I can assure you guys that the sudden rise in pkayer counts are real people.Because most of my matches recently have been consisted of f2ps who are trying to figure out what they're doing.

thats probably right as i have never played tf2 before (i thought of playing but i didnt because i was told that its unplayable because of the bots) but now that tthe problem is fixed people like me start playing the game

To give you an idea of just how many people are playing TF2 right now, I successfully queued for a game of DOOMSDAY.
AND IT DIDNT EVEN TAKE 5 MINUTES

I bery much hope that the downside _was_ the bot crisis, and the upside is yet to come.
@@MsMacintosh I think the upside will be a new better VAC and a new update after Valve's new multiplayer shooter drops, since they're probably gonna do a collab project for new stuff and also port the Anti Cheat to Valve's other games too
Might've also been the reason for the 64bit update, so that the anticheat can work

casual is still fundamentally flawed on so many different levels. I'm doubtful valve will actually correct their mistake, 8 years later.

Still hard to believe that this actually happened, I wake up every day thinking "oh, valve fixing tf2 was just a good dream" but it never is, and it is hard to believe, even now, that this is actually happening.
I have to reinstall TF2 at the earliest time I can, I currently have no Wi-Fi and have to travel to a nearby library for anything better than a phone hotspot

That play 3 mins in was genius! 😂 always loved doing that. Honestly the best part of playing Spy: coming up with a plan on the fly, capping the objective all by yourself and winning the game single handedly 'cos the enemy team just didn't account for you.
If you're a good spy you can single handedly win the game for your team... ... ... and nobody on your team will ever know.
Nobody saw you do it. Nobody on your team will ever know what you did, that you alone where able to break the stalemate and win the game for them.
And that's ok. That's part of the charm. That's the real life experience of real IRL spies and spec ops operatives throughout history. Your work is always clandestine, in the shadows, an ever covered secret. The world will never know what you did to save the day. But that's ok. Because you do. You will always have that secret. You can always sit back, sip wine and smile as everyone else congratulates themselves on a job well done. Glory and fame would just get in your way. Would make your hob harder because everyone would know your name.
That's the beauty of Spy. It's why I appreciate your vids Jonto. We do get yo see the work of good TF2 spies in action 🙂
Many times I have cheekily backcapped the final point on 5CP because the enemy left it unguarded for a few seconds.

Anyway. I’m new to tf2 and joined a week ago. I’m a spy main and your tutorials really help. If somebody else had a similar comment then that’s probably me also, I have 2 accounts. Lucky I joined after the bot ban or else I probably wouldn’t have even tried to play tf2.

I recommend something like soldier because he's pretty beginner friendly

My favorite thing to do as spy is get 2-3 kills then stop playing spy so the enemy team is still checking their backs unnecessarily for the rest of the match.

11:08 so my rule is when it comes to there being too many spies (as a spy secondary), i go as pyro. I play what i think is called “mama bear pyro” so i will always stick behind some of my team and start rushing around with the flamethrower to attempt to save them (you’ll constantly hear me going “DONT WORRY KIDDO MAMAS COMIN” 😭)
the moment I heard about the bot ban wave I immediately launched the game and played through many hours of fun I just love this game so much

Side note to the video, but if you wanna cap as spy all sneaky-like like that, disguise as a friendly so that you're immune to most knockback, you'll have a better chance to survive just long enough to cap like that

I won't say that Valve finally getting all the bots is the main reason I reinstalled and played again in the last week, but it certainly helped to know my curiosity to come back was much safer this time around. Last time I played was 2015 apparently lmao, and it's cool to see just how well TF2 still holds up after so long.
2:57 use an undisguise bind! i use mouse 3 :3 really helps when uncloaking to spycap really fast but you are disguised already! it also means you can press your lastdisguise bind and your undisguise bind really fast to be a smoky man! (useful against friendlies to mystify them)
