Shannon says no one was ever locked up for dog fighting before. What he doesn't understand is that Mike Vick wasn't sent to prison for dog fighting either. He was sent to prison for transporting animals or equipment across state lines for the purposes of animal fighting. It was a new federal law written by a veterinarian in the US Senate. Mike Vick was the first person charged under that law. His lawyers should have been straight up with him that there's no fighting federal charges; you're going to prison. If you're charged in federal court, you'd better beg for a plea deal. No lawyer is going to save you from the Feds.

I'm a Mike Vick fan but still his view of what happened is sad in my opinion. He expressed sadness for the time he missed from his family and the time he missed from the game but not once did he mention the lives of the dogs that died in his care. Im all for second chances but he seems more sorry that he wasted a couple years of his talent more so than putting animals in a situation to get killed for nothing more than his own entertainment. Their bringing up how much money he had in the bank instead of how bad it is to hurt innocent animals. doesn't sit right w me as much as I want to only care about his talents but it's hard when he doesn't show much empathy for what he did except for the fact it got him in trouble.. he even said he only paid everyone back because he thought it would get him some money back. I love dogs. I love my dog. That said, America protects dogs more than unborn children , orphans, abused children, and, never mind, I'll get cancelled and called "judgy".

Thats very evil indeed, thats the Mike Vick that is hopefully long gone. I cant forgive him for what he did, but i give him credit for being on the right path and not engaging back into it. Hes lucky he got just 2 years, he couldve spent life in todays age.

Goes to Show, One bad Choice in Life can Mess your whole future up, and also Athletes and Entertainers that come from poor backgrounds should take a few lessons and read up on handling money, I mean 8 million just gone like that - as Dr. Dre once said, no matter how hard you work for your money , there's at least 100 people out there try to take it off you

Certain acts are unforgivable in a way. You fought this in court, you wanted to get off completely, you only admitted your fault when it was inevitable you couldn't get away. People like you can never be trusted, only kept on a short leash (no pun intended) in eyesight of the world.
