Honestly I think this scene is better than even in the manga and anime! Seeing the flashbacks of them as children as they declare their dreams, it adds more emotional resonance to it. They are finally setting off to fulfill the dreams they've had since they were kids! It's beautiful!

I love that they adapted the subtle things like Usopp’s hesitation, such a little but great character moment for him. He doesn’t have the big lofty ambitions the others have and he feels a little different because of it.
I saw it as his dream was for his mum to get better but that wasn't going to happen

I got chills and I've never even watched the anime or read the manga.
I don't care what anyone says, Iñaki is my Luffy as much as Mayumi Tanaka.
Luffy is my favorite fictional character of all time, and I've always insisted it would be impossible for any actor to embody him but he did it anyway without losing any of what i adore about him.
He's really something special. Even if we don't get a season 2, he has earned himself a fan for live in me.

You know, when you think about it, this really was the best day of Luffy's life. He got his own bounty poster, he got his own Jolly Roger and not only did he get his own crew, he got a family that would stick with him through thick and thin and stand by him no matter what.
I was honestly shocked by how well this was put together! Is it different? Of course! But who just wants to see a copy? There was HEART put into this. Whatever else you might think, it’s still an enjoyable watch
You see. That’s what made this the only live action anime that succeeded. Because it’s different from the source material but still had most elements in it. Because directors of live action anime focus so much about making it so similar to the anime they forget the most important thing. Making it an actual “Story” and one piece made it an actual enjoyable story
It also helped that Ode himself was there to make sure that live action felt like One Piece, to help make sure everything that made his story so great and loved was there. Like he was there over seeing everything and if something didn't feel right he told him to reshot or make suggestions on things to help the live action be a success

Exactly, it was good it, it was different from the anime but the overall story is the exact same, the problem with most anime live adaptation is they put their own flare to the source material while using the same story but different or they deviate from it completely. One piece live adaptation is literally the same story, they are pretty loyal to the source material but at the same time change things so the story can be more coherent. It isn’t like the anime where we get one arc and another arc with them being separated. The live action connected each one back to back. Also it’s really loyal when you are able to make me hate Usopp like I do in the anime, gosh is he a terrible character, hope he dies in the live action for a good surprise. Dude is so useless, wants to be a brave warrior of the sea while running away from everything.
Finally a live action made with love. Of course there are things to improve, but no one can deny the soul of this show, thank you Oda and the entire cast and production for giving us this beautiful story.
The live action team really stayed true to the heart and soul of the manga
I never watched OP until the live action but if the series is about comradery and chasing your dreams than the show really nailed these points and I can see why it's so likable.

The scene completely delivered all the feeling, the atmosphere, the emotions of the original manga/anime to real live action. The final episode was so satisfying to watch as a manga/anime fan
These people are the Straw Hat brought to life, literally.

1:17 I love Sanji smilling to Zoro eager to see him joining the dream speech.
No childish confrontation or sarcasitc look, just one dude proud of his friend.
I kinda like Sanji in the Live Action more than the anime/manga, his abrasiveness and simp-like qualities are toned down a bit, bringing his passion for cooking a little bit more to the surface, which in my opinion makes him feel more fleshed out

I saw the composers talk about this scene in an interview, how they had assigned different instruments for each character, and here, you can hear them blending in one by one along with their character. Amazing musical craftsmanship, that is.

Because One Piece isn't campy all the time. Just look up stuff like jinbei being forgiven by NAMI, the ultimate fates of the rumbar pirates, the island of Ohara and Nico Robin's backstory, and the fishman pirates, as well as the concept of the SMILE fruits and how horrific getting a faulty one is, among other straight up dark one piece story beats.

I've never really gotten into One Piece. I've tried a few times but just never really got it. That said, I've always respected it and have had a rough idea of how the story goes. Despite this, it was hard not to smile throughout this entire scene. I'm glad that One Piece fans are eating so well.

This is how you do a live adaptation especially live anine adaptations perfectly with the creators themselves supporting it including supporting it's fans and it's source material so i really hope we get season 2 soon. Too bad Cowboy bebop couldn't do the same because how do you mess that up??? And let's not forget how badly they messed up dragon ball evolution and M night's shyamalan's last Airbender that ruined noah ringer's career before it started. Lol

I'm only halfway through reading the manga and never even watched the anime aside from a few of the 4kids episodes when I was a kid but this adaptation has so much soul put into it it's unreal. I really, really hope we see more of this.

I've watched this so many times and I still cry every time without fail. This scene is so perfectly done.
The chemistry between Luffy , Zoro , Nami , Ussop and Sanji is really on point , the actore’s were casted perfectlly , of course the same thing goes for the actore’s of Garp , Shanks , Mihawk , Buggy , Zeff and Arlong too , this live action was soo good.
I shouldnt be so supriesed thougth , this is One Piece were talking about , a story about Adventure , Friendship , Mystery , Action moment’s , Comedic moment’s , Emotional moment’s , Slavery , Corrupted Goverment’s , Evil Pirate’s , basically ewerything is in One Piece , it’s hard not to love it , and the character’s are way toooo likeable.
Love that my favourite scene of the season is this ending scene. Such an amazing live action adaptation

10/10 absolute perfect ending. When "We Are" hit, that's when you know they've nailed it.
Now this is how you truly make a live action. And even making it touching and memorable.

Something I was surprised they were able to do well, is balance Sanji’s rude nature with his immediate buddy moments with the other guys (sans Zoro). Great set up for the role he plays in Ennies Lobby as well as the way his origins have made him eager for friendly peer relationships. Stunning work from the entire cast and crew tho
I was worried that he was a bit too "smilley" but his banter with Zoro was just perfect and was afraid that they would take away his pretty woman "weakness" but they kept it. other than that just a bit disappointed they didn't keep his swirly eyebrow.

This is what happens when modern entertainment business is combined with a true creative talent and supervision of people who truly care about their stories and characters. If it wasn't for Oda forcing them to reshoot and start over every single time something didn't felt right, this would probably be just another shitty show 2020s will be forever famous for. Thankfully, we're finally learning from our mistakes. Hopefully this trend will only continue. Marvel, even though you are already basically irrelevant, PLEASE take notes.
Literaly goosebumps
Usopp’s hesitation and flashback to his dying mom, plus how the musical score hits and elevates during that moment, always gets me sobbing. Reminds me of my own mom who passed away in 2016 and who always told me to make my dreams a reality. Resonates so hard.
I love the StrawHats, and Luffy really is the perfect captain for these characters.
Bunch of dreamers with childlike fantasies, the kind that fades away as you grow up and life happens.
But in comes Luffy, strolling in without a care in the world, making you forget what it was you were so worried about. He doesn't laugh at your silly ambition, even pushes you to pursue it.
I mean look at Koby. Stuck on pirate ship for _years_ and for the foreseeable future, too scared to even run away.
Luffy comes out of a barrel, and like 30 minutes later Koby has his freedom and is on his way to fulfill his dream of becoming a Marine.
They did an excellent job with this live action. Can't wait to see Smoker, Robin, Chopper, and Vivi for S2!

I'm a huge anime fan but I always refused to watch one piece so I decided to watch this essentially not knowing a single thing about one piece and I was crying like a baby at this scene
Every time I watch this it makes me tear up. This series is our saviour! It’s amazing what happens when you actually stay loyal to the source material and hire cast and crew who are humble and passionate about the project.
Chills with this ending. So well made with the flashbacks. Loved season 1, can't wait to see the next one.
