You don’t need a porch to enjoy this beautiful piece of music (from a man still going strong today with more music in his little finger than most pop stars of today).
As I listen to this timeless classic, the lyrics transport me back to a simpler time, when life seemed to move at a slower pace. The music stirs memories of warm summer nights, and the longing for freedom and adventure. But as the song comes to an end, it also serves as a reminder to cherish the present moment, and to not take for granted the beauty of the world around us. Thank you Creedence Clearwater Revival for creating such an emotional and impactful piece of music
Life's still simple if you make it simple. **Looks at the homework on my desk (engineering student)** I retract my earlier statement. Life is not simple. WHY IS NOTHING ALLOWED TO BE SIMPLE?!?!

John Fogerty thought his son Josh, age 3 at the time. would love this song ... and that is who he wrote it for. In the song there is a reference to a parade of magical things passing by. I’m 75 & saw John with my daughter a few weeks ago. Best memory of the night was when John stopped signing & asked the audience “ How’s it feel to be 17 again tonight? I was, we all were!
I saw him three weeks ago. What a great show! He can still do it, and he's a year older than Trump.

Love CCR. This song is such a happy little song. Just makes ya feel better on a shit-ass day. My mother always said she played CCR all the time while she was pregnant with me and that's why I love them. God rest her soul coming on 2 years in another month, but she was right. I play this on a loop all the time and just feel better 👍

Don’t think enough people appreciate this lyric enough ...”bother me tomorrow, today I found no sorrow” This is so many levels deep for such a seemingly simplistic song on the surface.
I think its "bother me tomorrow, today I'll buy no sorrow."
«Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon...» What is it talking about?😀
@@barnichua The "magic spoon" refers to heroine use and it sending you to another place (limbo?), mentally. "Today, I'll buy no sorrow" refers to not buying heroine.

This is the best song to listen to while driving home from the doctors, pounding on the roof of your car while smoking a joint and drinking a beer. Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrow

I don't care if these guys are high or not. In this video they look like they are genuinely happy to be sitting around making good music.
They're not high, just to clarify. They were against drugs very much so.

A group of friends just being genuinely happy making music and being alive beats anything drugs can conjure up anyways.
John Fogerty thought his son Josh, age 3 at the time. would love this song ... and that is who he wrote it for. In the song there is a reference to a parade of magical things passing by. John said it was inspired by a Dr. Seuss book he read as a kid, titled "And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street." What a cute and happy little tune; I love it!!
***** here's some more Jean; when CCR recorded this video, the guys refused to speak with john because his ego was so big and was putting down his brother jim. sad info, i know
I was under the impression that this song was about John taking an acid tab when back from touring? Maybe wrong, but I'm sure I read that somewhere.
CityGov i heard it was about heroin ..
Marcel Parizal No it isn't about heroin or any other drugs, but like "I am the Walrus" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" from the Beatles {also not about drugs}, this CCR song sounds like one hell of an acid trip if one is unfamiliar with the backstory.

It is simply about childish imagination and the things that it can conjure up.
