Just some fun videos I’ve made about cool knives or fun adventures I’ve been on.
Hawk 250 and mini bike riding trails!
Me and my buddy Dylan went off-roading to test my new Hawk 250 at Interlake off-road park in Lynville Indiana. The trails were pretty tough in several places. I was on my slightly modified Hawk 250 and Dylan was on an extremely modified mini bike with a 212 predator engine. There was a Chevy Silverado that was involved in a medical incident while we were there. We rode right by the truck after the fire department came and rescued the guy.

Sheffield 1282, a simple, reliable, lightweight work knife.
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.4 года назад
The Sheffield 1282 weighs half an ounce, costs $3-6, never rusts, and you never have to sharpen it. Simple, cheap and available are pretty good attributes for a work knife and the Sheffield is definitely a work knife. There is a 9/10 rating for this blade, the rating is based on my personal experience over a period of several months using it -Tactipants
Mora robust knife review...does it all!
Просмотров 7 тыс.5 лет назад
The mora robust is just that, extremely robust. It is also lightweight (4.7oz with sheath), sharp out of the box, and easy to sharpen as well. The sheath works well for regular use. I have skinned deer, split kindling, made wood shaving for starting fires, sliced up food, as well as many other tasks Overall, this Mora has performed very well. I confidently rate this knife a 9/10 for the reasons...
Mini Maglight review, solid flashlight for cheap!
Просмотров 1375 лет назад
This is a quick review of the Maglite mini-Maglite. This flashlight costs around $10 from amazon or Walmart, weighs 1.8oz loaded with two batteries, and has 96 lumens of usable light. This flashlight is made out of durable aluminum, has a focusing beam, and good water resistance. Those are just a few of the high points of this light. my suggested uses are as a backpacking/camping flashlight, or...
Leatherman Fuse review! Medium duty every day carry?
Просмотров 4,5 тыс.5 лет назад
The Leatherman Fuse is a retired, but still relevant medium duty multitool. this tool can be purchased on the used market for around $25. I like to edc it when possible instead of a super lightweight and tiny multitool. Great set of features, and lightweight for its feature set. (5oz) throw it in your pocket or on your belt and go tackle your day! For the reasons discussed in the video, I rate ...
The Gerber Crucial multitool, back to the basics!
Просмотров 16 тыс.5 лет назад
The Gerber Crucial is a Multitool that has the bare bones for a medium weight and duty multitool. The couple of critiques I have for this tool is in its lack of scissors and overall lack of tools for its weight (5oz). The lack of other tools does mean that the the external tools on the Crucial lock via a liner lock mechanism. The bottle opener is unneeded and doesn’t lock, it is however heavy d...

The Spyderco Byrd Robin 2, coconut carver!
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.5 лет назад
The Spyderco Byrd Robin 2 is quite a mouthful but in the pocket or in the hand it shows that a name isn’t everything. The Robin 2 in G10 handles weighs 2.5 oz and has a bank vault solid lockup. For such a small knife I find that it often punches above its blade length in everyday tasks that I would normally favor a longer blade for. All in all, I rate the Robin 2 at a 9/10 based on my experienc...

Ozark trail $5 multitool sucks less!
Просмотров 845 лет назад
This is a budget friendly, available, decent quality multitool that is best served (in my opinion) as a car tool or a backup for an expensive edc multitool. The weight is 5.1oz. (without the sheath) the rating after my personal experience with this tool is 7/10. Keep in mind that this is a lot less expensive than a leatherman or Gerber so the rating is good considering the price! -Tactipants
Opinel #9, a almost perfect folder!
Просмотров 2475 лет назад
The Opinel #9 is a classic, lightweight, and budget friendly option for every day carry, backpacking, food processing, and many other things. It weighs 1.9oz with the 3.3” blade. Check out all the Opinel knives on amazon, prices range from $10-20 depending on the model. everything considered, I rate this knife a 9/10. (Easter egg at the end of the vid)
Dripping with tactical features, the Mcnett Tactical dive knife!
Просмотров 7655 лет назад
The Mcnett Dive knife has a multitude of great features that make it a well suited choice for last-ditch self defense. From the ergonomic handle with a take-down feature, to the titanium nitride coated, 420 stainless steel blade and the excellently executed sheath system this is a very cost effective blade. The knife weighs 3.2 oz and the sheath weighs 1.9 oz for a combined total of 5.1 oz. I g...

Still carrying mine. Years later.
I’ve had nearly EVERY Leatherman-mostly giving them away to family members or friends when they no longer match my habits. The ones I have left: Leatherman kick Bear claw sportsman Gerber crucial Minimalist me Some that I regret giving away: The surge The supertool 300
Brown and green look like shit in forest
I appreciate the video. I just bought one. Nice to know about the wear and tear.
Good review. Thanks.
Five ounces that's good for the tool load with locking tools and I think this and the Blast are underappreciated. I mean I think the Skeletool is five ounces!, and the only tools are screwdrivers! They once made a knifeless version of the Fuse with a file where knife is usually. I carry a knife so I like the idea of that version and the knifeless Rebar they still sell but it's heavier. I like this model, the Fuse. Weight and bulk matter to a lot of us and a good tool load with you beats a better one left in your vehicle or shop or home. Bigger isn't always better and small can be beautiful.
I carry one at all times along with a scheffield plastic utility knife. I ad a Syderco Endura if I need a weapon.
Good to the point review.
If gerber does one thing right, it’s scissors. Even their cheap tools come with some good scissors.
You forgot to mention the ruler! It’s actually not completely useless Great video!
100%, I’ve used it plenty of times with smaller projects. The ruler on my super tool 300 is even better 👌🏻
I received one as a safety award when working electrical 15? years ago. Good quality but have barely used it and thinking of gifting it to a friend.
I find myself carrying the Rambler the most if I'm not going to work, great and lightweight
can you make the handle more flat and shorter and maybe even shorten the blade and make little cardboard sheath to make it small enough to fit in the pocket?
try to research more before doing review... you mentioned Carbon Steel 12C27N... btw, 12C27N is Sandvik STAINLESS STEEL.... Carbon Steel examples are 1075,1095, 440, etc... do research more on this...
Simple fix for rusting boil some apple cider vinegar or plain vinegar dip in vinegar for an hour and every once in awhile repeat no rust;)
For me the bottle opener is a lot more useful then scissors would be. This would be the perfect multi-tool IMO if one could get it in black but keep the bottle opener as opposed to the seatbelt cutter that the black version uses.
Saweet Moto!
Can it be closed?
Yes, slide the white tabs down and you can fold it down it down.
Just got a used one of eBay for 15 bucks total. My fiance got it for my birthday. I gave it some tlc and it's a great little piece.
Eating fingernails???
I got one of theese for 10 bucks at a yardsale it was practically bran new i didnt hagle with th asking price i snatched it up great tool
Keep up the great work. All the best and good luck with growing your channel! Have you ever looked into using promosm!?? You could use it to promote your videos.
Yes it is the best! I was doing a little bit of drywall work and on another utility knife the blade slipped out and the Sheffield stood strong
loved using my little flat blade to cut tape on boxes.... until i lost my Leatherman last week☹
These things are so subjective...I never use the scissors on any of my multi tools but I use the bottle opener all the time! (Burp!)
I agree. Use the bottle opener multiple times, every day, never need scissors,...never ever.
Ahhhh ya
Now, they only officially produce them in red. :( I have one... In red, of course. Weighs exactly 30 grams.
As long as you keep the knife dry . And wipe it . It should be fun and leave the patina on because it protects the steel . If you look after it it will in turn look after you.
How did you put a patina on it
@@Englishmann96 soaked it in vinegar
Hey Tactipants, did you know that Leatherman released a Removable Bit Driver kit that actually came out in late 2004 only a few months after the Leatherman released at the time three new multitool models which were meant to replace the PST II, these new Leatherman multitool models where - Kick, Fuse, and the Blast. This removable bit kit is essential for you to get since you have the Leatherman fuse, because the bit driver fits on the end of the Philips screwdriver on your Leatherman fuse and allows you to then use any of Leathemans removable bits. I was lucky enough back in 2005 to get the more uncommon Leatherman Fuse in safety orange color that came with the LED Lenser H5 Headlamp from an L.L. Bean store(overpaid) - sport.woot.com/offers/leatherman-fuse-tool-led-lenser-headlamp . I was also lucky enough to see/buy from that same L.L.Bean store this Removable Bit Driver kit. The Leatherman Fuse in safety orange is awesome, but the LED Lenser H5 headlamp was ridiculously heavy(massive battery pack) clunky, and had a very low 25-lumen output. Here are a few links to this awesome Leatherman removable bit driver - www.amazon.com/Leatherman-931012-Black-Silver-Driver/dp/B000PS4XQY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=leatherman+Removable+Bit+Driver&qid=1600099581&sr=8-1 - Watch is video about the leatherman bit kit I'm talking about - ruclips.net/video/Hpa6CPypTFk/видео.html
Thanks for the review. I'm going to start looking for one!
Thanks man never even knew half the stuff in this video and I’ve had mine for a while. I never knew about these things because it was really stiff to open the pliers so I was afraid of damaging it. Thanks!!
I had one but I lost it a couple years ago when I moved but I swear I brought it with me. I might buy another one though.
My initial reactions after two days of ownership are that the tool is heavier than expected; pliers are very stiff to open, even after lubrication; locking, thick, one handed opening and locking blade works well; locking screwdrivers work well but shanks are too short; and the upside down carabiner is weird but acts as part of the frame when using the other tools. Belt clip works well. All in all not bad for a cheap multitool.
Can opener?
It’s not a perfect knife. The one thing I quite dislike about it is the lack of a ricasso. While it might seem like a pretty petty thing to get upset over, it means that when you sharpen this knife, you but up against the handle material with your stones, and you can’t get that region of the blade sharp. 12CN27 is a stainless steel. Mora uses C100 in its carbon steel (non stainless) knives. Despite its drawbacks, it is a FANTASTIC knife and I love owning it. I don’t think that any other knife can beat the value for the price.
I take a file and add a sharpeners Choil to all my moras.. very easy and much better looking that a different grind at the base
I've had my fuse for probably 10 years now. I love the knife blade INSIDE. I might be the only one who doesn't like the knife outside
I know! I like that the tools are on the inside because it keeps dirt out of the tools. I don’t need super fast access because I carry a folding knife as well. I’ve had a Leatherman super tool 300 for 7 years now as an every day carry tool at work and the tools on the inside has never steered me wrong👍🏻
@@tactipants3036 I think most people love the easy fast access. I don't need easy fast access. That's what's keeping me from upgrading, plus my Fuse is still as good as new
Deron Collings if you take care of things then they last. Thanks for the comment brother👍🏻
How do you change the blade
Just press the white button on the end of the knife closest to the blade. 👍🏻
Great Review Very Detailed. 👍
Got one coming in the mail. Cost me around $16 without tax and shipping at blade hq
Charles Dunlap right on, it’s a solid knife for the little bit of money👌🏻
I watched 5 seconds of this review... and it was all cringe
It's my favourite Mora out of the several I own. I batoned a load of fatwood with it today. Cleaned all the resin off it. then carved a spoon with it this evening. It's also cheap enough it's not going to be a big deal if I manage to break it.
Same. If it breaks, who cares? They're like pocket change.
I cut the extra Tab off my sheath. I'm never going to clip the Knives together and I didn't like the extra piece sticking out. Otherwise I love this combination.
I did the same as soon as I got it. My shirt would catch that tab when I wanted to draw the knife
use gloves
When you decide to replace that one for an unruined one, PLEASE PLEASE look up how to sharpen a scandi grind blade properly. The original bevel is the way it should be, not with the secondary bevel you ground into it. Regular knife sharpeners are NOT to be used, as they have the wrong angle. Use a stone or sandpaper. Ruining the cutting edge bevel like that has reduced your knife's sharpness, and diminished the knife's ability to be RAZOR sharp.
I was about to say the same thing.
Does it rust hard?
If you don’t put any kind of oil on it then it will form surface rust very quickly, surface rust can be wiped off with a scouring pad and some Rem oil though. It doesn’t inhibit function. If you do oil it then you won’t have any problems!
Привет, а сколько длина ножа и толщина в обухе?
I have one myself and plan to post my own review. It's overall a pretty decent knife. I find that the "VG-10" on Camillus blades performs above AUS-8 but below Spyderco's VG-10, which is actually the softest VG-10 being used on knives right now. I'd say the steel is actually CR-10 which used to be called "VG-10 Cobalt", which is a Chinese version. Decent stuff overall, solid knife if found for $30 or less but, at $45+ it's harder to justify. Just my thoughts!
Best tactical shooting video known to man and 3rd best overall video on the internet!
I have a black one with a rescue blade instead of a carbine. my favorite edc!
joão pelissari, honestly the rescue cutter changes the game a little in my mind and makes this multitool much better without the gimmicky bottle opener/carabiner. Thanks for the feedback!
@@tactipants3036 I totally agree with you. Both the rescue blade and a bottle opener are useless to me too! I would much prefer scissors or a larger Philips wrench ✌
I had three of the Gerber Crucial. The first one went back to the store where I purchsed it after one week due to the liner lock jamming the blade open and even using pliers to depress the lock, we were unable to get the blade closed. So, as a saftey hazard, it was exchanged for another one. About a week after that, the second one had the same issue. This time the store would neither exchange, nor refund it because every one they sold had been returned for the same reason. So, I contacted Gerber and sent them the multitool. They sent me a new Crucial. This one went in the trash. Here's why: They had tightened the bolts so snug that we were only able to open and close the pliers by using a set of vise-grips on each handle. The nut/bolt stripped each wrench used to try to loosen it. We lubricated the mechanism and forced the pliers open and closed one hundred times in an effort to wear it down enough to make opening and closing the tool easier. That didn't work. So, finally we tossed it in the trash.
