Rejlænder - Devon's Tune of the Day 097

I had to skip my first day for Tune of the Day because I was just so jetlagged yesterday coming back from Denmark! But I'm back now! This tune is a really lovely "Rejlænder" from Danish band Gangspil (Kristian Bugge & Sonnich Lydom) from their first album that featured Morten Høirup on guitar. Great great tune from the fiddler Madvig Vilsen of Læsø Island, and I love the way it twists and turns itself on the fiddle. It works well with French-Canadian bowing and rhythms which is good since I haven't mastered Danish rhythms at all yet! Big thanks to Morten and Kristian for being such nice hosts in Denmark for me and I think I'll be doing more Danish tunes here that I learned from them! It's good to be back!
