Many years ago I had a bird make her nest on my side porch in the supporting beam. I always prayed over the tiny eggs and the babies would come out fine. One day I opened the door and saw the eggs were gone and a baby chick on the grass carpeting of the porch. He seemed to be huffing and puffing. I thought he had fallen out of the nest! Turns out the mama was showing him off to me! What a blessing from the Lord!
Cute. My daughter had a bird build her nest on her front door wreath also. Only she never KNEW it until she removed the wreath in the fall. The nest had bird droppings from the babies on it, so she knew there HAD been babies there. And all that time they had been USING the front door, and the bird didn't even mind. We have had this happen to us a few times. Once 1 little baby bird was the last one in the nest, so I talked to it calmly. It finally got the courage to fly the nest. Come to find out the birds mom was watching and when the bird flew she met him. The mother bird came back the next year to build her nest. She knew it was a safe place to have her babies.😊
Same thing happened to us! We talk to the babies when they're leaving, and then the parents just keep coming back. They can tell when people are going to be kind and leave them alone, I think
2 doves came on my balcony under my lavender bush and built a nest, 2 eggs hatched and the two babies learned to fly but came back to my balcony and they aren’t afraid when I feed them. It’s a wonderful feeling I love those little birds.
British robins are unusual in that they love being close to people. Lots of people feed 'their' robins with birdseed in their hands. My robin follows me round the garden while I am weeding. He sits on the fence or nearest bush waiting for some tasty morsel to be dug up!! You are really honoured to have one nest on the door though. Well done for protecting the nest and chicks❤
This the best video I've seen all week. Thank you for looking after mom and her babies. I am going to share this with everyone I know because you bring light, when there has been so much darkness. 😊❤
as a kid a bird made a nest in our balcony. my mom told me to not touch it but as a kid i wanted to help it. i grabbed some grass outside and put them in the nest to help the bird build it well.. and after coming once, seeing the nest's smell changed, the bird didn't return and left eggs there.
yeah... lol. she assumed you were a predator. she figured it would be a lost cause to raise her young there, she had been discovered. you can always make more kids, but if a preadator kills you, then thats it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, I AM WORKING IN DUBAI AND OUR H. H. SHEIKH MOHAMMED SON THERE'S BIRD MAKE NEST ON HIS HUMMER JEEP , SO HE NOT TOUCH AND STOPPED EVERYONE FOR NOBODY DISTURB TILL BABY BIRDS BIG AND FLY AWAY, SAME HAPPENED BEFORE 💕 FNK 💕
Your husband protecting the birds is my favorite part… I mean funniest part… the whole video is my favorite; of course!!! Baby robins’ nest on your front door! Super amazing.
My mom loves to feed rabbits in the yard. She even backs away and postpones her yard work when she happens upon them feeding. She doesn’t want to interrupt them while they’re eating.
Lol, I'd have to force my mother to not move the nest. 😂 She wouldn't care as much as us. But we wouldn't be able to redirect our mail, etc because we live in a row apartment and you'd have to walk all the way around to the backyard and our mail man wouldn't do that.
Don't remove it, she will come back every year. A bird built her nest made of clay by my front door, on a corner. I got so mad when a neighbor came by my house asking me if I wanted him to remove it. I told my neighbor not to, asked him to leave it alone and told him I was honored to have her nest at my property. Love animals, they are so civilized. ❤❤❤
I believe you made friends with a robin there was one outside my work door and some Karen's called the bird police on them to get there nest taken down because they were afraid of a 4 inch bird attacking someone but I was friends with them for weeks and they would stand there ground for there kids but they never meant any harm . I can relate to that , even someone taking my home . So I wish everyone and everything the best luck and love .
@@aymansaad9635 I kindly asked him to leave it alone, I didn't yell at him or nothing like that, but it bothered me he came to my house. I always keep a respectful relationship with my neighbors. We had a nice chat and I think I convinced him that birds need a place to reproduce so they can sing every morning for us.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I love that you let her stay on your front door wreath. In all the videos I’ve ever seen, this is the best shot for babies and watching mama feed them. Thank you so much for sharing this. Absolutely priceless.
Mama Robin chose well, a room with a view and 24/7 room service! Thank you so much for looking after her and her babies, what a wonderful family you have! 💖
The Mother Robin choosing your front door, to build her nest on the floral wreath, tells me how special you both are. You made her and her four chicks happy! Your husband providing extra protection, was a blessing. Please keep us posted on the chicks' development. Much ❤ and Happiness to all of you and the Robin Family! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💐
I did this a couple of years ago too ❤ My mom was dying of cancer and living with me, and she’s always loved birds. She also made the wreath the birds used, and she was able to see them raise 3 babies there before they all flew away. I will always treasure that memory.
I love everything about this video! The star is the robin and her beautiful nest and babies, of course. The supporting actor is the super husband who protected the bird family in hilarious fashion, and the wife who made a safe home for the babies and made the video. BTW the wreath and front door are really pretty. What an awesome experience you shared with us. ❤
I had a bird nest in a hanging planter that was in my screened in patio (I kept the door open 24/7 so my dogs could go out whenever they wanted). She was not afraid of me and would come feed her babies while I was hanging out on the patio. One day I saw one of the babies standing on the side of the nest and I knew what time it was so I put the dogs inside but sat back down outside. I got to watch all 4 of her babies fledge the nest with BOTH parents guiding them to the door and coaxing them as they learned to fly. The whole process took about 2 hours and they didn’t come back again after that. It is still one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced.
I found one in my metal hanging plant watering can. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until it was too late and my neighbors 20 cats scared the mom away and the babies died 😔 I f@%king hate her cats.
Its so cute how we change our way of living to help protect this new mother bird. My mother in law had a hummingbird nest on her string lights in her back yard porch. She lived in dark back there to not disturb the new mommy. Now the hummingbird just hangs out with her back there even tho her babies grew and flew away. It's so precious.
Oh my gosh, we had the same thing happen. It was so much fun to watch. The babies pooped all over the windows, but it was worth it. I wonder why they build the nest on the lights? We didnt turn them on while the nest was there.
It means you have been doing something beautiful for a while. It is sacred, a blessing, especially when the birds hatch and grow. You all have plenty love❤
It means s pain yhe asz for delivery men If you've eveer worked in costumer service. You would know white suburban moms are the worst. Good luck to the husbands
This happened to me a long time ago- maybe like 6 years? And some of the nest stains are STILL on the light outside my front door! This really is a beauty to witness.
A couple of years ago we had two birds make nests in our hibiscus bush. This bush is inches off of the walk way to our front door. We live in a neighborhood where the HOA mows the lawns. So we had to ask the lawn mowers not to mow that section of the grass so as not to frighten the mama birds away from their nests. We also entered the house thru the garage door. It was beautiful to hear the chirps of the babies when we were out side, so sweet.
It really is! Robins made nests right on my bedroom windowsill and seeing the babies grow up is so cool. They made their nest there two years in a row. It was so sad when the last babies flew away and the nest was empty. They were a bit scared when they saw me through the window, but eventually got used to me which was awesome.
@JohnsonHowordWhy are people always so negative? Like did this hurt you in some way? Are people not allowed to find beauty in things? So many fun suckers here. Not even a cool vampire, just someone bitter.
@JohnsonHoword I love this - a bird picked my front porch and treated me as an intruder, so I know what you mean. They might be following ques we don't understand that well.
Robins are the most amazing birds! Always a delight to have one build a nest where you can watch them. Also, they keep the nest area so clean. No poop pile ups around a robins nest.
I'm thrilled #1that u are and were so excited 😊 handled it ABSOLUTELY 💯 PERFECTLY 🥰! I rehab birds. Mostly wild waterfowl but evert spring I have fledglings. There is always a robin or few in that bunch of unfortunate orphans. They are really smart babies & the moms language is quite easy to learn ( the alert calls, come her children calls &so on) They are amazing. All birds are.
I had 2 nests at my front door of my old home, and they would always come by, and nestled in a place where I too, call home. It's a very heartwarming experience to witness birds set up a family life right infront of your eyes.
The bird understood nothing- their mission is to find a suitable place so The generation survives.. period/ there’s no knowing this or that involved- if it looks safe it is to them
Birds don’t feel the same thing as humans. The bird probably needed a place to lay her nest, and got desperate. Lucky the owner don’t mess with the bird, so they decided to stay there.
Well, the bird must have thought that place will not be disturbed & then proceeded to build her nest. In all probability these guys must have been out for quiet sometime before she started building her nest & they must have come in at the right time when the nest was in it's initial stages. However the birds will never come to any place where there is no positive vibe along with it being a no disturbance zone. So you are right in a way.

This has happened to me, it was so cute! It wasn’t on my front door, but very close, on an electrical box on my porch. We got to watch the babies grow up and eventually leave!!
Keep in mind that Robins fledge on the ground when they get too big for the nest. The parents will feed and protect them through this time. Happy birding!!
this is priceless!!! what a kind person you are. we need more people to be this respectful of animals. they make the world better. kudos to you for not moving the nest.
Growing up I was always told having stray cats or dogs having their litters, bee hive or birds making a nest is considered to bring good fortune as it is said the animals feel safe and protected in your property. It indicates you are a kind and good person, and good things happen to good people. We always had cats coming and giving birth at our place. We even had shelters made from storage containers for the the kittens. 15 years on, still have cats come up to give birth. its the most precious thing.
@@crazywolf9715 well atleast it could keep cat population in their area a lot of cats are suffering due to overpopulation and im sure OP made sure the kittens grew up in a safe homes where owners are financially stable to neuter or spay their cats
Just few days back a street which we feed had its litter in front of our house and she's too proud to show kittens to me😂there are nests of sparrow on our front door
Not on my front door, but on my patio. We even got to watch the babies fledge with mom showing them how to fly. Adorable. Of course, we didn't use our patio while all this was going on, but daddy feeding mom while on the nest was so sweet.
We had a tiny tree in front of a window and I think it was a starling who made its nest there and had 3 eggs. When it rained the mom bird would open up her wings as wide as possible and just sit on top of the nest protecting the eggs/babies from the rain. Sometimes it would be hours but that momma would just keep her wings out stretched. It’s really amazing to see other animals raise their babies. It’s not just instinct, there is definitely love there.😊
Robins love mealworms, raisins, sunflower hearts, seeds and fruits. They also love worms and insects. We have seven nests in the eaves of our Orangery, the birds return every year. They re-line the nest and make repairs. They know we won't bother them and can become very tame. It is not uncommon to be enjoying afternoon tea with half a dozen Robins perched on chairs around the table - they love toasted teacakes!
I watched a pair of robins in my backyard one day grabbing worms. I was amazed at how they could peck right down into the grass and pull up worm after worm right out of the dirt like strands of spaghetti.
This is the cutest thing ever. Bless you for going out of your way to let them have peace! Clearly the successful hatching of the eggs is due to your husband's excellent fighting skills
A couple of years ago I went outside to water our hanging basket. A tiny wren, wet and furious, shot out from the inside of the basket and perched on it at eye level and proceeded to harangue me. I was so taken aback I automatically took a step backwards. I moved the geraniums carefully aside and deep inside was a tiny nest with a clutch of eggs. I very gently watered the basket over the next few weeks while a chirping Mrs Wren scolded me as I carefully avoided the nest. She reared her little family until they flew away. We missed them when they left.
We have a pair of house finches that have nested in the hanging basket of geraniums on our front porch two years running. The most important thing to get at the garden store this year was a new hanging geranium for the birds’ nest. 💜🐣 The poor geranium won’t get great care because (as you know) it’s hard to water without drenching the nest. The bird parents hate the mailman and love the sheet we string up like a hammock so the babies don’t hit the concrete porch when they fledge.
@Lothlorien The sheet is a really good idea. We solved the watering problem by gently sqeezing a wet sponge around the nest and using the watering can for the rest of the basket.
It doesn’t mean good luck. But when nature come dangerously close to you it means you have gods energy and grace. Nature tends to feel safe around you. You’ll notice in your life wounded or lost animals will come to you. You are healers weather you like it or not. Both a burden and a blessing. It’s been happening to me for decades
Mother Robin felt safe building her nest on your beautiful wreath. To be able to witness those little hatchlings appear in a nest on your front door is such a precious gift from Mother Robin. This is amazing! ❤
So sweet and your hubby rocked the birdie security patrol! 🤣 We have Carolina Wrens make a nest every year for last 16yrs in my stew watering can or planters on front porch. One year I just happened to peak out the door and saw the baby birds take their first leap/flight! My heart just melted.
Yes! This exact same event did happen on my front door and like you, I took many photos. Was so exciting watching Mother bird fly in to feed Babies. I also had a door wreath very similar to yours. Birds are lovely creatures to watch. ❤
Be sure to remove the nest once the babies leave. Other birds or the same one will keep coming to it, resulting in a bunch of bird crap on your porch. I learned this the hard way

Same thing happened to us! We talk to the babies when they're leaving, and then the parents just keep coming back. They can tell when people are going to be kind and leave them alone, I think
You guys got lucky and rich? Just wondering. 😊
2 doves came on my balcony under my lavender bush and built a nest, 2 eggs hatched and the two babies learned to fly but came back to my balcony and they aren’t afraid when I feed them. It’s a wonderful feeling I love those little birds.
@Bluebirbas they are mourning doves I don’t know how to post a picture…they did built a nest with sticks, they took turns on the nest
@Bluebirbas They must be Democrats!
@@carolermeti6312 same happens to me. Now I have two dove outside and we try our best to leave them alone and not go to the back yard as much
Omay gad😮🎉🎉❤❤
@Bluebirbas That's known as SNARKasm!!
This is utterly adorable - the trust of the Robin to be so close to people.
Thank you for caring.
❤️❤️❤️
British robins are unusual in that they love being close to people. Lots of people feed 'their' robins with birdseed in their hands. My robin follows me round the garden while I am weeding. He sits on the fence or nearest bush waiting for some tasty morsel to be dug up!! You are really honoured to have one nest on the door though. Well done for protecting the nest and chicks❤
You’re the baby birds auntie! 😭🙏💕💕
This the best video I've seen all week. Thank you for looking after mom and her babies. I am going to share this with everyone I know because you bring light, when there has been so much darkness. 😊❤
The best video !!! 😊😊
You are absolutely right !!!
The best husband 😂❤
FR😂
I can tell if she believes in “luck” from a nest
It's the husband's formidable defense moves that made it all possible. ❤
His offense was the best defense.
😂😂😂❤
as a kid a bird made a nest in our balcony. my mom told me to not touch it but as a kid i wanted to help it. i grabbed some grass outside and put them in the nest to help the bird build it well.. and after coming once, seeing the nest's smell changed, the bird didn't return and left eggs there.
….
yeah... lol. she assumed you were a predator. she figured it would be a lost cause to raise her young there, she had been discovered. you can always make more kids, but if a preadator kills you, then thats it.
ur husband is an absolute warrior
Your husband is a hoot! Thanks for the belly laugh and for sharing this sweet story ❤

Your husband protecting the birds is my favorite part… I mean funniest part… the whole video is my favorite; of course!!! Baby robins’ nest on your front door! Super amazing.
I came here to say the same thing!😂
Same!!!! Hilarious af
Aww I love birds. They're such beautiful creatures
when a person is willing to change their life around so that they can protect life it says a lot about them
The other way around is also true, with the ab0shanists.
Well,, we can't take nothing with us when we go but the memories of caring compassion for and looking after is what we can take with us..
👍
So I wish everyone and everything the best luck and love .
sry but that was rude he just wanted to help why did get so mad you could have just said no thanks i wanted there
Might as well brick up that door now, nature has claimed it 🤣
I have some the come every year on my balcony. It's tucked away from elements. Yet perfect for scenery.
That is the father bird
It is the father. Male bird
Mama Robin chose well, a room with a view and 24/7 room service! Thank you so much for looking after her and her babies, what a wonderful family you have! 💖
Ahhhh I loved your Husband’s Karate Chops to protect the birds. So kind of you to make adjustments around the Birds 💕👑🐦🐦🐦🐦 .

It's not a Robin-if it is the dad laid the eggs cos only the males have a red chest??!!
Just wow! That Robin has a great sense of aesthetics and style!
So amazing to watch! You went to such great lengths to protect them. That's wonderful.
You are one lucky woman. The robin sensed the kind heart inside you thats why she chose your door. God bless you ❤
You both are amazing. Thank you for doing that! Many wouldn't.
Oh my GOSH that is the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen. What a blessing
I did this a couple of years ago too ❤
My mom was dying of cancer and living with me, and she’s always loved birds.
That's a blessing from mother nature. To think that they see your home as safe and secure enough to have their babies, it's so sweet.
@Johnson Howard you're a little ray of sunshine, aren't you? 😂
Exactly!!!
❤❤❤❤
Lol
@@elijahkaehler9369What could possibly be funny about this wholesome comment
I had a bird who started visiting my hanging plants every year, and I was the one who chased the crows away. 😊
I found one in my metal hanging plant watering can. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until it was too late and my neighbors 20 cats scared the mom away and the babies died 😔 I f@%king hate her cats.
Thank you for protecting these innocent birds! There are creeps that would not do this.
You guys are real heroes. You closed your front door just for the Robin's nest.
God Bless you ❤🙏🏻

So wunderschön und besonders, ich liebe es, wenn Menschen Tiere so wertschätzen. Was für eine kluge Lösung.
Cool
what is the HOA
Nice the usually hostile HOA didn't just trash the nest .

The greatest complement a bird can give you is to raise a family near you... and to return next year
It really is!
Her husband was everything 😂

Everything ! Lmao

Aww. Thank you for not disturbing thr nest and protecting them! ❤
I had 2 nests at my front door of my old home, and they would always come by, and nestled in a place where I too, call home. It's a very heartwarming experience to witness birds set up a family life right infront of your eyes.
😅
I had this happen last year on my Spring wreath too. 4 blue eggs turned into baby birds weeks later and flew off!
She felt it was a beautiful location to raise her babies, what a blessing to see every day.

This is amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing this video of the momma Robin and her little babies! God bless you and your husband!❤️❤️
The bird probably understood, that you're a kind person. She trusted you with her life. ❤
The bird understood nothing- their mission is to find a suitable place so
The generation survives.. period/ there’s no knowing this or that involved- if it looks safe it is to them
Birds don’t feel the same thing as humans.

The best thing would be is for you to take the initiative and respect them too. These types of comments are distasteful
Omg. This is so sweet. You are so lucky.❤❤❤
I hope your doing that catch and fix and release on stray cats some vets will give discounts during the summers or spring..
@@gaylenewood7707 that would be quite costly tbh

That is so cute. May be a true blessing. 🩷
Yummy

I’m sure all the crows were scared, cuz your husband had some crazy moves.. but that is special you got to witness those birdies!! 😊
@@LothlorienOH amazing 🤩
@Lothlorien The sheet is a really good idea. We solved the watering problem by gently sqeezing a wet sponge around the nest and using the watering can for the rest of the basket.
😂❤😂😊
It doesn’t mean good luck. But when nature come dangerously close to you it means you have gods energy and grace. Nature tends to feel safe around you. You’ll notice in your life wounded or lost animals will come to you. You are healers weather you like it or not. Both a burden and a blessing. It’s been happening to me for decades
