Really good series of videos which every detailer should watch. A couple of people have mentioned about rinseless washes and I will too - they are rinseless, not waterless and the way John describes how he uses them is the way I do too. I would say that their versatility doesn't end there. Kelly mentions using soap in the rinse bucket - a drip of rinseless wash is even more effective! It also pulls any dirt or sediment out of the solution and to the bottom much quicker and is more lubricated than soap so on maintenance washes is a safer option for that purpose.
Using it in the initial panel wipe off, especially on very soft paints is also magic.

I just spray on fallout remover and agitate it with a wash mitt following the contact wash. This method only uses a few sprays per panel but id advise to get a more foamy fallout remover so that you can work it around easier

I've used ONR for 20 years and 2021 was my first year without soaps. It's best to soak the car with ONR, wait a short time then rinse it with low pressure or high from a distance, reapply it then wash the whole car then dry or as I go. Using many mitts or towels. A car that is covered in mud is where snow foam is quite useful as it is for arches and wheels but that's it IMHO. ONR encapsulates and emulsifies, soap only emulsifies and is a poor surface lubricant in comparison. Also soap leaves a film behind that reduces surface clarity. If using one mitt or many with soap or ONR, high pressure rinse the mitt clean after each panel or two or use several mitts which is faster and easier. Don't have a rinse bucket or even a wash bucket with soap washing, use a pump pack or foamer with a higher concentration of shampoo, it saves your back and works better. Kelly is spot on about the gaps, their the worst and if they and the glass aren't 100% clean, the car won't look detailed. I swear the industry hasn't gone past two bucket washing because buckets are a high profit item despite the existance of more ergonomic, more efficient and safer ways to wash without them

What a great learning experience watching this video. Never really thought about edges the way Kelly describes here, but after watching, will never forget to do a thorough job on all the edges again! Can't wait for the new CarPro Descale shampoo which is an acidic shampoo which is supposed to revive coatings by loosening and washing away some of the contamination caused by limescale buildup and other impurities released by an acidic shampoo. Reset and Descale will be the "one-two punch" so to speak of decontamination washes.

Very intuitive video man, well done, looking forward to the next in the series. A lot of things make sense, but I'm one for trying to prove the theories, the shampoo in the rinse bucket is an odd one, as the sudds somewhat contain the dirt in some ways, surely when rinsing, you should be using clean as possible water?
Jet nozzle on a foam lance, absolutely makes sense now! Like you, I never knew why it was on it!!
No rinse, although only used it once to wash a car for a show, is not designed as a "waterless" wash, but instead a "rinsless" wash, again used same techniques in spraying the car, then using about 6 cheap noodles to wash it then.
Great vid, looking forward to the next ones 👊

Learnt a trick there about the adjustable foam jet into the nooks and crannies.... and into the arches...
waterless washes........... not for me......... its not washing or cleaning to me
doing the edges with the mit/pad... seems so blindingly obvious but why have i not thought of that?
i do like Kelly, he talks a lot of sense, and makes you question things and say WHY?,
that little trick about a dash of shampoo in the rinse bucket.... genius and makes you ask, why didnt i think of that?
