The Power Of 2 Stroke . Suzuki Rm 250
Finally, out with a new video. We have spent some time to make this video!
The 250cc 2 stroke, it is the current king of the motocross bike jungle. This single cylinder engine produces half of the bikes weight in horsepower. That delivers over 50% power and it makes it accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds, offroad....
You can not complain, you have to undertand it is performance. You have to respect the capabilities,
and get to know your own.
A 250 is basically a engine with wheels. So if you think you can controll one, you need to be prepared. Because one miscalculation twisted on the throttle, the power can put you over the edge.
And no human, will ever controll the 250cc 2 stroke 100% out.. it is not possible..

You’ll feel the same g force from a 250 due to traction/weight not many bikes can beat a 250 from 0-60 on dirt even the 450 gets left behind

Cian Govern Yeah. That's why I like 4 strokes better, especially the smaller ones for kids, they're quieter. Although, I read in dirt rider magazine in a KX500 vs a KX450F that you couldn't even hear the 500 over the 450's roar. Seems odd, but if they say so. I swear, the YZ85 I just sold was louder than my dad's EXC 400

i have a 2017 RM 250.. made by kawasaki and yamaha, distributed by honda. it's a 6-stroke, a combined power of 2stroke and 4stroke. STOP THE DEBATE.

You're only fast if you mix your gas, 2-stroke all day every day and I wouldn't have it any other way. Ill be riding my bike while you guys spend 2 grand trying to keep your 450's together

I got a rm 80 1999 and it's still really powerful!
I had one same year when I was 14-16 years old and fried the motor then traded it for a mint shotgun. And now I just got a 03 rm 125. It's pretty sweet
My dream is that one day I'll make a banshee video as cool as this 2stroke video!

+2Stroke Smoke in a 2 stroke there is only 2 strokes in the piston induction compression and then fire exhaust on a four strokes have four strokes of the piston suck squeeze bang blow and you have a longer stroke aswell which gives you more torque = more POWER!!!!!!!

it depends on the year and model you can but a older bike for £1k or more or brand new for £7k or more

Hey guys, I need some tips. So, I'm changing from a 49cc 2 stroke (7hp) to a 250cc 2 stroke (65hp). Can you give me some tips for not killing myself. The biggest thing I've ridden is a 500cc 4 stroke, but it was only 20hp. Not that much power
+Bojidar Topchiiski Practice ALOT until you go all crazy cuz 250 are crazy,you give it a little bit too much gas and you are screwed, at the beginning once i bought mine i stayed at 1st and 2nd gear, then slowly started to learn to handle it, but they are really fun once you learn to handle them, good luck and stay safe

Really??? pound for pound and quickness of power and the requirement for feathering the throttle makes the 2-stroke the choice Off road. 2-stroke development was behind 4 -stroke due to EPA considerations that were pushed by Honda so they could give their 4-stroke products an advantage. 2-stroke off road and for Jet ski's and small engines equipment like trimmers and chainsaws. 4-stroke for on road!

You the one all but hurt about a similar size 2 stroke bike being faster. Be a man and learn to ride the faster bike. Girls ride 4 pokes, They're easier to ride. CC for CC 2 stroke is faster, it's a fact. Quit being a know it all when you don't. No one likes a know it all.

A 125 2 stroke can not be compared with a 250 4 stroke.
125cc has around 34hp at the rear wheel. While 250cc has around 40hp at the rear wheel.
A 250 4 stroke also has much more torque. So you can run faster around a track with a 250 4 stroke than a 125 2 stroke.
You will also be able to run faster with a 250 4 stroke than a 250 2 stroke too!
4 stroke riders are lazy... You have to hone your skills to ride a 2 stroke fast. Any goon can jump on a 450 or 250 and become king of the track
Colin Sutton Yes you should have some skills to ride a 2 stroke fast. But no one get that skills..
And 2 strokes only have effect high in level. A 4 stroke have smooth effect all the way.
It is a reason that almost all pro motocross riders ride 450 - 4 strokes!
But we can not compare 2 strokes and 4 strokes. It is taste.

I would love to own both bikes. They are both brilliant designs. Too bad I am not the king of money so I have a 125. No cams, no valves, no problems.

That Tm 85 looks nearly as big as the 250
my last bike was a 08 rm250 but got sick of being hassled by my buds about riding a yellow bike so I got a 2010 yz250... lol nothing against Suzuki's the RM's came a long way good improvements to engine torque before Suzuki ditched the 2 smokes. :( I remember they won a couple MX shootouts in the 2 stroke 250 category back around 06/07 Mine had a FMF Gnarly pipe and sounded sweet as fuck I should of kept it just for fact be a collectors item one day since no longer being made.

4 strokes suck! Be nice if someone made (custom?) a v8/v6 engine for vehicles. No Cam, No Valves,No Timing Chain. All that torque! Smooth running engine. We know enough to get high RPM. Titanium coated parts. Low emissions too. The engine would be simple, sturdy and cheap once one is made, perfected. imagine a v6 4.3 or a 455 v8 in 2 cycle. SICK! Piston Rings changed & slots get moved up. : A bit of work when done. Well worth it too! One can buy or hire a CNC machinist for the lower block & head(s). i wonder about converting a diesel 2 cycle v8 to a gas?

Got a question to anyone who is willing to anwser. I got a 1988 rm 250 that needs a Kickstarter lever and I would like to know if there's any other year of rm that would be interchangable with it.

Hey, i have riden from old czechoslovakian bikes (CZ 175) to yamaha tenere 660, XJ900 and now i have TDM 900.. i want a 2 stoke cross. What do you think ? Is 250 good for me or better start on 125 ? thx for response
If you just want to ride around for fun, some wheelies and enduro and like that, you should get a 250cc :)
If you should ride on the track you should get a 125cc, if you want to ride fast and handle the power :)

What year is your rm 250 ? So your saying it's faster than the Honda 250r or the Yz 250 and kx 250 two strokes ? I'm in the market for one in 3 months .
Scoobies 420 best year for the rm is 04 and up they did an overhaul on the engine and suspension
I have a 2002 model. Power delivery reminds me of the 1987 RM250H.
Obviously you've never owned a cr500 or a worked 450 if you think this has Mind boggling power.

My opinion on 2 and 4 strokes.
2 strokes : Cheaper in every way (To buy {in my country atleast},Repairs, Monthly oil changes, etc you get the point) More powerfull than 4 strokes. Sound worse than 4 strokes
4 strokes : Expensive repairs, Monthly changes,fillers (you get the point), Cost more in general. Less power. Sound better
2 strokes sound better 4 steokes sound like farts
