I was in a ldr as well. But I made a choice to see her as often as I can, every 6 mos. She was in the Phil and I was here in the states. That was 2009. 2021 now, we got married in 2011 and 2 little girls later. It’s a sacrifice and it’s dedication. I mean of course there are temptations but in the end it was her all along. Like anything it takes and forever I will date my wife and learn more each day. It’s possible, you just gotta put in the work and in the end it will be worth it.
Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It’s for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t see it nearly enough.
If Jollibee can make meaningful, touching and relevant stories that every couple can relate in a short film, i'm sure they can make the same impact on a full length movie

My present boyfriend is an actor as well and he knows what I have been through. At times jealousy, paranoia and doubt would cloud my mind, and he will always be there to reassure me. I literally searched for this ad when I saw it 'cause of how dumb the mindset in the beginning was. I'm in LDR and we're 3 years in our relationship on 28th. He is also my first and I want him to be my last. Our relationship was always ridiculed by people around us saying things like, "It will never last." "You don't know who they really are." "What if they're hiding secrets from you?" and things like that. People criticize something that they never experienced and someone whom they never met. It's a toxic mentality. Being in LDR taught me how to be more patient and understanding towards my partner. Loving someone isn't always about being physically together with them but being connected with them no matter where they are. We create a bond far stronger than anyone else's and surviving the odds is what makes our relationship even stronger. It's not about the distance, it's about the unwavering love you have for them. And these are some of the things I learned loving the same man over and over again for the past years.

It was my first time being in a long distance relationship. I love this person so much. He was everything I've prayed for and I was ready to share the rest of my life with him. We fought a lot and but at the end of every day, I'd still choose him over everything. He would always tell me he loves me and will choose me over everyone. But in the end, he didn't choose me. He chose someone over me. Everything in me started falling apart. I still love him and it's really painful too see how every word he has told me were nothing but lies. Some LDRs just don't work no matter how you love the person.
At first, I thought it was just a long-distance relationship problems. You can't be with her always. You just have Messenger as your means of communication. You can't reach and touch her. You can't do the things that you want to do with her. But when we lived in the same house, distance is no longer the problem. But it's her priorities. She exhausted so much of her time at work. She can barely bond with me. We barely go out but she gets the time to meet with her friends. I got so tired of explaining what I want. I got so tired of telling her to choose me over her work and friends. But, I guess she didn't really understand my sentiments that's why I had to let her go. Right now, I'm being consumed by my thoughts wondering why can't she see what I see? Why didn't she spend more time with me? Is it really hard to prioritize that people you love?

I've been hurt so many times in a long-distance type of relationship. The experiences taught me to believe in love that I can touch and invest myself in someone I can be with. Maybe, I'm just unlucky in this kind of relationship or perhaps haven't found the person who is willing to wait, who can fight, and who can keep me despite the difficulty and challenges. I'm in an LDR for 3yrs now...approximately 6,304 miles away from each other...medyo naoffend ako sa first part ng mga sinabi ni girl...I totally disagree sa mga judgments nya kase even if sa "screen" lang kami nagkikita araw-araw ng partner ko, I never felt alone nor completely lonely except for a couple of days every time na kailangan maghiwalay na kami sa airport...trust issues, siguro kapag sa umpisa palang kayo ng relationship nyo pagdadaanan talaga yan kase kinikilala nyo pa ang isa't isa & still building that trust pero in my experience mas nagka-trust issues pa ako sa mga ex ko na nandito lang din sa Pinas at mas matagal kong kakilala. The lessons I've learned from relationships whether or not magkalapit kayo nung taong mahal mo, kung hindi talaga kayo same level of love, commitment & effort, it will never work...for me, mararamdaman mo na palaging masaya at buo ang puso mo kapag nasa tamang tao ka...you will feel secured sa pagmamahal nya kahit darating pa din yung mga days na naiinsecure ka sa iba kase tao lang naman tayo...hindi man madali yung sitwasyon lalu na kung LDR kayo pero if you are truly destined for each other & God approves it, no time & distance can ruin what you have...for now, tiis muna dahil sa lockdown & closed borders.
Meet my girlfriend when I was still working in Da Nang, Vietnam 2 years ago. Now I'm back in Manila. More than a year na LDR, may language barrier pa konti and then Covid hits. The key to making LDR work is wag masyadong OA at praning. No need for some cheesy dates on videocall.
So relatable. Nov 2019 ko sinagot yung bf ko. Since new couple, we have alot of plans together. Syempre gusto namin magkasama all the time cause it's a fresh love, nandoon pa yung kilig, excitement and we are still getting to know each other more. But then lock down happened. Dito na test yung patience, understanding, tiwala sa isa't isa and syempre yung love namin. I'm just so lucky that we've been friends for 5 years and ang tagal naming hinintay ito. So, giving up was never an option. We always go back to the reason why we are committed. And that's because we love each other. Now, we try to meet twice a month. And I couldn't be more happier. Trust, patience, communication and understanding yung mga natutunan ko during lock down. It's not really easy, pero pag mahal mo, walang mahirap. 😊

I can truly relate with this, my boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship- turning 3 years. He is in Manila 🇵🇭 and I am here in London 🇬🇧, talking about the 8 hour time difference. Although we were together January of last year, our plans of him coming to visit me here was postponed because of the pandemic. I guess we just have to hold on...the irony is, when the best chance we have to be together is to stay apart...🇬🇧❤️🇵🇭
Aww. I can relate to the 8 hr difference. My boyfriend is in England 🇬🇧 too and I am in the Philippines 🇵🇭 And yes that time difference is sometimes frustrating. Having a toxic and unhealthy relationship with my ex in the past, made it so hard for me to trust anyone ever again. I'm very honest with my present bf about the doubtfulness and paranoia that I am sometimes experiencing with our relationship. Although i know he might misinterpret it and would think that I don't have faith and trust with the relationship I have with him. But he is not giving up on us and he always reassures me of his love. I am so glad to have him in my life. And I'm trying my very best to help myself with the trauma that my ex gave me because I want this relationship to work out and be with this person that I have for the rest of my life. ❤️
@@roseanaa Your story is just the same as mine. I was in a toxic relationship before as well- and with an actor, yes with an actor. My present boyfriend is an actor as well and he knows what I have been through. At times jealousy, paranoia and doubt would cloud my mind, and he will always be there to reassure me. However, there are times that out of his human nature, he would lose his patience on me and I can completely understand him. I want to make this relationship work out, we want this relationship to work out, that is why we have plans, plan of him coming here to study and to be with me, plan to travel after this pandemic, plan to realise our goals and dreams and plan of settling down. I literally searched for this ad when I saw it 'cause of how dumb the mindset in the beginning was. I'm in LDR and we're 3 years in our relationship on 28th. He is also my first and I want him to be my last. Our relationship was always ridiculed by people around us saying things like, "It will never last." "You don't know who they really are." "What if they're hiding secrets from you?" and things like that. People criticize something that they never experienced and someone whom they never met. It's a toxic mentality.
Being in LDR taught me how to be more patient and understanding towards my partner. Loving someone isn't always about being physically together with them but being connected with them no matter where they are. We create a bond far stronger than anyone else's and surviving the odds is what makes our relationship even stronger. It's not about the distance, it's about the unwavering love you have for them. And these are some of the things I learned loving the same man over and over again for the past years.

17mos LDR then nakauwi ako last December 3days kami nakapagkita ng girlfriend ko after nun LDR nanaman pero we choose to fight for our relationship. It was my first time being in a long distance relationship. I love this person so much. He was everything I've prayed for and I was ready to share the rest of my life with him. We fought a lot and but at the end of every day, I'd still choose him over everything. He would always tell me he loves me and will choose me over everyone.
But in the end, he didn't choose me. He chose someone over me. Everything in me started falling apart. I still love him and it's really painful too see how every word he has told me were nothing but lies.
Some LDRs just don't work no matter how you love the person.

At first, I thought it was just a long-distance relationship problems. You can't be with her always. You just have Messenger as your means of communication. You can't reach and touch her. You can't do the things that you want to do with her. But when we lived in the same house, distance is no longer the problem. But it's her priorities. She exhausted so much of her time at work. She can barely bond with me. We barely go out but she gets the time to meet with her friends. I got so tired of explaining what I want. I've been hurt so many times in a long-distance type of relationship. The experiences taught me to believe in love that I can touch and invest myself in someone I can be with. Maybe, I'm just unlucky in this kind of relationship or perhaps haven't found the person who is willing to wait, who can fight, and who can keep me despite the difficulty and challenges. NEXT TIME, I HOPE IT IS THE FEELING THAT MATTERS INSTEAD OF DISTANCE.

I'm in an LDR for 3yrs now...approximately 6,304 miles away from each other...medyo naoffend ako sa first part ng mga sinabi ni girl...I totally disagree sa mga judgments nya kase even if sa "screen" lang kami nagkikita araw-araw ng partner ko, I never felt alone nor completely lonely except for a couple of days every time na kailangan maghiwalay na kami sa airport...trust issues, siguro kapag sa umpisa palang kayo ng relationship nyo pagdadaanan talaga yan kase kinikilala nyo pa ang isa't isa & still building that trust pero in my experience mas nagka-trust issues pa ako sa mga ex ko na nandito lang din sa Pinas at mas matagal kong kakilala. The lessons I've learned from relationships whether or not magkalapit kayo nung taong mahal mo, kung hindi talaga kayo same level of love, commitment & effort, it will never work...for me, mararamdaman mo na palaging masaya at buo ang puso mo kapag nasa tamang tao ka...you will feel secured sa pagmamahal nya kahit darating pa din yung mga days na naiinsecure ka sa iba kase tao lang naman tayo...hindi man madali yung sitwasyon lalu na kung LDR kayo pero if you are truly destined for each other & God approves it, no time & distance can ruin what you have...for now, tiis muna dahil sa lockdown & closed borders.

So relatable. Nov 2019 ko sinagot yung bf ko. Since new couple, we have alot of plans together. Syempre gusto namin magkasama all the time cause it's a fresh love, nandoon pa yung kilig, excitement and we are still getting to know each other more. But then lock down happened. Dito na test yung patience, understanding, tiwala sa isa't isa and syempre yung love namin. I'm just so lucky that we've been friends for 5 years and ang tagal naming hinintay ito. So, giving up was never an option. We always go back to the reason why we are committed. And that's because we love each other. Now, we try to meet twice a month. And I couldn't be more happier.
Trust, patience, communication and understanding yung mga natutunan ko during lock down. It's not really easy, pero pag mahal mo, walang mahirap. 😊
