I saw some article, She started to sing at a hospital church where she stay as a patient because of cancer, and later on she has been cured but i also heard she cant have a child since then... (Im not really sure about the child part tho) But she manage to stay strong and fight together with her Great husband, And thats the starting point when she decide to devote herself to God... And Voila thats how basically so hyang become this great

The people they show time to time are just random member of the audience. The only exceptions are when they cut to the featured artist (each episode is a tribute to a legendary artist) or sometime they cut to other competing artists who are in the green room watching the performance.
She sings with 100% authenticity. Her story is amazing. When she was 20 yrs old she had uterine cancer & had to have surgery & then became infertile & told she could never have kids. She considered her life a blessing from god & even though for years on end international music companies have wanted to sign her she choose to only sing in churches. She will only sing of hope & good things. She agreed to do one of the contests & had mixed feelings about it but saw a few people in the audience crying & realized she can touch people doing this. So she sing's in these contest's for that reason only. She is a very serious devout christian. Such a wonderful beautiful lady. With the voice of a angel.

This is more of a song contest. The audience got emotional from one performance and also Ali was eliminated - she is the biggest winner here. This performance was from sad popular TV drama and people got emotional. In fact all other singers were eliminated because of that single performance. Of course this has nothing to do with vocal abilities. All singers were surprised.

The original song was written and performed by Yoon Bok Hee in 1978. She wrote the song as a gospel. She was sick in a hospital bed. The song came to her in one of her prayers, she said. In her hayday, she was a leader of all girl vocal group called Korean Kittens. They performed in America and Great Britain and appeared in primetime talk shows in those countries.
