These things are so subjective...I never use the scissors on any of my multi tools but I use the bottle opener all the time! (Burp!)

I agree. Use the bottle opener multiple times, every day, never need scissors,...never ever.

I have a black one with a rescue blade instead of a carbine. my favorite edc!

joão pelissari, honestly the rescue cutter changes the game a little in my mind and makes this multitool much better without the gimmicky bottle opener/carabiner. Thanks for the feedback!

@@tactipants3036 I totally agree with you. Both the rescue blade and a bottle opener are useless to me too! I would much prefer scissors or a larger Philips wrench ✌

Thanks man never even knew half the stuff in this video and I’ve had mine for a while. I never knew about these things because it was really stiff to open the pliers so I was afraid of damaging it. Thanks!!

I’ve had nearly EVERY Leatherman-mostly giving them away to family members or friends when they no longer match my habits. The ones I have left:
    Leatherman kick
    Bear claw sportsman
    Gerber crucial
    Minimalist me
Some that I regret giving away:
    The surge
    The supertool 300

I had one but I lost it a couple years ago when I moved but I swear I brought it with me. I might buy another one though.

My initial reactions after two days of ownership are that the tool is heavier than expected; pliers are very stiff to open, even after lubrication; locking, thick, one handed opening and locking blade works well; locking screwdrivers work well but shanks are too short; and the upside down carabiner is weird but acts as part of the frame when using the other tools. Belt clip works well. All in all not bad for a cheap multitool.

For me the bottle opener is a lot more useful then scissors would be. This would be the perfect multi-tool IMO if one could get it in black but keep the bottle opener as opposed to the seatbelt cutter that the black version uses.

I had three of the Gerber Crucial. The first one went back to the store where I purchsed it after one week due to the liner lock jamming the blade open and even using pliers to depress the lock, we were unable to get the blade closed. So, as a saftey hazard, it was exchanged for another one. About a week after that, the second one had the same issue. This time the store would neither exchange, nor refund it because every one they sold had been returned for the same reason.
So, I contacted Gerber and sent them the multitool. They sent me a new Crucial. This one went in the trash. Here's why: They had tightened the bolts so snug that we were only able to open and close the pliers by using a set of vise-grips on each handle. The nut/bolt stripped each wrench used to try to loosen it. We lubricated the mechanism and forced the pliers open and closed one hundred times in an effort to wear it down enough to make opening and closing the tool easier. That didn't work. So, finally we tossed it in the trash.

If gerber does one thing right, it’s scissors. Even their cheap tools come with some good scissors.
