I always have to laugh when I watch these videos, then scroll down to see the thumbs up and thumbs down...anyone who puts the thumb down is just clueless. Love Mr. Morrison's work
This is really good stuff. After reading Geoff's book at 16 in 1992, and then working the doors full time from 18 to 29 in very rough places. This is the reality, this is what works, this is what you need to know, (at least you did back then). A self defence class is not going to cut it. The psychological aspects are greater than the physical, it takes relatively little effort to knock someone out. To not freeze take far more mental training. This takes me back to a better time, which would probably sound messed up to most.
Next time I won't be fooled by someone with grey hair...not that I was. Always be vigilant. Gtfo if you're able or the option's there. Don't just be a thug.

As a private unarmed security professional, this is the content I recommend watching! This is what is useful and actually works! My training background: spear (Tony blaurs system) , Krav Maga and a mix of military based combat styles. This content is true reality based martial arts!
First video if seen with these guy's! I've been a professional bouncer since I left the force's just over 25 year's ago. I used to do a bit boxing. But now train MMA. I haven't seen this particular drill before. But I gurentee I will be practicing it tomorrow morning, at training. After many hundreds of fights over my years as a bouncer, private security and military career. I know this is a situation that happens very regularly. And this looks to be a very good and fast follow up. I will be watching more video's in the future.
@@stevenrichardson9880 I have been a bouncer for over 27 year's, in some very nasty club's. I have also worked in other areas of security. So yes I have had many hundreds of fights! I'm not saying I won them all, but I have had them. I have worked in some of the worst venue's in the UK, where they fight every night. In many venue's they don't involve the police, it's just let the DS deal with it. That way there is no report to the licensing board. So in many places we have to fight, or lose your job.
As a fellow security officer, I can confirm this especially at the doors.... Hundreds of fights over the years to me is a understatement if you are in a bad Area. In my short Career of 6 years now I've been at least well over the 200's of fights and altrictions because I work at a shit ton of event and bad areas. So no this is not a understatement. Also this is the content I as a professional recommend! It comes well in my training in spear, Krav Maga and combined military self Defence systems.
Just found this channel and have trained in defensive tactics and Krav Maga and I can say as a Doorman / Security Officer of 23 years and counting the techniques shown absolutely work in the real world.
Now that I practice this at home for my training I remember I got into a situation couple years back on the subway in new York City and I perform this technique by putting my left hand as a warning sign to stop and as he slap my hand I came with right jab . Full force never seen a man eye roll back it took that man to realize what just happen so I can imagine how effect this technique will be
I think lee has certainly hit on a formula that most people could grasp reasonably quickly. It’s surprising how fast you can get an open hand moving after a bit of practice. The best thing about his technique is that you can practice most of this stuff on your own as opposed to more complicated techniques you need an opponent for. As for lee’s speed that may take a bit of time. Awesome stuff.
Excellent technique. As an instructor I struggle with teaching students to execute the pad-work assertively. I am envious of your crew. Thanks for the great material.
This guy is Geoff Thompson on steroids. There's a hardness about Pommy hardmen that you won''t find in most Yanks, except maybe for Kelly McCann and Carl Cestari and a few others.
Totally. The difference between Lee and Michiel Mulder is that they have worked the doors for years and actually been in real fights, lots of them. Like Geoff Thompson before them, they teach what really works on the street.
I love watching your content lee 👍,I've done martial arts for 20 years and a lot of it looks the part but when it comes to the nitty gritty does it work is the question . Yours is straight to the point BANG job done what I like .Wish you were my neck of the woods in East Anglia .keep up the good work 🙏
all we see are proposal of start middle or end phase..in which an endless potential of follow up additions can be added in every direction..wth all warriors are aware of.it is only a small video...just to stimulate the warrior in us to ponder upon.grateful for the points!
Big boy just wanted a hug mate and u chinned him. Once this technique is instinctive is hard to break the programming. Poor ol mum's in a coma now. To be fair shes got a glass jaw
I really like your real life self Defense/ self Confidence videos. Very well done! Building self confidence/awareness for real life situations that arise. Keep up the good work!..Looking forward to many more good videos from you and your students, hope I can meet you someday in person Sir.💯👌👍
Excellent training. Serious question though- you get your hand slapped down & roll with it like you demonstrate; why not target the brachial with a ridge hand? In my experience, much higher probability of a one shot stop, your hand is going to the same general area anyway. Not sharpshooting, would appreciate hearing any opinion on this, there may be a reason not to do it that I'm overlooking. Again, great content.
I had to use the fence today after an altercation at the gym, the guy came forward and touched my lead fence hand about 4/5 times(with his chest not his hand)but I could sense he wasn't ever going to actually strike or do anything but I still kept him at bay.... in the end he ended up apologising and we actually had a chat about life for about 20 mins after and he even said he was waiting for me to throw first... had I done so I would have escalated the situation and possibly hurt him bad, but I used my sixth sense and prevented a lot of possible aggro!..... so hitting after just one warning is not always a good option, every situation is different but I think it comes down to how good you are at quickly assessing a person and their actual intentions, sometimes its just a lot of bark and no bite
Good info on the video...........however, I personally NEVER teach people to closefist punch in a street attack. Palm strike works just as well and negates injury to small finger bones that might be needed later to escape, open car doors, use improv weapons etc
Good points. But is it not true fingers sticking out in conflict can also be sprained , strained, jammed or even broken? I have seen and experienced this myself.I would be quite surprised if you have never seen this. In fact if I see fingers not closed I would see them as a potential target. " Defanging the snake" as it is often called in some styles.
@@699669king I was taught and now teach a forward palm strike (palm forward of the slightly bent and slightly squeezed fingers), neither a tight palm or loose, somewhere in between to hep prevent (as much as possible) injury. I see a finger I am gonna bite it off, especially the trigger finger :) But I would rather have finger/grip dexterity than a swollen fist.
Use the tiger claw instead, claw strike on the face is better than palm strike, and do not cut your finger nails, then you will have a very dangerous weapon for close combat. The injury on the opponent's eyes can be severe, you have to be careful not injure anybody.
@@stevenrichardson9880 you can test this method in bar fight, full power claw strike to the face produces the impact from palm heel and severe injury on the eyes. The opponent will back down, the result of the attack is more devastating than the use of punch, and tiger claw will keep your hands in a good condition, it is unlike using the fist that will break your hand.
Great as always, could you maybe do a series on how to recover after your first offense fails using previously taught drills? In other words, when things don't go the way you've planned. Thanks.
I wish i had a friend like this guy. I pretty much just learned to take the hits not to fight back having a mexican boxer as a dad. How cool it couldve been to train like this in a gym rather than be the bag. I think life as a whole could be different. Id probably be different.
Amazing! Work 👍 great to see these type of drill. If possible can we see also advanced drills on both ends with both fighters having a good IQ. For example in this vid when the attacker slap the hand or harm but what if the attacker had a quick reaction to avoid the first strike. I’d love to see drill with opponent ( attacker ) also defending 😃
Question, not sure. What if I slap the guy but he moves, on his own to collect himself, 10 or 15 feet away? Do i chase him or wait till he comes back that 15 feet he moved on his own? Thanks in advance. God Bless brothers and sisters!
Geoff Thompson's 2 touch rule: First touch you push him and attempt to negotiate or loop hole or "submit" so the fight never begins. The 'second touch's is actually the (genuine) first "fuck off" touch. Meaning if the opponent continues to not back off or walk away or he didn't get his ego fix, the second touch of the fence you push him back and as Thompson would say "create a gap" and then begin to posture Posturing will end the fight most likely. But then at the third attempt at the fence you preempt and strike.
Conor Fields, a drunk or a trained fighter gets it the instant I feel they mean me harm. It could be a slap, elbow or a glass in their face, the end result is the same. The UC guys just give more chances than personally would. Train how you want to fight
Very few people would F#!K with that guy. Confidence and body language stops most bullies. plus I get the feeling if any would try and test him. He would smile

lol .. love how LM apologizes for being heavy-handed .. and is equally heavy-handed in the next strike ... fantastic ...

I should have remembered this BEFORE my last sparring session. The problem here is that most people tighten up instead of flowing.
