As someone that works in a warehouse I wouldn't put those on a rubber matt leave them on the pallet so u can take it in and out easier and makes sure u don't have like a battery that sits for years that keeps getting shoved back and it will save ur back and ur employees which should be big enough incentive on its own for you to leave them on the pallets
You need to put product that is on the floor on pallets. Just incase there is a flood, the product doesn't get wet. Also, just putting the product on pallets makes it easier to put the product on the racks and move with the forklift.
Career Inventory person here. The rule is First In First Out. Keep the pallets on the bottom, easier to move when new stock comes in. Also consider rolling racks smaller inventory items.
I’d recommend a dating system, so each box (ie: batteries) you know when it came in, how old it is and you have First In, First Out. Keep rotating inventory. Looks AWESOME 👏‼️
Use pallets on the bottom to protect from water, in case of a flood. The heavy stuff goes on the bottom. It will also deter creepy crawlies from exploring your stock and make it super easy to get the forklift in when you need to move it.
Listen I’m watching and commenting because I support you Chrome. That said my level of give AF about the shelves (racking system) … is right on par with Cruz 😂
He is showing the shelving, installation, interviewing the installers, and showing their catalog because he is probably getting a big discount for promoting their product on his channel, for his business.
removing the palet to make extra storage sounds like a good idea, untill you need to lift one of the batteries from the back and you are bent down to get it and lifting crouched over. good way to throw out your back again
Got my shirts yesterday. Thanks so much. That's some sweet racks. Organizing plus factor for sure. The hardest part about no videos is all you guys took a break at the same time. Lol. Hoping today is the beginning for more videos. I missed you and Cruz.
So the right color was Worth await. It really looks good. Have a good time pulling it all together I think you'll have a good crew and you do hard work. Good luck.
I suggest keeping the pallets on the bottom under your batteries in case of water on the floor. You could always move the rack above them up a peg or two to fit another row of batteries.
Congrats on the new racks. They look awesome. Get a little havelock wool to stuff in the areas where you need it-nooks and crannies. Cruzie wants a place to inventory and store his treats🤣
You look SO excited Chrome. Cruz not giving a hoot about the racks was funny. If it's not soft and cozy, he doesn't care. It's so good to see your thought process. Congratulations and well done on using a Canadian company!
That Amazon sound deadener is great stuff. I covered my van floor and used it on the walls, and you can't hear anything inside. When your driving you don't hear the road noise or tire noise, and when your sleeping it is quiet! I highly recommend it as I am very satisfied and impressed with mine. Blessing to you and Cruise! Happy Trails in the new home :)
The only thing that might be an issue with taking out the pallets on the floor would be that although you have the ability to add an additional row is that getting to the back and lifting heavy batteries while bent over might be a problem for Amanda's back, heck, even for me. With the pallets, it's much easier to use the forklift to back it out and get it out.
Put in small shelving on the bottom to put the most popular selling items on broken down into individual boxes and use the top storage as inventory and overflow that way you & your help don’t have to take a whole pallet out to fill an order and then put it back on the top shelf. Just a suggestion from an older guy who has been there done that 😬 love ya bro keep on doin what you’re doin ! 👍🏻
Wow!!! Stunning racks! The fellow there was showing you, in the catalog, the attachment for the forklift that allows a person to go up in it. That would allow picking individual boxes from the upper levels. That would also give you a wheelchair lift to the upstairs.
Wow Chrome. You are moving steadily along! Woohooo!!! The shelving looks terrific. Remember to take a break once in a while. Take care, know that you are awesome!
If there are piles of "Treats" , Cruzy will certainly give a billion dollar reaction!! 😆😂🤣 We are so excited for you as well😍. New rack system looks awesome, red is absolutely stunning. 👍 Love and hugs to all you guys.😘🥰🤗
Hey chrome with the sprinter are you going to line the inside and underside with that anti rust encapsulation paint to prevent rust from forming before you begin the building process? Best salt the earth now so nothing (rust) grows
some friendly advice... lower your end rack to below the opening at the back of your stand up lift truck (fork lift) ... it is an area where the operator can get pinned against the controls.. or put a vertical bar from the top of the cage to the body of the lift truck...
I love your videos, chrome, in a time of “high anxiety “ I tune into van city van life to detox from the world I’m fixing to do premium, I could never do what you and cat lady do but I think your both so inspiring to a lot of people can’t be wrong on cruise either💕💕‼️‼️🫵💯❤️✊. Love cruise 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Nice to have you back. I had a Cruz and Chrome marathon last night, season 3. When Chrome does not supply a video, he has plenty to choose from. The red looks nice, but I would not have waited, I am not a patient man. Hope you get a schedule back.
@kimberlymoyer1232 whose to say they didn't discount the product or give it to him as it was pretty much an advertisement for that company ....lord knows he is smart enough to at least figure out a win win compromise with them where he gets a great deal and they get their product advertised...wouldn't say there was no cost , there was just more than likely an agreement in place that benefitted both parties.....
Hi Chrome and Cruise,I been following you for years I am so very happy for your success you always have worked very hard from your early days before you customized your van that's how long I will continue to follow you, your the Best and Cruise is also😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.
Don’t put anything on the floor on rubber matting. Use pallets. Three reasons: one, it sucks to crawl under the rack to drag heavy batteries from the back. And they won’t slide on rubber matting. Two, those heavy batteries, combined with rubber mats will eventually ruin your floor. No airflow, the possibility of a chemical reaction between the rubber and the epoxy flooring. Three: leakage. On matting, you are less likely to see a leak before it soaks into lots of boxes.
Chrome I don't own a camping Rig of any type but If I did I would order the fan, the hot tap shower, the toilet and many other things from you. I genuinely hope that the Van Toys business hops off the ground for you and becomes so successful that you will need to hire 2 or more Amandas and 2 more mechanics. The they can run the shop and you can travel more!
Hey Chrome I'm actually taking the time waiting on your next video and checking out your first season. Anyway you should put your other channel on here in your other channel section cause I can not find it in the search. By the way your progression from where you started to now is inspirational. Thank you!

That rack system looks amazing!! Going to be nice and easier to access. Cruz is like just let me outside, don’t care about shelves Dad! Joolco toilets?! Nice to know.
I have watched every one of your videos for the least few years. And I gotta say.. I love seeing the progress you’ve made with your vans and RUclips business! It’s so damn inspirational! When I saw this thumbnail i immediately got all giddy and yelled “Let’s goooooo!!” Lol.
Awesome, looks really cool. Glad you waited for the red. It's going to make the shop POP!!!! HUGS to CRUZY BEAR!!!! Those leaf springs are massive. So vantoys doesn't have any content yet?
That would be cool to do BLUE shirts like that! That go with what’s happening to the NEW van💙💙 build now too! It must feel fantastic seeing your vision come true 💯🙌‼️
I haven't read comments so others may have said this--moving that ambo out of the shop and maybe out of your life would free up space and free up the part of your brain obsessing about that albatross--there, I said it! Love you, Chrome--you're one of my favorite youtubers
A heated shipping container on your property may come in handy to store things you order, overstock and whatnot. Also a good place to put things temporarily to clear up all that clutter and then put things back into your shop as you need them and as you get organized. A small scissor lift/skyjack would be good for anyone needs to get smaller things from up high if the fork lift isn’t needed. I noticed the track for the garage door closets to the shelves looks a little close, I could be wrong but it looks a little tight to get up and in there with a pallet on a fork lift. Maybe the clearance is good but from the camera angle it looks like the track for the door may make it a tight fit for the fork lift. Or a cheaper option would be one of those steal staircases on wheels that you see in some isles at like Rona or home depot, home hardware. Ladder may be too sketchy. Everything looks great tho 👍
Agree, but let him do it. He'll learn.
@@barry6484 There is nothing wrong with sharing thoughts and experiences.
He doesn't listen.
Hell I'm sure he knows more than me but I don't understand why he wants to sit on all that product.
@@dpdiver1 We Don't "sit" on the product - it sells, and we order more. Thats the whole idea of a business - sell stuff lol.
You need to put product that is on the floor on pallets. Just incase there is a flood, the product doesn't get wet. Also, just putting the product on pallets makes it easier to put the product on the racks and move with the forklift.
Has he done sales in a store before layout like Walmart, Target, or grocery chain? Probably not. It's new like Christmas to Chrome.
I was thinking the same things. Hope it don’t flood in there
Actually he does get water going in ! @@jacintasmall7737
Awesome setup Chrome! The shop looks great - coming together!
Excellent that it’s a fully Canadian 🇨🇦 company

Love how they clean as they go….Cruisie had an agenda lol

Sweeeeet! They even brought a gift of an always handy, hand truck!!! AND donuts! 🍩 🎉🎉
Love the racking system and that it's Canadian-made!! Great choice, Chrome!! 🇨🇦✌️
10 year old in a candy store! Your enthusiasm is contagious. So happy for you. Your success is bringing joy to all of us.

A battery is less than fifty pounds a healthy person should be able to lift that.
@@InCameraKSome of our batteries are over 75lb :)
@@InCameraKthose are not normal batteries
Chrome, trust me, keep the batteries on the pallets. Seriously.
I agree .just move the shelf up!!!
Def agree with this statement!
That is a SKOOKUM rack system! Suggest keeping pallets on floor. Easier to maneuver w/forklift. Also provides protection from flooding.
11:51 Love the red good pick. 😅 I just painted my kitchen red. Your shop looks excellent. Love Cruzie he could careless just feed me.😂
I love the new shop. Doing great job. Hi crazy 🎉
