Is doing bike deliveries worthwhile in Denver, or are you just working during a bad time? I'm on Uber, DD, and Grubhuhb here in NYC and was thinking of moving to Denver this summer.
@@macro16 so last summer I did Uber and I made $25 - $30 an hour without a problem. The rates on Uber are higher and I feel like people tip better on there haha. I think the background checks are stuck for people here in Denver because I’m seeing $10+ bonuses during peak hours for each delivery - I’m assuming there are hardly any drivers.
I need to give DoorDash more time during better hours to truly know if it’s got a better payout than what I show here.

Uber offered it as a deal through a 3rd party! They don’t offer it anymore which is a bummer because everyone loves it but search “insulated delivery bag” online and you will find some like it! Good Luck!

Where did you got backpack for delivery? I like your backpack cool design plus put on wear it during ride bicycle with delivery.

I agree it looks awesome! But anything like this changed the game for me on the bike! Keeps things organized and helps hold the temperature.

I have a bike and have been considering this too, been riding Denver for 15 years, have you tried it again at better times? I feel like you’d be more nimble. with car deliveries you have to find parking, go around the block to get turned around etc… whereas on bike you could be lightning downtown. Opinions?
Yes! I’ve had times, especially with Uber where I made a lot more money! Especially at the start of the pandemic where there were no cars on the road and I was cruising. Even now while there is more activity I really like it because parking can be so difficult like you mentioned.
I prefer this, but I think because I feel like I’m getting paid to workout. Sometimes it’s hard to sustain simply because of your energy level and the weather, but it feels really good to get paid doing something so active in my opinion. Money wise, I think it’s the same and the apps know it can at times take you longer on a bike even though sometimes it’s quicker because you avoid the parking issues. A lot of pros and cons but I would get on the bike and go this route until you can’t!
When you worked for Uber eats did they give you that bag or did you have to buy it? Did DoorDash provide a similar bag, where it was more or like a backpack for those who bike instead of drive for orders?
I purchased the bag! I got like a notification one day that they were offering them at discount and I hopped on it!
Door Dash sent me like a little red shopping bag type thing - which is why I always roll with what you see here!

Probably! I think the nice thing about my account is it TELLS people I’m coming via bike, so maybe they are more forgiving on my time OR a little more generous on a tip for my physical efforts! Haha! 💪
Some of these apps allow you to have more than one “vehicle” I think? Could look in to that!
