Version 5.3 will be one of the best updates we’ve seen in a while, and there are several reasons for that. In 5.3, we’ll be getting new skins, one of which might be for Zhongli himself. Plus, one skin and one character will be given for free. But that’s not all! It’s said that we’ll also get the Liyue Chronicled Wish and Mavuika’s release in this version. So, in this video, let’s take a closer look at 5.3, talk about free rewards, banners, and much more.
Lantern Rite is one of the biggest events in Genshin Impact, and this time it’s happening in version 5.3 instead of the usual x.4. Interestingly, this mirrors how the Anniversary event was moved to x.0 this year instead of the usual x.1. It seems like miHoYo is adjusting their event schedule, but Lantern Rite will still be one of the most exciting and rewarding events of the year.
Now, let’s talk about the new skins! In the previous Lantern Rite, we got three new skins-two for limited characters, Ganyu and Shenhe (which were paid), and one free skin for Xingqiu. There’s a good chance we’ll see something similar this time around. According to sources like Vississ and Plusle TL, there are skins in the works for Zhongli, chichi, and Chongyun.
Since Zhongli is getting a rerun in the second phase of version 5.2, this makes a lot of sense, and it could mean that his skin will be released during 5.3. If this follows the previous pattern, we could see two skins for 5-stars , likely for Zhongli and chichi as paid, while Chongyun’s skin might be the free.
As always with Lantern Rite, we’ll be getting a free 4-star Liyue character. While there’s no official or insider info yet on whether there’s a new Liyue 4-star character, it’s safe to assume that we’ll have the option to choose from the existing Liyue roster like in previous Lantern Rites. This is a great chance to pick up any constellations you might have missed.
Finally, let’s talk about the Mavuika banner. We know that Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, will be released at the end of the Natlan Archon Quest, which is set to wrap up in version 5.3, but she’s not the only one. There’s also a lot of speculation about Citlali, another 5-star character, potentially being introduced in this patch. However, as of now, we don’t have solid information on new 4-star characters.

I've never heard of an archon get their first skin ever?
If someone Doesn't have Zhong-li by now..I honestly feel a bit sorry for them..Something I think would be a nice thing to do from the Leviathans, RUclipsrs, and Whales is get 1 copy of Zhong-li too any new players or viewers in need of "Geo Grandpa" who don't have him kinda like a "Welcome to Genshin" situation? Probably could even be made into a RL Lantern Wright event with cosplay,actual lanterns etc. Maybe even have the VA For Zhong-li give a speech while cosplaying his character. Turn it into an over the top fun event for everyone.Xiang-ling, Shenhe cosplayers could even serve food to guests.

Im excited for lantern rite in general, i started playing when Emilie and Yelan had their banners up so i havent played lantern rite before but ive seen cutscenes and playthroughs, so im really excited to experience it myself!! Not to mention im dying to get Gaming, hes one of my favorite characters so if hes given for free i would be really happy :')

They are literally setting it up like surely they have to. Citlali is a Cryo unit, the abyss’s have been ones where mono-Cryo would be good, shenhe is a sub Cryo dps who buffs Cryo and now potentially chongyun skin when they are connected?

I don't think Genshin will release three brand new characters, one of which is an archon's first banner, on top of Liyue chronicled wish. Because both Madame Ping and Mavuika are such highly awaited characters, Citlali wouldn't stand a chance. I expect her situation will be similar to Chlorinde's; since in 5.2 we are expected to explore the Flower-feather clan and Dragonspine, 5.3 will be Liyue and the abyss, 5.4 might be when we get introduced the the Masters of the Nightwind.
But it would fit the current trend of cryo getting thrown under the bus lol.
Citlali will come home, 50 wishes saved so far, now I can only hope my self control keeps up the good work

Shenhe is not eligible for Chronicled Wish. She's only had 2 banners as of now. To be featured in chronicled wish a character needs to have appeared in at least 3 banners

I think Liyue chronicled wish will contain these characters : Xiao , Keqing , Qiqi , Childe , Ganyu , Baizhu (Yelan and Hu Tao maybe but they are or have just reran (Hu Tao in 5.1 P2 and Yelan in 4.8 P2)

Do you remember the quest with Guizhong's Bell? Madame Ping told us how lonely she was after guizhoings death and that she had grown tired of life.
That's why I highly doubt that she will ever be playable.
