I'm British...and the Reds always give me goosebumps. But I think the crowd really add to this video. If there's one thing US citizens do well, that's cheer and enjoy themselves...Fantastic!!
Makes me proud to be British this. And not many things make me feel like that these days. Good old RAF. Good old Red Arrows. Well done chaps. Hope our American friends enjoyed all the displays they made.
DarkLight753 I may have the chance to see the Red Arrows for the first time ever this year as they’re coming to the US for a few airshows. I’m very excited to see the best of what Britain has to offer
The RAF pilots just make it look so easy....... No matter were they fly at airshows... you cannot deny their skill and passion for flight. Brilliant... a marvel of flight and engineering. I hope it was appreciated in New York. looking forward to the 2014 airshows. Bring it on Red Arrows!!!!
Ron Patterson nah.... it’s just like synchronised swimming. In fast jets. With fraction of a second timing. With no computer help. And every second you’re an instant away from death. So, not like synchronised swimming in any way, shape or form..... probably one of the most dangerous and challenging occupations on the planet
still my favourite youtube vid, it wouldnt be the same without the crowd, i watch this when i need an uplift. kudos to all the new yorkers here. i hope they enjoyed it. judging by the reaction, i think they did.
David. I have been fortunate to work alongside the Reds. They work hard to achieve this standard of flying. I have watched them practising on cold Autumnal mornings. Hardly any daylight. Very few onlookers. "Per Ardua Ad Astra"
+GreyFox985 all red arrows pilots were originally RAF pilots and it just goes to show that the RAF have better pilots than the USAF but the reason why the USAF are considered more powerful is because it is much bigger
+josh wilson well, there no doubt that the requires for the RAF are far higher than the USAF, just like much of the British Armed forces. Quality over quantity.

I dont see why a lot of people seem to feel the need to argue. I get that you're patriotic, or whatever, but just leave it. All flying display teams, from whatever country, are extremely impressive to watch, so just look on amazed, and admire the skill of the pilots flying the aircraft.
Really good camera work, I mean professionally good. The Red Arrows never disappoint. Rate them where you want in the league, there are many great display teams, but seeing the Arrows escorting Concorde in 2012 was a thing of beauty.
ive seen air display teams from all over the world but I can say without doubt, the red arrows really are the best of the best... truly stunning display
These guys show skills and trust in their team mates that is simply breathtaking to watch. Jesus! Why are so many here arguing who is the best? I am just fucking relieved that British and American pilots go to war side by side and together they dominate the air! Ask any American pilot who from another country they want flying beside them... they will say the British. Ask any British pilot who from another country they want flying beside them... they will say the Americans. Ask any Russian who they don't want to fight against... they will say those two countries. That was true in October 2016. Now you can fuck right off you bunch of unhinged fucking fascists. Take your child clown and stick him on a burning pole and you will NEVER live down that shame. What a fucking joke nation. The DPRK looks like a stable democracy next you and your pathetic train fire.
Grew up watching this in the UK. It's truly wonderful to hear the US audiences appreciation, and makes me look again at something as a Brit I'm used to seeing and think; yeah that's pretty friggin' cool! Very proud or our guys and loving to hear and read the appreciation from our US friends.
Anybody prepared to go up in a plane and do that shit deserves kudos, no matter what country they're from. Saying that, the Red Arrows will always hold my heart.
i live in lincs UK and often see these guys practising. never get bored of them. was watching them in the distance a few weeks ago with my daughter while we were feeding our horses. they were out for about 30 mins then they circled round and came really low and directly above my horses field. it was amazing. my daughter was in awe of them. id like to think they saw us watching so gave us our own fly by but i think it was just coincidence lol
I spent 3 yrs. at RAF Holbeach bombing range (68-71). When the Vietnam war was going on - pilots from R A F Lakenheath (USAF - 48th Sqn) used to "flybies" at 25 ft. AGL in their F 100"s. on our "wooden tower" (Capt Dave Jenny). Those were the days!!! ☢☢

Earlier, during their ferry flight across the Atlantic: "Jeez, it's been hours...can you imagine working for British Airways and doing this all day?" "God, that would suck...I'd bail out."
We saw the Red Arrows down at Langley. Awesome show. And like someone mentioned, they do the show in bad weather. They were constantly turning and level flight was rare. Awesome. Later we got to meet some of the team, we talked with Mike Ling for an hour, awesome guy and we really enjoyied talking shop with him. Ive seen a few of the teams aside from the Blues and the T-Birds and these guys were awesome. Blues are still my favorite but the Red Arrows fly an different style and do an awesome job!
Just goes to show that you don't need a hi tech aircraft in a display team. Ok, the Red's have used the Hawk TMk 1 since 1980, but it goes to show how popular the aircraft is. The pilots love it, and the crowd love it. PS, went inside their base the other day, watched them practise twice, and got waves from the 9 pilots. Vid can be found on my channel.
This a brave attempt from the fabulous Red Arrows I've met some of these chaps trhough my husband's job. Congratulations....by the way I am not English but this makes me feel proud of having had my children with an English chap...
Great footage and would be worthy of being used for the Reds video debrief which they do after every display. I think the diamond at 3:15 looks a little on the loose side. I've seen them perform alot tigher than that before. They are by far the best display team on the airshow circuit. They make the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds look mundain.
