Yeah i noticed it..i thought it would be the other way around. But it works pretty much the same (better than using your fingers only), just different design. Love her for that 😅
I don't even know why you need to wear foundation. Your skin is flawless and glowing. If my skin looked like yours, I would just wear a tinted lip balm and mascara and be done.
as someone who likes going out with and without makeup, it helps ur makeup stay longer. i tried going without foundation once, and found out my blush/contour didn't last half as long. hehe
@@aintnobodylikeu exactly. There's a reason its called "base makeup" and not "make yourself not ugly" makeup. Its just to make the fun stuff last longer, not because you need it to make your skin flawless. I guess if all you wear is mascara and lip balm then sure, just don't wear makeup, but if you wear blush or eye makeup then you'll need something to put under it.
@@SylverScourge It also evens out skin tone to get a blank canvas going for the fun stuff to really pop. Because even the people with the best skin are going to have tonal variations throughout the different parts of their face. It's literally impossible for skin to be a single colour naturally
eeeee we have the same last name! fun fact: there was only one moon dynasty in Korea like a really long time ago so everyone that’s of Korean descent with the last name “moon” (문) is related by their some sort of great grandparents, great great grandparents or great great great grandparents (etc.)
Girl what lol there are 47 clans (본관) of Moon.. And what is this dynasty you're talking about..? The Jeonju Yi clan ruled the last dynasty from the 1300s, and if you go back further than that, practically all of us are related. Example: 1 in 200 men in the world are direct descendants of Gengis Khan, who was born in the 1200s. And that's just one person.
You absolutely can. I do the same (just make sure it has a smooth edge). The type of foundation is more important than the exact tool you use - the foundation should be one that doesn't dry down very quickly. For this reason, dewy finish foundations are generally easier than matte to apply via spatula
The blade that MUAs have purchased from the beginning of times and used to pick, mix and endless purposes? Yes😊. But this is the fancy trendy "we discovered America" overpriced version😅
The silver "old" one is a dental tool..called a spatula🧏🏽♀️ it's used with a glass slab or on different mixing papers to combine cements or restorative materials.
if you just blend it out after like you would any other application method, what makes this method of application better to say, a brush or a sponge? genuine question
I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong but the spatula doesn’t work well for me… I have textured skin and it doesn’t glide over all the bumps too well.. also makes the bumps more notice as the thin layer just dries partially before I blend it with the cushion
i used to have the same prob, i've found that skipping concealer and going with a colour corrector instead + waiting for ur foundation to get tacky before blending out for fuller coverage minimizes creasing a LOT. essentially the solution is to use significantly less product !
I just directly use a face powder for under eyes. I use blush to colour correct so I don't have to use so much face powder. If I need heavier coverage, I use a skin colour eye primer, since it's literally designed to never crease despite the eyelid constantly folding when you blink
I know this is probably a dumb question, but I’m asking anyway because I just prefer using a foundation brush over sponge. Can you apply with the Korean spatula & blend with the Real Techniques Expert Face brush & still get a flawless, natural finish, or do you have to use a sponge to get that finish?
In theory it would probably work…? You might just have to adjust how you blend so that it’s no patchy or streaky … but patting to blend with a sponge or cushion does give a nicer even finish But if you can blend well with a brush you should be fine lols
I've never worn makeup but watching you apply that foundation with the spatula is SSSSSSSSATISFYINGGGGG
WHAT
are you 10???

Finally someone who doesn't say 'You totally need the new one' 😅 you deserve more love ❤ for being honest

Gotta have flawless skin like her first.

To blend the products into. Its harder to get blush to not be patchy over naked skin in my experience, you want a base to put it on top of.

I have still not used my foundation sponge, and here the trend has gone to a new kind of spatula 😭
😂 haha! Here i am thinking that i am the only one!!😅
Girl, same😂
Honestly, beauty sponges are kinda crap anyways bc they absorb all of the product lol
spatulas acc have been around in east asian beauty for a while !!
@@beckag7698 yeah. it's only good for getting that airbrushed blended out finish, not for application per se
This works only if you don't have bumpy skin
The new spatula foundation application looks better ❤
Is this the same situation as the blue belt from devils wear prada? Cause babe i cant see the different
Yeah, it looks better on the side with the newer one.
I agree. The new one gave a little more product as she swiped it so it blended out better while still looking natural
It just looks thicker...... Which is the opposite of what she said she wanted, and the opposite of what they're for in general I suppose.
@@bosoudangthere was such a big difference between the blue belts in the devil wears prada…
I just use my fingers. Easy, best application, costs 0€ and always clean after washing.
haha same here plus i have textured skin
The second did better on the skin but I somehow love the long spatula more!
Girl i can see the difference, the gold one definitely looks smoother
It looks like a mini arab sword 😮
I liked the 2nd one better 😂
Yo the new spatula side looked bomb! Just saying ❤
me: *grabs butter knife*
Lol Picasso has one that looks exactly like the em cosmetics one and then another one that’s more of a guasha type looke

What is the spoon for?
@@ree3197 You can use the tail (handle) of the spoon as a spatula

I’ve used the same Ben Nye spatula since I was 19. Never lets me down
Can I just use a butter knife?
Omg ..yes , go for it 😂🤣
Yes absolutely.
yep, it works the exact same LMAO

Wow this is so helpful tysm ❤
you really didn't need foundation. you are so beautiful without makeup 😍

I have blemished skin and I absolutely love using the makeup spatula. It does give me a smooth coverage and it gives me my skin, but better
Application on the new one looks better but they’re both good!
Girlfriend, you don't need foundation, you are blessed with a gorgeous complexion!!!!
Wow your skin is so flawless.
IDK why but... I looooooooooooooooove this video. I keep on watching it over and over again.
It’s feel good to watch people wear makeup unlike me who doesn’t wear makeup 😂
So flawless skin
My most natural makeup tip is just to not wear makeup. Thats the absolute most natural way you can get your skin to look.
I've always wanted a spatula omg
Your skin is soo beautiful!

It' s the same used for oil painting also, the one that we (MUAs) have always bought at fine arts stores😅
i think i still prefer just using the cushion and dabbibg the extra on the lid for thin coverage

Btw you don't even need it your skin is perfect.❤
I never tried a spatula for foundation..
I will give it a go!
Nice! Now I want to buy one!!
I think the difference between the two is that the gold spatula applies the foundation a tiny bit thicker than the silver one.
LMAO THAT BEAUTY BLENDER SUCKED IT ALL UP

love the new spatula and I love your makeup stayle I apply how u do so it really helps me thanks ♥️
I love her honest opinion
The “new” spatula is for cushion foundations :)
I've just been using a butter knife 😙
you can also use the blunt end of a butter knife!
Steel spoon at my home✨
Jen, your bare skin already awesome! 😭
I just bought the old spatula from Shein❤❤
The original piccasso spatula finally arrived in Japan😅. Im glad I can try it now

okay, I think I need the new one
No the gold one looks better because well….
It’s ✨gOld✨
I just use the metal spoons at home
been using a butter knife and now I feel validated.
what I'm interested is what kind of foundation is that you're using? that
A good skin is still the best make up though
At least shes honest and realistic without trying ro sell us the product lol

i think your sponge absorbed the teeny bit amount that u put using spatula
The back of the knife dose the same yall so fancy
I don't even know when the old one came out 😅
So, do u always use the sponge after the spatula, or.did u only do.that on the new spatula side?
Are you telling me that the all time double ended spatula that absolutely every MUA uses for so many purposes has become an overprized tool? 🤯
Your skin look really good why do you need foundation ? ❤
But what about some device to hold the device that will hold the spatula?
So a butter knife would work or a paint sparula
Aaaaabsolutely YES😊
