I own and frequently use 2 Chinese camp chairs. They have been flawless the last 3 years for my 200lbs frame.
I did recently purchase the Helinox chair zero just for the weight for my UL summer camping load out.
As a fellow Canadian, I’m happy I finally found this channel!

I've just brought the sportineer chair and found it very comfortable and easy to assemble/disassemble, I wouldn't pay several times the price for a lighter wobblier chair.
    Good to see you back

I have the Helinox and like it so far. Purchased it at Camper's Village back in May for $89.00 CDN, plus tax. Originally I though it was too flimsy. I am 6ft, 200lbs, but it is great. Sitting in it now. 🍻👍

Good to see you back and hope all is well. The Sportneer chair looks to be slightly larger and more comfy but how it will bear up to constant use will be interesting to see but for the price it looks a good deal.

So good to see you out in nature again my friend!!! Im all about saving money. A chair is a chair. At that price you can replace the cheap one if needed and still spend less. Im heading out in 2 weeks to camp on lake Superior for a weekend alone. Im so excited.. No skeeters!!! woo hooo. Cheers Michael!

Hi Jacqueline! The cheaper chair is pretty good and as you say so much cheaper! The ultralight people will pay the extra for the 1lb weight of the Helinox - But for me either chair is great! Hope you have a great time camping - I love that area! 👍

Wanted a light weight chair for some time. Found one on sale 50% off at Atmosphere/SportChek. No the cheapest chair on the market but much less expensive than the Helios and very close in weight. So far, I am loving it. Time will tell

I rec'd my leg adjustable Sportneer chair this p.m. The chair height is adjustable from 13"-15". I opened & followed the assembly instructions which you completely ignored.
Attach the fabric to the bottom of the chair frame, that which you sit on, FIRST
2nd, use the finger hold pull tab on the corners to easily attach the fabric back to the chair frame back supports.
The TRICK is getting the frame & fabric back into the smallish storage pack.
It's a chair I'll take with me on day hikes. I seriously doubt I'll carry it on overnighters.
    Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

"Pounds are cheap ounces are expensive" as the saying goes. I have the Helinox and love it but if I'm backpacking I count every ounce and there's no way I'd consider anything heavier. Even the Helinox would stay home on a long difficult hike.

I came across one of your vids yesterday and i feel compelled to asseverate my complete adoration of your wondrous furry companion Esme. She is absolutely enchanting, when her coat is fully grown out, her little legs can barely be seen, she is akin to a corkie mixed with a lab, do you know her biological heritage? PS How did an Englishman end up in Canada? Although i cannot blame you for choosing to reside there whatsoever, its a beautiful landscape

Nice video mate. Not sure why folk bother with companies like Sportneer who don't innovate, but just clone other great designs like the Helinox range of chairs. And do it poorly I might add.

    • @TheEmporiumOutdoors
      @TheEmporiumOutdoors  3 года назад +1

Hey Juz70, I don't agree on this one my friend. Helinox make great gear and I have spent lots of money with them. Absolutely love the Cot One models. However, to build something to a budget IS innovation in my mind. I use my sportneer chair 10x more than my Helinox because is more sturdy and I don't worry about breaking or losing it. The sportneer is very well made but maybe not Helinox level 👍

Request for new chair review: I found my helinox high back chair worthless because all the pressure on my tailbone made it uncomfortable, until I made two styrofoam feet to raise the front two legs a couple inches. Now it's amazing. I bought rocking feet for it😃... Do the small lowback chairs have similar properties? & is it comfortable reclined back? (Sportneer makes the same chair w/adjustable legs) I find footrests are essential too.
