Pepperidge Farm CORNBREAD STUFFING CLASSIC STUFFING
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
1 (12-ounce) package Pepperidge Farm Cornbread Stuffing Mix
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1 cup onion, finely chopped
1 cup celery, finely chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1. In a 4-quart sauce pan, over medium-heat, add butter. Add onions and celery. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until onions are translucent. Continuing to stir. Add chicken broth. Turn off heat. Add Pepperidge Farm CORNBREAD STUFFING mix. Stir until well blend and bread crumbles have absorbed liquid.
2. Spoon into prepared baking dish. Cover. Bake for 35 minutes. Remove cover and serve.
TIPS: To make the day before...cover stuffing (without baking) and refrigerate overnight. Bake an additional 10 minutes. Serve.

Great straightforward instructions! Can it be prepared as a shortcut like Stovetop?
For example, if I just boiled 2 cups of water, tossed in 2 chicken bouillon cubes, bring it to a boil, then added the stuffing would it still taste decent?
