Thumbs up looks like you're doing a great job putting it back thanks for all the support you have been given to the Meetup take care catch you later brother
@@SinisterClutch Exactly. I switched my GPS from the Vstrom to the Goldwing. I had to take the whole front apart to do it, I did learn something. I learned I should let someone else do it!!😅😂😅
Thanks for sharing. Although it sucks to have to do all that work, I’m just glad the end result of you being rear ended was just a dent! Take care brother ✌🏼
Appreciate it. I thought about getting a CVO style fender but I had already put money in some of the lighting and didn’t want it to go to waste. Let me know if you have questions. Take care🤙🤙
@@SinisterClutch i needed a vid just like this to see what the difference is in the pre 14 to post 14 models for the fender support bracket. Want the bracket for the 14+ style guards to match my 14+ style bags on my 2013 SG. Based on ur video, looks like my idea will work to just bolt it right on! (I realize you've said nothing to support this idea, this is purely my speculation) Thanks for the vid!
@@Rider_2013_ It’s my understanding they will fit. Steve from the SIK Baggers channel put together a nice video if you don’t want to buy the saddlebag bracket.
@@SinisterClutch i must have looked past it. I've seen where he shows how to put the newer bags on the older models but not the newer guards on the older models
Would liked to have seen how the lights were disconnected. Also, the vid begins with a side view of you wrenching bolts where the viewer can’t see what you’re doing. I’m having to replace my rear frame assembly and was hoping your video would help.
I’m more than happy to help you. At 3:40 I show the bolts when removing the fascia. I do explain the bolts sizes. At 4:57 I explain where the bolts are to take the rear fender off with size of bolts. At 7:32 I explain I needed to take off the saddlebag support. I don’t typically show unscrewing bolts or screwing them in because I don’t want to seem insulting. I did clearly explain the bolts. No I didn’t show the lights because everyone doesn’t have the same lights. The tribar light from factory is one plugin. I hope this helps.
Good install brother, you wouldn't have had to do all that work if you wouldn't have been rear ended, watch out for the crazies out there Brother, ride safe and yes Rip the Ride,👊🏼💯
Hi, thanks for the video. I'm about to embark replacing my fender also. Could I ask a question, did you also reuse the Fender Boss & Nuts 59786-01, 59788-01 from the old to the new? Thank you
I watched this video to see what you had to do to remove the rear fender, then when you got to the info I needed and you started to have trouble the video skipped to. . . . Now the new fender is on. . . . WTF
Unfortunately, you skipped all the meat and potatoes of the side brackets, tour pak hardware, actually removing the fender and the difficulty of getting it back in, relocating and securing electrical... appreciate your efforts, but 12 minutes to change the fascia is somewhat redundant
I explained the saddle bag support removal. I don’t have a tour pak. Unfortunately it was difficult to show putting the fender on and film because I needed both hands. Filming and doing installs can be a pain at times because of that. If anyone has a question I can always answer them. Appreciate you watching 🤙
Great video! Love the music choice! That blacked out light bar is beauty!!! Looks sweet!!
Thanks it did turn out better than I thought 👊😎
Great video my friend! Glad I got to see it with you!
Appreciate it 🤘👊
Seems like forever ago you told us about the fender on our live stream I think it was. Nicely done video man!!!
Yeah it was but thought this would be a good winter project. And every time I went to do it I ended up riding instead 🤣🤣
Bike coming along! Cool stuff
Gotta get it ready for those long trips this year👊🤘😎
Well done sir! You make it look easy for dummies like me!!
Appreciate it brother. It’s even harder when you’re filming it 🤣🤣
Great video mate. 🤘🤘
Appreciate you watching and thanks👊👊🤘
Doing mine as soon as new one is painted so helpful video for sure
Glad I could help. That’s why I do it. 🤘😎

Wow. It's a lot of work, but doing it yourself feels pretty good! Great job. Take care, Patrick

Absolutely. Learn a lot about your bike👊🤙
Great video! New set up looks good.
Appreciate it brother 😎👊

I'm glad that's all the damage that happened. Be safe out there bro. Looks good now!

Thanks. You have a good weekend as well 👊

Great how to video thanks for sharing with us.
Appreciate you watching. It was my first and wanted to get as much detail and info as I could but not be too long. 😎👊
Awesome video. It’s a lot of work, I thought my Dyna was difficult lol 😂 keep it up man .

@@shade057 Yeah I reused all the nuts and bolts.
@@SinisterClutch Hey thanks so much for the reply. Do you recall if they had any loctite on them? Was it difficult to remove?
Thanks!
@@shade057 It wasn’t difficult to remove. I don’t remember if there was loctite but I did put blue loctite on them.
A lot of work. Hope my rear fenders never need replacing.

Did you have to take off the rear tire? I can’t see in the video if you did it
Nope not at all. Thanks for watching ✌️. Let me know if you have more questions.
How much was it for the whole cost of the new fender painted I have the same exact bike
It was around $400. Surprisingly it took 30 days to get it. Harley said it could of been 90 days.
I watched this video to see what you had to do to remove the rear fender, then when you got to the info I needed and you started to have trouble the video skipped to. . . . Now the new fender is on. . . . WTF
I mentioned the bolts to remove and the saddlebag mounts. The rest is the two bolts on the side of the fender. Ask away I’ll help you.

sometimes you say inch-pounds and sometimes you say foot-pounds. I assume you mean foot-pounds. Please clarify.
Which bolt? Some are ft-lbs and some are in-lbs.
You could have at least shown what you loosened
I did. Watch the whole video.
