Low key, staff muted my friend when we were reporting somebody in the lobby. Once you report someone, the staff will go through the chat logs, including your party chat. Instead of punishing the player, they muted my friend for a whole month because of a evident joke in our party chat. This was unjust...

I meant devs and admins, that was a mistake. And the build team is paid on Hypixel, rather it being entirely the community.
@@KoruGo you are correct in saying the Mineplex Build Team is not payed, however most maps are not by the community. If you see a map created by 'The Mineplex Build Team' it means 4 or more members of the build team worked on it. If you only have 1 person that worked on a map who was a member of the team, it would be listed under their username.

Devs and admins get paid. Moderating a server should be by volunteering, not by hiring.
Mineplex staff are like Yandere Dev, they don't take criticism and they don't like it when someone's suggests something to improve the server

I was perm network banned for "leaking staff documents" when all i did was talk about them in a forum post, Jarvis banned me and personally decided to reject all my appeals. Jarvis alone is reason enough for Mineplex's destruction
And also Rebel_Guy got blackmailed by Jarvis and he got net ban as well

Jarvis is no longer an admin. If you redo your appeal, it’s possible that a good staff member could give you justice.
If you have to hope a "good staff" reads your appeal then that says enough about how badly curated the staff team is

Some of the mods are kind of biased. My friend and I joined this random party with 2 other people and played against this one really toxic high level player. They made fun of us for getting obsidian on our cake and said that it wasnt gonna help us win against them but then proceeded to get obsidian on *their* cake so we were like "didn't you just make fun of us for getting obsidian on our cake." Needless to say they got really upset so my friend and I /ignored them. Later we were playing in another lobby and they joined as a spectator and stayed in our game for a while. One of our teammates was giving stuff to the opposing team so that they could have a fair fight and next thing we knew, a mod randomly joined and our whole entire team was kicked from the lobby (i left before they could kick me and rejoined in time from the lobby option). We were like tf?? Because ye i guess our teammate was teaming in a way but the rest of us were just trying to get double obsidian. Later I found out that the toxic high level player was actually dating the mod who kicked my teammates and got him to kick our team for her and I was kind of like

The mod got removed from staff a few days later for "unknown reasons" but apparently it was found that a bunch of other people had the same issue with the weird couple and the mod who would kick people she wanted. After my teammates were kicked the girl said in chat "thats what you get

Was a staff member on Mineplex all the way back in thr Golden age. Even then the server had massive problems behind the scenes. I am glad all my peers got out of that toxic enviroment, None of them deserved that. Mineplex did not deserve them.

Im just going to say that AlextheCoder leaving the staff team really means something. That guy loved the server and always talked good about it. He would not leave without a trace just like that.

Thanks for putting this out there. The staff and community involved in the Bedrock demotion stuff tried to put our own things together to voice our opinions but we would always get blocked out because Mineplex cant take criticism. Hoping something changes not just for Bedrock but for the entire network.

i honestly didn't experience direct abuse but i've seen staff often group up with each other and form a "we have staff at our backs lol" kind of thing and it was pretty annoying
the only thing on mineplex with the least lag is the one nobody talks about : mineplex housing.
though, with minecrafts new update, it has made it impossible to open your inventory in it, with it usually crashing after a few seconds. so rip in peace for that. though mineplex will probably patch it, cause the housing stuff is more popular than people think.

I was staff on Mineplex right around the peak. Got demoted because I wasn't online for hours every day, according to them. I feel like it was more that sometimes I was critical and wanted to help them improve
I’ve seen your name before who are you?
One time this moderator had a private part on his skin and I asked him why he would have that, I said the private part in the chat because he said he didn't know what I was talking about. He muted me right after I said it and changed his skin the next day.
This other time I was playing clans and we were being raided, the clan that was raiding us decided to glitch into our chests. I told the moderator about it and I told her I had recording evidence (which I did). We showed it to her and her EXACT WORDS were " Sorry we don't take video evidence." We had a huge argument about it, but after like 10 minutes I just let it go. The next day I saw the moderators clan she was in ALLIED to that clan that glitched in our chests. That clan the moderator is in has also had COUNTLESS reports of their clan cheating/glitching and nothing has been done. They even invited somebody to their clan who was banned by GWEN not too long after. Staff wonder why their server is dying.. GET BETTER STAFF!

I don’t think any of this would be an issue if it wasn’t for the fear of speaking up. When a community is lead by decisions being made in a vacuum, the worst thing that can happen is that the community would rather quietly leave then fix what’s happening.
Mineplex Java can hit 4k in April, can barely hit 4k in May, can barely hit 3k or sometimes can't even in June. We've come a long way!

I and 2 of my friends play occasionally on Mineplex just to see how crappy the anticheat is. The 1v1 arena in the lobby is frequently bhoppers.
I too remember the time when Mineplex was bigger than Hypixel.
Only reason why they were even able to hit 4k was due to quarantine.

Staffs are horrible. My experiences with them (if barely) are not good. Criticism seems to be a touchy subject for Mineplex. This has always been the case even before this drama.
Also just another complaint but why is the chat censor so horrible? I get censoring words like the n word, but some of the words censored are just stupid and weird. You also can't say if someone is hacking in chat. Like what?

I hope Mineplex does nothing and they end up shutting down honestly like I don't even feel bad anymore Mineplex was a great server it was one of the first servers I've ever joined back in 2013 when I first got Minecraft and learned about servers it was also the first server I've ever donated to so Mineplex is quite special to me and it's sad to see this, but it seems like Mineplex can't get their shit together and can't adapt to changes and are just trying to do their own thing.
So yeah it's sad to see how shit Mineplex became, but it seems like they won't do anything to fix the server and anything they do the community hates because Mineplex finds a way to ruin it like the server is in the worst spot ever and they released a new rank... who asked for a new rank? who? no one that doesn't help with anything either.
If your server has actual owners and admins leaving like seriously you need to rethink everything Chiss left even though it was for health issues and other stuff he still left now AppleG left AlexTheCoder left other people are leaving so yeah honestly Mineplex is probably like the EA of servers as long as they're making a money they are going to milk the server and do whatever they can to get as much money out of it before ditching it.

As a clans player myself no one really liked grandpa, he had really interesting rules such as banning for vpn ip which is interesting as he banned off that if he detected 2 different ips on your account in clans. The pedophile part is also kind of twisted too. I don't think he banned anyone for speaking out against his rules/actions besides 9oneone for putting signs that spoke out against his clan getting banned but he got unbanned after a few hours. Grandpa did say really dodgy things and was generally hated within the clans community but he did manage to ban most of the hackers permanently but they got unbanned after dean took over as admin for a bit.
EDIT: i genuinely hope mineplex devotes more dev time to their games especially clans, its one of their most custom unique gamemodes and would be a lot more enjoyable if it was beginner friendly and a lot of things fixed about it, theres so many broken abilities on clans but you can't exactly fix that without taking the domination community into account because the code isn't separate. Mineplex is dying more than ever at this rate especially with their limited amount of devs. You could be doing so much more things than putting bug fixes on draw my thing

Interesting coincidence that a lot of these events are extremely similar to previous historic events, mainly regarding the fall of the Roman empire.
-Staff schism = Crisis of the 3rd century and ensuing instability
-Corruption = corruption (it was always a problem but significantly more so at the end of the empire)
-Lack of qualified staff members = Also crisis of the 3rd century
-Decline = decline
-Rise of Hypixel = rise of Christian dominance and foreign invaders
-Lack of staff and maintenance = overextension and unmaintainable borders
-[The biggest similarity of them all] The split of the Mineplex staff team into the Java and Bedrock teams = Split of the Roman empire into East and West.
The state of Mineplex is basically the state of the Western Roman empire in 400 CE.

It is sad that servers that are built for toxic hacking people, often have better staff teams and sometimes even better communities. Hell I have net 2b2t players nicer than mineplex players.
In 2b2t everyone is used to the toxicity so it doesn't bother anyone, and half the time it's just a joke anyways, they just say the N word not because they're toxic but because it's funny, that's how the community is

"War Point Evading" sounds like a stupid thing to be bannable. It seems like a strategy that's just part of the game, and if they don't like it, they should change it so it doesn't work that way.
Well the game also is fun with "warpoint evading". Everyone can do it and it's just part of the game.
I liked Arcade games with Parkour Map Exploits very much, but now when I can't do parkour map exploits anymore because of barrier blocks it's boring.
They fixed the clans with Grandpa issue at least which that a step. It looks like Strutt20 is a problem to I would think soon he either going to quit soon and hopefully someone from the leader teams takes over I think defek7 is fine right now. But Im hyped for Flaym as admin this could be a small pathway to a brighter future.
I used to play MCPE and bought pc minecraft for only one reason. Once Mojang decided to add microtransactions (every server I joined, including lifeboat, but especially Mineplex) I was blasted with tons of messages telling me to buy anything and everything
Mineplex always had such a unique approach when it came to creating concepts/mechanics for minigames, it really is sad to hear what happened to it. I started playing on the server around 2013 and I spent such an ungodly amount of time on it that it's not even funny. It's where I met all of my current online friends, I even watched one of them work their way up to moderator. One of the moments that really stuck with me was when the staff got really hyped when the server was peaking at ~70,000 players that they sent server-wide announcements in the form of the title command expressing their excitement. Everyone was gifted a mythical chest that day.

I've been waiting for someone to make a video like this, someone named intergalacticJC was banned because he received leaked information of a staff member talking negatively about Mineplex, he showed Chiss (the owner of Mineplex at the time) the skype logs of this (he hid the staff member's name), Chiss wanted to know who that staff member was, but intergalacticJC promised the staff member he wouldn't, so Chiss banned intergalacticJC, a while later intergalacticJC gave out the staff member's name after he resigned, he still wasn't unbanned. any threads about the situation got removed, and apparently people got muted for talking about it in chat.
A few months after this situation, someone named SlayCrafter was banned for flying, there's a bug where if you're lagging you can fly using the double jump feature, he didn't know who banned him so he asked someone named Rebel guy to help, who was a youtuber with around 8,000 subscribers, Rebel asked who his staff friend who banned Slaycrafter, and he passed the information on to Slaycrafter, Jarvis messaged Rebel and wanted to know who Rebel asked to find out who banned SlayCrafter, and if he didn't tell him that he would be Network Banned. Mineplex has some very dumb rules where staff members are not allowed to check punishment history for other players, because it's considered confidential information, however if you get banned in-game and you see the ban screen for the first time it tells you who bans you, but if you're not on the server when you get banned for you lag out, then you won't be able to see who banned you. after that, people started to get banned or muted for supporting rebel or stating their opinion on the situation, and everyone who criticized Jarvis on the forums got their thread removed, list is below, basically anything stating their opinion gets censored, Mineplex does not want people to give their honest opinions, Minplex has had a terrible history of not listening to the community, they just censor every bit of negativity, even if the negativity is constructive, even if it's not intended to be harmful. The staff who originaly helped Slaycrafter actually came out because he didn't want Rebel to get banned, of course he got demoted for trying to help players who got falsely banned, and he thought that if he came out, he would safe Rebel from getting banned. despite being given the information he wanted, Jarvis still network banned Rebel.

I knew bjd1126, I can Indeed confirm about him being really active. I was friends with him ever since bedrock started.
I'm currently optimistic with the new changes to the Clans Management team with Flaym being the new Clans Admin. He's very hardworking and is trying his best to be more transparent with the community and the subteams associated with Clans. Recently the Clans Game Insights team was merged with the community run Clans Insights team (operating out of the Mineplex Clans Discord), this will hopefully make idea processing and balancing be much smoother. Although Clans has almost always been lacking in development time, Flaym is trying as hard as he can to get the most amount of changes implemented for the next map reset.
It's quite disappointing that the owners are the true reason for the servers downfall. Hopefully Flaym can turn things around, though I have my doubts as he is not truly in control of development-just has more influence than he previously did.

There are still some moderators who regularly play on the servers and communicate with players. Back in 2014-2015, some of of the staffers I was really fond of were Bunni and DeanTM. I think Dean took some big leadership position, and Bunni can still be found occasionally throwing super fun parties at Event-1.

They just let the staff team go, one time a well known hacker from clans known as Keeks got staff. and another one known as CaptainPigmans along time ago, he used to use vape. they let cheaters be staff even if they have 5 hacking bans on there ph

Hey there, I was in the first batch of Bedrock Trainees in Mineplex, I was accepted in September 2016 and resigned as moderator in mid-2017. I was able to sense this kind of toxicity in the staff team back then, and that ultimately what led me to resign. There was always a huge disconnect between the staff team and the player base such that I felt could only end up leading to the destruction of the active and dedicated player base.
I’m so glad this was released. I saw Bjd got demoted and I was honestly confused. I worked with him on the Bedrock team in 2019 and he was a great staff member. Sad to see how Mineplex is going so far down they demoted their more liked staff members who just wanted to improve Mineplex.
I worked with him on the bedrock team during a similar time and he was always around to help me test if I needed another player. He also seemed to organize and run tests of for bugs that needed testing fine. At least the interactions I had with him were good, but I can not comment on his other responsibilities because I wasn't there to witness it.

Sucks to see this happen to what used to be my favorite server. I remember looking at the forums years ago and just being amazed by the creativity that came from the community. There were so many brilliantly unique game ideas and kit ideas that had so much support from the player base that the higher-ups didn't even care for.
I remember when mineplex was at its best. I feel really old now.

Dang I haven't played on Mineplex in a few years now. All I can remember about it is attacking the seekers in Blockhunt, lagging out a ton, and trying to build a town on that survival mode minigame, having someone else move in next to me, and then someone claiming all of the area and messing with our builds.

It's crazy how pride can cause that much trouble. Simon from Hypixel does pretty well with criticism and is very active and known in the community. Mineplex has some space to grow, and I hope they can do it.

Staff culture is one of the worst parts about mineplex, I swear to GOD it's so awful
there have been so many times where I've had TOTAL PROOF ( i.e, claim, then video footage, then past history of hacking) against someone, and yet they still weren't banned. The worst part? the fact that most of these times were with a mod/senior mod in the game. It just never changes. And then, the worst part? They thought that, even with this much trouble and abuse happening, changing the menu back to the original style would bring people back. It's fricking sad.
Its always been bad, I became Trainee (when it was called helper) way back 2015 or 2016, but even then, a lot of staff internally really didn't care about the players, it was all just some status thing, being staff in the biggest Minecraft server. Eventually it just became difficult to work and communicate with higher up staff because of this, and there was no point trying to integrate myself into it. The only staff member that would talk and actually care that I had major contact with was my mentor and a few Senior Mods. Its not something you generally thrive in, and so I resigned three weeks later
I play mineplex clans on the daily and ive noticed these things before. They pay absolutely no attention to new trends and the community, and staff is so corrupt. It's sad. oh wait- i probably shouldnt be saying this before i get network banned.

I remember Alex the coder... I might be the reason for his resignation... I once as a joke pointed out the fact to him that the staff aren’t paid or even rewarded for their work. And then offered out of pocket to compensate for their time.
I used to staff a much smaller server, but I find it super funny how similar the issues are. It’s literally the exact same thing as my server which only has around 20 players online at any given time
The deepest trenches have the greatest differences. With a lot of the underlying issues coming to the surface, I hope all of the community and staff members of Mineplex can make the biggest turnaround and turn a new leaf 🍃

There’s pretty much no anticheat and if you have a copy of the game you can log in on a different Microsoft account that are free to make

Mineplex is one of the rare servers I've never had any problems with. Hypixel banned my account for "suspicious activity" TWICE without me even playing on it, some German servers have toxic mods and connection issues.
Well the mods probably wanted to become an artist and got told to be an architect :P
I play in bedrock mineplex and I see some people like lagging and there suck in the air and then they just get banned and this happended to me I was stuck in the air and then I got banned.

I actually know this problem firsthand. I have a rather younger friend (barely old enough to be staff) and had applied and gotten accepted. (there are a few more steps but there is a very high chance of him becoming a trainee). The times i have played with him he has often hackusated totally legit players and reported them. It almost worries that he very well may be getting staff.

I've been playing bedrock since 2013 and one of the problems I have is the fact that accusing or trying to report a hacker required a website info because "it was bannable" and that you can leave games even if your entire party wasn't finished and your entire team goes with the leader which was pretty annoying escpially if your team was about to win

Haven’t been part of this community for years so interesting your video popped up for me. Interesting watch to be fair! My opinion (albeit very outdated) is that the server fell apart when the OGs Chiss, Spu and Sterling_ took a back seat and hired others to do their work. I’ve had similar experiences with people mentioned in this video years ago, it’s super interesting to see they haven’t changed one bit.

So i wanted to make a statement regarding the bedrock issues, so as said in the video, the whole thing where the stuff was shared was in a discord server, which i'm one of the community members who are in that discord server, and i'll tell you that day that all demotions occured, it was painful, a bunch of things happened that day and we were all on our devices almost the entre morning and afternoon. It was painful to see all of lose their positions, one by one, and for ridiculous reasons, ". That day many people recieved warnings and were censored for posts, that had no bad content, it was simply asking for some change, the first post was removed, and by whom? Well it was none other then a leader.
So i wanted to make a statement of my participation in this, so after discovering who was the one who told higher staff that happened, we knew that this staff has a past where he has hacked in servers, and afked dragons (which is basically stat boosting/abusing a game), the staff who reported us claimed that he did it because "his morals" which is so hypocritical if he hacked and afked dragons, now because of that i thought, "oh so let me give him advice" thus i went to his wall, and asked him if could not afk dragons, as "its against my morals" other ppl followed and posted other stuff in the staff's wall, the staff deleted our posts, and locked his wall, because of this i was banned in a discord server owned by an un-named forum ninja, he banned me for "harrasment" and i was told that after banning us, he proceeded to say the statement "don't test me", i was disgusted as how i was treated, in no way was i harrasing the staff member, nor wanted to, and i had no reason to be banned there over something that happened in the forums, i was told that the fn said that we could Pm them regarding the bans, however i will not nor want to, i was and am disgusted as to how i was treated there, after being in this server for 4 years i have never been treated in such a disgusting way. In addition i was just told that someone posted a link to this video in that server, and the un-named fn removed the video and said, i quote "Na. That doesn't belong here." I find that absolutely ridiculous.

I didn't trash talk him, i went to his wall and said to please not afk dragons, because it goes against my morals, thats not trash talking or harrasment
God. I poured so much of my childhood into this server. What a mess it has turned into. Honestly. I agree with pretty much all the reasons about why mineplex has gone downhill, but by far, this one is one of the most prevalent issues. There were good mods out there, without a doubt, and they should be acknowledged (I know for sure, I had one as a friend but he was demoted and planned to quit due to mental health issues) but I encountered way more infuriating experiences. I got a few punishments for saying idiotic things ( This was when I was 11-13, so I'm not surprised and I accept most of the punishments) but some were outright ridiculous, if not abusive. One day, I was in a bridges match and I told someone to 'shutup' - turns out bad luck for me, it was a mod. I was warned of course, I'm not debating whether I deserved it or not because yeah, I shouldnt've said that. But guess what the mod said to me? "You messed with the wrong person." If that isn't showing the mod is getting a kick out of their power, I don't know what is. (I once reported this to a mod who said they'd look into it and they never did, and I forgot the name because it was a lot of random jumbled characters).
Another time, I was on a Snr Mod's MPS, with about 6-8~ staff on at the time. I kept asking and dming different mods asking for help (due to another hacker in mb) , the Snr mod and all but 1 mod ignored me, I believe it was only the trainee or newer mod who said I'd get help soon. No help after 30 minutes. I left and went to go play something else with my friends, and I sure did rant about how I was basically ignored. I got messaged by the Snr mod, who pretty much laughed at what I said and said she was busy (she was LITERALLY playing on her MPS with other staff). Nice invasion of privacy!
Again, another time, i was in a Dom match with 2 of my friends. An argument started between us and another person, who was insulting us for being 'bad' (typical toxicity between 12-13 year olds lol). Anyway it ended up with us /reporting him and he did the same to us. He swore at us a few times, and we all just called him 'stupid'. Guess what? He got no mute, and I got a 1 DAY MUTE (It stacked from my old punishments from when I was younger, but I'm sorry this is ridiculous). My friends also got punished. Once again, bias is shown.
It got to the point that, when I was playing Clans again briefly a while back (I got heavy into clans when it came out Day 1 in Alpha, played it regularly until about 2018), I was witnessing hackers daily, and I even knew people who knew how to get appeals instantly accepted and so on (through contacts....). I witnessed so many ways in which people jumped through loopholes and got away with it.............
I've been false banned for hacking (due to lag, but my appeal was accepted), had terrible lag my whole time on this server, spent about 4 years playing it and now witnessed it fall apart. Honestly, I would appeal and speak about a lot of this but I know I'll just get banned, and when I did try to speak out when I was younger (obviously my wording wasn't as good and I wasn't experienced with recording programs), I was mostly ignored.
But I can never forget the friends I've made (I still have friends from the server to this day), the memories, and the things i experienced and enjoyed.
But I stopped mineplex a long time ago now. A pity that its fallen from grace, though even when I was younger I could see the cracks forming. Heck, I nearly even considered becoming a mod a good few times. I think I dodged a bullet there.....
I don't have much hope for the server anymore, considering I rarely play minecraft these days but I wish it the best (as long as all the bad weeds are picked out and things are cleared up, quite optimistic I know).

This entire video gives me flashbacks to when I was a DarkRP Manager.
I was permanently banned from the place, why? Here's why. The owner decided to bring in a 16 year old kid who had been permanently banned, twice, actually, more like a restraining order. He was exiled from entering the discord, server, and forums. Boosted him into the staff team, without any qualifications, nor meeting the requirement, then boosted him further to be a Community Manager, essentially Co-Owner. This took place across a few days. He was higher position than me, in a few days, and I'd been doing my thing there for longer than any other. I went through multiple owners, multiple community managers, and thousands of cases.
He then went and ditched the server for multiple weeks, to play other games instead, the single developer was annoyed, he wasn't being paid, he wasn't being treated well, and there was now a moron with just as much power as him. In essence, he said, "get your shit together, or I'm leaving" he left. I sided with the developer, and asked multiple staff members what they thought about the action to make this child with a bad history Co-Owner. Everyone stated that it was a terrible idea, 2 said they don't care and wish to remain neutral. I grabbed them and a few others that were associated to express this to him, I got slapped with a demotion, then brought back up in a lower rank. By this point I'm getting sick, alot are, player numbers are on a horrible decline, barely breaking 10 a day, people are being ignored, and no updates for 4 months with little communication, or broken promises. The developer goes to make his own version of the server, since, he was the original programmer, but, so he can't be hit with a DMCA, he made sure to rewrite it all on his own. He asked me, "Can you ask a few others what they enjoyed about the server, I want to get this right".
Being a good friend, I forward his message to one person and get permanently banned from all platforms. His reason? I lead a "witch hunt" against him, I didn't, it was conducted in a private call, and it was a "look, we want to say, we don't like what you're doing, and we think it's a bad idea" meeting, and he didn't want people associated with the developer in the community. i.e, I got everything taken for talking to someone he does not like. I had *alot* of friends there, and I can't talk to them again. Shame.

I just found this channel, and these mineplex videos remind me of when I had just returned to Minecraft after a several year break last year. As mineplex was the most popular server when I left, it was the first one I joined. I think the first game i played was skyward, and I got flyhacked on immediately, discouraging and causing me to shift over to hypixel which is my main server today. Returning players are going to be very disappointed with mineplex, and perhaps you could make a video about how returning players (after the Minecraft revival last year) were unhappy with the old great, mineplex.
I have wanted to try mine-strike there (as it is the only place that has had it), but after this I wish somewhere else had it
