City buses in Guwahati are one of the most preferred public transport services. Be it commuting to work, school or any other place, Guwahatians often prefer the local bus service plying to and from every corner of the city. However, the business of the city bus services took a major blow after the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that followed. Amid possibilities of a third wave, the bus services are gradually limping back to normal. With thousands of people boarding the buses, several other concerns like increased fare, long waiting times, unregulated stoppages, and others came to the fore.
