I'm sure you clarified it in the original stream, but how does the computer's gameplay work? You said you set it to try and make some distance for longjumps, so I assume it's not JUST random buttons. Did you program a few different moves (Longjumps, sidehops, backflips, etc) and set *those* to be randomly selected?
Yeah, so I wrote code in Python that opens a tkinter window. That window displays the time remaining number, in every second it updates and subtracts from that number. I'm currently out of town so I can't look at the code specifically to remind myself of how it works exactly. BUT. Once it hits zero, it sets itself to my message that says that the computer is taking over, and then it starts hitting a bunch of random buttons. But I have it set that when it hits WAS or d, it then rolls like a 1 in 50 chance, one in 100 chance, and like a 1 in 150 chance of doing a long jump, of doing a backflip, and doing a jump dive. And that just made the movement a lot more interesting and a lot more difficult to actually fight as I played, so I gave it specific controls to do that. Those were all I did, making it do like side hops or other combos probably would have been cooler, but I feel the random inputs did enough to really throw me off anyway.
I appreciate that! The video by now, has definitely grown a bit and it's a little scary now!😂 I'mma handle it like a champ and try to keep putting out more content as best I can!
I've enjoyed making these videos, but I think I've let my inspirations take a LITTLE much of a hold over my current content. I'm not a huge fan of that because I know I'm not DougDoug! And the ideas are certainly limited. My next video will most likely NOT be in the same scope as these two were. I'm definitely still finding my ground and what I enjoy doing. But yes. DougDoug was DEFINITELY inspirational to me starting this stuff up. I enjoy this kind of content, but I'm not really sure where to go from here.
You forgot the other 2 bowsers
