I don't know if anybody else has mentioned this, but what you can do to keep your toes from getting wet. A simple grocery bag. Make sure the bag doesn't have any holes first, but put your wool sock on. Slip the bag over your foot and then slip back into the boot. When I was a kid living in the snowy area, we used bread bags. Wool socks, bread bag, snow boots! Worked wonderful!

When I started Van Life there was no solar, there was no telephone, there was no hot or cold shower, there was no fridge and I had a .50 caliber bullet box wood stove that took 3 full paper bags of tumbleweed stems to cook a very small pot of rice.
The only saving grace was gasoline was .35c a gallon.

I get TONS of packages too and i'm often away, for example a few weeks ago we went to Montréal for 6 days. I put large bins outside my door and asked the mailman to put my parcels in there and i put a sign on it "packages" for Amazon an dother delivery people so when i arrive home the stuff is in the bins, portected from rain/snow/theft etc and i don't have to sit around for it 👍

Thank you for what you are doing. I’ve a full time job, but I look forward to every videos that you have ever produced, old and new ones. They sort of help me unwind whenever I am free. My Fulltime RV kitties love my Olympian Wave 8 heater. We winter from Wyoming to Arizona's dry air. We don't give each other shocks and condensation is not an issue in AZ ever and never was a bother in Wyoming either. It doesn't require any electricity. Really nice when it's, night, cloudy or your solar panels are buried in snow. Something to consider. Happy trails.

I lived in 100 Mile House for 24 years and it gets down to -30 often but I swear these last 2 weeks in White Rock I have been colder than I have been in years.

When i lived in Montreal people had to get up at 3 or 4 AM to go move their car if it was parked on the street because of the snowplows. Now that's insane to me. The plow trucks literally have this telltale superloud siren and it wakes people up and they have to scramble on coats and boots over pj's and run outside to move their car. Crazy. I love my bus pass LOL and now anyways we have a parking spot at home if Bip gets a car. I have no intention to drive whatsoever 😆

I had a shoulder injury last year, very painful, was very difficult to do the smallest things like pull on a pair of shoes or get dressed. I went for massage therapy and chiropractic treatments and did daily stretch exercises hoping to speed recovery....the chiropractor told me she'd had a similar injury years before and it took a year to heal. In my mind I thought, "nah, no way, maybe 3 months with all I'm doing"... She was very close to right, it took about 4 months for the daily pain to subside, about 8 months before I was 90% range of motion recovered and pain was substantially gone. Now, 15 months later, pain has been fully gone for months but my range of motion is about 95% but I'm still working on it. Crazy! So 5 weeks isn't that bad, patience. 😎

Is there a reason you don't park in or in front of your shop, especially on snow days? I understand doing the van life thing for your channel, but you have the building available, why not use it? You'd save gas and heat expenses, especially if you parked indoors. You could get under an electric blanket and be plenty cozy in that garage.

Don’t comment much, but your boot - you’ve got to start walking and using your foot and ankle more without the boot. If the swelling is down, start using it more. The boot will keep your ankle immobilized and the muscles, etc will start stiffening up due to lack of use.

Chrome it took me 2.5 months to recover from breaking my ankle in 3 places. I was told it was easier to recover from broken ankle then sprained or a soft tissue injury. And I had 2 plates and 12 pins holding things together. They went back in 3 years later and took most of it out except for 1 plate a a few pins because of location. It was an SOB to put it in and she figured it would be the same trying to get it out. So I guess after I'm cremated some day I'll get sifted 😂😂😂.

If you see this, have you tried wrapping your ankle with say an ace bandage or a fabric brace that would fit inside your boot?

CHROME PUT A PLASTIC BAG OVER YOUR TOES INSIDE THE BOOT. In 2012 I broke my ankle and spent the whole winter in one of those boots after the cast. I lived an hour west of lake superior , in Minnesota, near the Canada border.

I still don't know what happened to your foot.. sprained or twisted your ankle? How. Gland you're almost done with the boot. Be careful and continue to enjoy your life's journey!
