life beeing a competition bodybuilder with the workouts, food at certain times and sleep
What if your car breaks down, you or girlfriend ord kids get sick or loosing someone, life is complicated enough as it is
Just the relationship to food, I would think you get tired of just eating and just enjoying food
I don’t believe they were like the statues. I’m sure their fat percentage was really low so that they were jacked but I think they weren’t that big like a bodybuilder. Art made it that way I believe. Artists desired that way. This is just a guess of course but how can they diet like this? These much protein, these much time to eat these much meals… They had a life!
I agree. As an artist myself, most of the time, the goal isn't to simply copy reality but to push it. We often overstate for the sake of clarity. The audience/viewer shouldn't be trying to figure out what we mean they should immediately feel it. IMHO.
Why drive to a gym to just walk on a treadmill? Why dont just walk outside of your house, like a park or something? Thats way better imo, at least for me.
Agreed
Because he's a bodybuilder, DUH. can't just walk outside just like some random bloke
because they're doing incline walking to burn more calories, not regular walking
Might not be the safest idea in the very early morning. I know he’s a big strong guy, but still
Totally agree. And as far as the incline goes, just walk a little faster.
Why people drive to the gym to do cardio?
Cardio for an Olympian is equivalent to a casual stroll for 30 minutes. Do they really have the aerobic capacity of a 70-year-old? I would never call a 30 minutes walk cardio workout.
B D !!!!!
I will forever never ever understand why someone first thing in the morning takes a car to a gym for cardio. Just go outside for a walk or jog, specifically for pro bodybuilders they really overthink life
Strength competition soon?
We did one with Pudzonowski recently but let us know which other one you'd like to see!
@@buffdudesmaybe you two could see who can bend/crush/break as many objects in a row
why would you drive to the gym to walk on a treadmill? something i will never get 🙃
lol it’s about the right steroid cycle U kidding me 😂 yes u gotta workout but they wouldn’t look anything close to that without their cycle
ofc you need gear to become a pro bodybuilder but Cbum is widely known for lowering all his doses for health reasons and still won 6x in a row lmao, clearly theres SOME skill to it
this doesn't apply to all the roid monkey instagrammers though, they are risking their health and look almost natty lol
Feeling sorry for your girlfriend. . . Protein-farts ahoy.
Drive to the gym to walk? Jesus what a dystopian life...
Not his fault that the city planners didn't think of making sidewalks. :) Much of the USA just isn't very walkable, unfortunately.
@@agabuffwhite very true, that's why I love living in Wyoming with wide open spaces and plenty of running room😊 BTW love the channel
@@agabuffwhite Amen, and you get dirty looks from heavy people driving by in their giant cars!
Are you competing?
There is is no requirement to get up at 5.30.
Sleep is one of the most important aspects of recovery.
Plus if a pros job is just train eat sleep that's not hard.
Train eat sleep doesn't sound that hard, but to do it correctly and effectively and to keep the consistence is where the hard part is, that not everyone can do.
that's what I never understand with these guys telling people to get up so early! Sleep is the bedrock of good health, do not sacrifice it for anything
@@Seanod123 What time you wake is determined my how many meals you have to eat that day. We get the amount of "needed" sleep. 10 hours isn't needed.
I guess you could get up at 0800, and go to bed at 2400, but then you'll have to deal with rush hours etc.
I wake up at 4.30 and is not as hard as most people think. It is just about discipline and take yourself seriously enough.
💪
You needed to get a full body wax or hair removal to be in the bodybuilding mindset too.
How are you guys not married yet :(
It takes gear and a resisant body to endure it
Thing is you're natty, and I hope you both stay that way. Buff Dudes Natty by Nature. Yats Ffub and Yats Yttan!
Unless you're on some heavy gear (which you are not) and you're suffering from its side effects, both physical and mental, you're not even close to feeling the way these guys feel.
💪🦾
What kind of self tanner was that?
Why do Americans drive everywhere? Driving somewhere to do cardio?
Many places aren't built for walking, so you have to drive even short distances. That's what I found every time I visited the US (mostly California)
@@alexp601 what does “built for walking” mean? What structures do you need or walk?
@@DavidKRoebuck like there’ll be roads that are just for cars, like an A road or small motorway. It’s not all walkable streets. Even a short distance around the corner might need a car.
@@DavidKRoebuck That means that unless you want to try and walk on a highway or through the bushes there is nowhere for you to walk. No sidewalks connecting A to B

I hope everyone "eating before bed" is actually giving their stomachs time to digest the food... when you sleep your digestive system doesn't move as fast as when you are awake and anything in your stomach ends up backing up into your esophagus giving you acid reflux type diseases over time... and no I'm not making this up, go ask a doctor.
That’s the truth. I had severe reflux disease in the past and the doctor said no eating before bed (at least 2-3 hours after last meal) and it worked. I can’t always manage it but it’s very important.
ROIDs, Ster-ROIDs, ROIDs
Liver and kidneys crying in the corner

So, when you going to put a ring on it, bro
They don't need one.
Forgot the drugs. No seriously. You forgot that. The insanely low fat content these guys have, the copious amounts of food they consume are somewhat sustained by the gear they take. I don't mean to demean what they do, the diligence they have or the craft they perform but there is a reason why few if any natural bodybuilders are IFBB Pros.
Relax bro it’s just a video we know pros use gear
I noticed you didn't scream turk builder and try and sell us a cookbook 🤔
Missing the gear. You can’t live the life being natty
You did the steroids too right?
Drugs… lots of drugs
5:18 Lets get it right, bodybuilding is a pageant show and not a sport. Nothing wrong with that but lets call it like it is.
Dont forget all the drugs and growth hormones!
I'm no expert, but, I think it takes more than 24 hours..
C'mon it only takes a lot of roids and that's it😅
Professional bodybuilder:
Coffee
Cardio
Then go to the local chemist buys his whole stack of chemicals and drugs for the day
Rest of the day eat/tablets/injections/ eat/tablets/injections and so

Driving to the gym to walk on a treadmill is funny
That thing on the right of the thumbnail doesn't look like anything I aspire to be.
Lol like it's hard and only one day? I do this full time. Cmon buff dudes. This is a normal day for yall
I don't get the point of this video, 24 hours isn't really enough to benefit from, he's not going to do a show, he barley talk's about what the exercise are, what the sets or weights are, none of the food is prepped despite them having done meal prepping in the past so it doesn't feel like this was a planned video, to be honest I like these guys but the past couple years have felt like wheel spinning in place with ads for exercise programs sometimes.
It's because the finals of the Mr Olympia was yesterday and Chris Bumstead is a huge sell for views, so anything related to him will garner clicks. Cool thing is that Bumstead has his own channel so you can actually see how a 6 x Mr Olympia Classic Physique winner lives, eats and trains as a bodybuilder.
Funny, i eat about 5K calories a day, only red fatty meat, butter, eggs and bacon and i never do cardio or hard lifts, only lifting light waight, and i look the same as this guy in the video.
No you don't.
You shouldn't eat Tilapia. You should only eat wild caught fish. There is no such thing as wild caught Tilapia - it is all farm raised.
It’s cheap and delicious and good for you. It’s also fish.
You can also eat a shitton of Tilapia because it contains basically zero mercury
RUclipsr trying to be bodybuilders.what a joke😅😅
Well this is a waste of time because you didn’t take steroids !!!
05:30 is too late. The damn sun is almost up, stop sleeping all day! 🤣
To be honest, you not gonna get any real understanding of an IFBB pro bodybuilder in a day of a life 24 hours training
This dude was the man in his day, he knows how it feels to train crazy and be on gear
