The screen replacement is available till the end of September, so you can still get it. It doesn't matter which colour line. August update is the last update even my phone got, no problems till now.

Warranty is calculated from the date on the invoice. Line issue is happening since the May update. Haven't seen anyone report a problem after the August update.
White line issue on left side screen of S21 FE bought on 19.02.2022. This line came up on 20.08.2024. Sent a report to samsung member app where I was asked to take backup and try reset, but the line was still there. So on 21.08.24 I went to service centre where the lady noted all the details and asked me to check back in a day or 2 whether there will be a FOC screen replacement or not (phone is with them without any physical/water damage) .. now what if they frame something like oh there was some damage? the entire body of the phone was brand new without a single scratch or chipping.
@@positronic2910 Always take photos and videos of the phone before and after updates. In this case also! They shouldn't keep your phone, they can raise a complaint and call you when the part is available.

@@ruchiisthebest you'll need substantial proof to claim it's a software issue. I know the software is to blame but they don't believe it if there's no proof. I went to them with videos of my phone before and after the update with the date visible.

@@pranavnikhade5834 I would buy the S23. Not sure about the version ie FE or standard. Samsung has 25 watt charging which works well in my experience with the S21FE. It makes sure the battery is not over heating and it's been around for a while, no battery puffing issues reported in the last 3 years. So it's a safe bet. However check on the screen like issue, not sure how the S23 is effected by it.

Yes! Avoid the SD888 and Exynos 2100 chips. Since you like One UI, I would suggest looking at the S23 - S23FE. They have processors that have solved most of the heating problems of the SD889 and Exynos 2100. Check for the green line issue with any samsung you buy.

Not really! They're offering a screen replacement for phones that got the line after the software update. And this is even for older phones that might be out of warranty. Check the link in description for more information.

You can try! But I don't think they'll fix the screen for free. It's also a older device and they might deny that it's happening because of the software update.

Bro i went to samsung service center they are saying that they will send the phone to company then the company will do 2 tests water and some other. if they got negative result they will replace the screen for free if they got positive they won't replace. And this whole process take 20 days time period. After i got my phone it will be completly screen dead. Then i have to pay 20500/-. Iam not understanding if they are playing any dramas...my phone was only 1 and 1/2 year old and having my invoice.
It doesn't take so much time! The water and physical damage test can be done in person within 1hr. If they say they're changing a part Id suggest you ask them to order it and get it replaced in person.

@@Sagar-ne6yj If it's under warranty you don't need to worry as long as there's no physical or water damage. When you're closer to a out of warranty situation, that's when you can delay updating.

I would recommend getting it done with the official service centre. You'll end up spending more if you get it done outside as you won't get the free screen replacement.

If there's no physical and water damage they will replace the screen for free. Only labour cost will be applied. Check the link in description.
Hello sir, im using legendary GALAXY S7 from 2018 june 19th, replaced its battery and display in jan 2020 (due to display damage occured while playing cricket). Its on oreo 8.0 and still running smoothly no issues. Im noticing this green line pattern in new devices from the introduction 120hz refresh rates in amoled displays (rarely in ultra curved displays of S7 EDGE, S8+,S9+) 99.99 percent due to hardware damage. Its like if u ever own or thinking of buyin the devices launched after 2020, its prone to get green line once in 3 yrs (majorly via software update), but it never happens within 1 yr of new device. It happens once ur warranty gets over. . Do companies want us to change our old smartphones after 1 yr or 2 yr ? There should be a criminal law for big companies willingly killing smartphone displays via update. They are doing it on a purpose.. . In one hand they promise 7-8 year ( probably till 2030) update cycle on S24 ultra.. god knows how many green line updates it will face in its lifetime till 2030. I can predict though 😅 ▶️1st green line via update :: 2025 oct (before launch of s26 series) ▶️2nd :: 2027 jan (after S28 series launch) ▶️3rd :: 2028 jan (after S29 series launch) ▶️4th :: 2030 ( along with its last android update) . They should be held accountable through new set of laws😢
I bought my s21fe from cashify and after 6 months of use a line appear I visited service centre they refused because of dents then I complaint samsung and I talked to senior executive of samsung they agree for further process but they ask original bill and I don't have because it's 2nd hand than they said, we cannot help you as you are 2nd owner of smartphone and 2nd hand phone. Hi bro, I got the green line on my S21 FE Exynos version. When I went to service centre they told my phone's LDI was red. I had always used my phone with cover and never left my phone near water. They don't want to replace the screen for free, any suggestions?😢
@@butimjeremy LDI is an indicator placed below the sim tray that detects whether the device was exposed to water. If it turns red it means yes it was not then it will be white.

Yeah bro. Just give it to the authorized service center. The company will take around 1 week to approve(that your device is eligible to get free replacement i.e., no physical damage) then you will get it done for free, you have to pay labour charges around 500rs. If not you will have to pay the intended amount approx 18k

@@chaitanyadesai8808 Ask the service centre to raise a complaint - they do this by taking pictures of the phone. Then call customer care and tell them that the complaint has been raised. If the part is not available then wait - don't keep the phone with them. It takes maximum 2hrs to fix.

How did they reach the conclusion of physical damage? Was there any mark on your phone?

Yes the invoice is required and the phone needs to be purchased in India. They verify the invoice with any basic ID.

Just an hour ago, the same thing happened on my screen as well. A thin green line appeared on my screen while scrolling through youtube and it got brighter and brighter just in few seconds.
I contacted customer service and they told me to replace my screen which will cost me 12k, it's been 2 years since I bought this phone, so it's out of warranty period.😢

Yes! Avoid the SD888 and Exynos 2100 chips. Since you like One UI, I would suggest looking at the S23 - S23FE. They have processors that have solved most of the heating problems of the SD889 and Exynos 2100. Check for the green line issue with any samsung you buy.

Not really! They're offering a screen replacement for phones that got the line after the software update. And this is even for older phones that might be out of warranty. Check the link in description for more information.

Ask them to get the part and you will get the phone when the part is available for change. It takes 2hrs max to fix.

You can try! But I don't think they'll fix the screen for free. It's also a older device and they might deny that it's happening because of the software update.

Bro i went to samsung service center they are saying that they will send the phone to company then the company will do 2 tests water and some other. if they got negative result they will replace the screen for free if they got positive they won't replace. And this whole process take 20 days time period. After i got my phone it will be completly screen dead. Then i have to pay 20500/-. Iam not understanding if they are playing any dramas...my phone was only 1 and 1/2 year old and having my invoice.
It doesn't take so much time! The water and physical damage test can be done in person within 1hr. If they say they're changing a part Id suggest you ask them to order it and get it replaced in person.

I would recommend getting it done with the official service centre. You'll end up spending more if you get it done outside as you won't get the free screen replacement.

Hello sir, im using legendary GALAXY S7 from 2018 june 19th, replaced its battery and display in jan 2020 (due to display damage occured while playing cricket).
Its on oreo 8.0 and still running smoothly no issues.
Im noticing this green line pattern in new devices from the introduction 120hz refresh rates in amoled displays (rarely in ultra curved displays of S7 EDGE, S8+,S9+) 99.99 percent due to hardware damage.
Its like if u ever own or thinking of buyin the devices launched after 2020, its prone to get green line once in 3 yrs (majorly via software update), but it never happens within 1 yr of new device. It happens once ur warranty gets over.

I bought my s21fe from cashify and after 6 months of use a line appear I visited service centre they refused because of dents then I complaint samsung and I talked to senior executive of samsung they agree for further process but they ask original bill and I don't have because it's 2nd hand than they said, we cannot help you as you are 2nd owner of smartphone and 2nd hand phone. I'm still using, now 7 lines appeared on screen. Please help me😢🙏
Yeah for some reason the don't apply the policy on second hand phones, this happened to a friend of mine. You'll have to pay full price.

Hi bro, I got the green line on my S21 FE Exynos version. When I went to service centre they told my phone's LDI was red. I had always used my phone with cover and never left my phone near water. They don't want to replace the screen for free, any suggestions?😢
I don't know what the LDI is. Speak to a customer service person and raise a complaint. If there's no physical damage there should be no issue.
@@butimjeremy LDI is an indicator placed below the sim tray that detects whether the device was exposed to water. If it turns red it means yes it was not then it will be white.

Yeah bro. Just give it to the authorized service center. The company will take around 1 week to approve(that your device is eligible to get free replacement i.e., no physical damage) then you will get it done for free, you have to pay labour charges around 500rs. If not you will have to pay the intended amount approx 18k

@@butimjeremyI went to 2 service centre, 1st said your device don't have any damage but we are not offering screen replacement for FE series. 2nd said leave mobile for 4 days we will raise issue and if approved then we will replace the screen, I called customer care they replied if it is not damaged then we will replace the screen and if if service person is not allowing to replace then get him on call.please guide me what to do.
@@chaitanyadesai8808 Ask the service centre to raise a complaint - they do this by taking pictures of the phone. Then call customer care and tell them that the complaint has been raised. If the part is not available then wait - don't keep the phone with them. It takes maximum 2hrs to fix.
