That wash/dispersal with the contrast is a really interesting technique. Gunna have to try that on complex models like this guy.

It indeed is, let me know how that experience goes, seems like it will need some practice, etc. to get the most out of it.

Since the Rotmire are unknowingly worshipping Nurgle in the guise of a leech, I think the three scores in the skulls etc is like a proto-symbol of the three circles commonly associated with Nurgle, will check the core book fluff!

Even though this is a high level paint job there is a lot of good information for newer painters you don't hear much like different sized brushed have different blending applications and smaller isn't necessarily better its more how many marks you want to make, I wish I had heard that a long time ago instead of sort of figuring it out through trial and error. Great video as always.

Hi there Richard, quick question - when I'm watering down the paints a lot, (1.5 water to 1 part paint), on my wet palette. The paint seems to be splitting, sort of as if the water is rising to the top and the paint is sinking. The colour 'blobs' certainly don't look like the ones in your video, can you think what might be going on?

absolutely fantastic video and crazy good paint job. will be revisiting this video many times while I paint my rotmire. if I can offer some constructive criticism, maybe try writing and reading a script for the video? there are a lot of ums during the speaking parts, which you wouldn't notice normally but are very obvious once you start rewinding the video to watch specific parts :)

40:30 also water dries faster than acrylic medium.
