Same problem when I began. If I used sturdy enough wire it was just a struggle & my wraps never looked "clean"& neat. As a painter I had experience with UV resin & owned both resin & curing lamp. I thought about coating the flimsy wire to give it structure & VOILA! AFTER ring is complete you simply brush on a very light coat & cure 1 minute with a UV torch. Resin is self-leveling so brush strokes aren't a problem. Now that I make rings easily I still use it to seal coat colored wire, to create a barrier between skin and poking bits I can't reach with a file and to just secure a piece I feel needs more love.. It gives stability w/o needing multiple wraps to create a shank. If you have questions just reply to this and I'll gladly get you started for very little money. For $20 MAX you'd be covered for a LONG while bc I get 200g UV resin on Amazon for $10 & that's WAY more than needed for this! A small UV torch and a pack of 10 Kittie paint brushes from the dollar store are you need. Find a mid grade resin but be SURE it' reads "hard type UV resin." You can use a nail curing lamp if you have one but a small UV torch from Amazon is cheaper & better for this actually. With torches you can hold rings &❤ aim UV rather than laying flat. There are a few other tips that I gladly share if you aren't familiar. To avoid messes & how to use safely & properly. Just don't be put off bc it's A LOT easier & cheaper than it sounds & I can help you avoid issues & fails. (I wish someone had for me. 😅) #1 ALWAYS USE EYE PROTECTION! I met someone who made resin projects in a windowless bathroom. His eye MD asked if he'd been staring at the sun daily his last check up! The mirrors will bounce UV rays & his eyes sustained permanent damage. So just wear eye protection & if you don't already know, allow me to give you a few tips so you can START ADDING RINGS TO YOUR JEWELRY OFFERINGS!!!!😂😂😂 Lol. Just ask!😊 Have a great day! ~yvette.

🔆 materials I used :
beads : 4mm, 6mm ( can use sphere or abacus crystal)
Soft copper wire
20 gauge ( wire diameter 0.8mm ) :
Model 1: 7cm + 2cm ( about 3,5 inch)
Model 2: 15cm ( 6 inch)
I make wire jewelry, but not wire rings because they are not sturdy… They bend too easy
😄
