Hi, your wilderness videos are great. Is your wilderness course similar to the Red Course Wilderness Survival certification/ extension? Im thinking of signing up for your course to learn more in-depth info.
Thank you. I am thrilled you are enjoying the videos. Most all WFA courses follow the same curriculum. I added some bonus content to include Open Pneumothorax, Gunshot Wounds, Illness Assessment and common viral and bacterial illnesses found in the wilderness environment. You can view the curriculum covered in the WFA Course here: tinyurl.com/4dpdypbm. Rather than enroll in the course, you can also view all course presentations and enjoy the workflow diagrams by purchasing the course book Wilderness First Aid Made Easy - Sixth Edition at Amazon here: tinyurl.com/y5y8rpzc. Each workflow diagram includes a QR Code where you can scan on your phone or tablet and view a video presentation that describes each workflow diagram.
@schooloffirstaid2643 awesome thank you! Great content, I currently teach a high school elective red cross basic first aid & cpr/aed certification class. The students like the class, so next year, I'm offering the red cross wilderness first aid course as well. I didn't love the red cross WFA material and presentations. I find your information & videos much better. I'm learning so much more from you,so thanks for the great content. I may take your wilderness survival course just to really take a deep dive and get some good teaching ideas for next year's wilderness elective class.
I have worked with several high school teachers like yourself who are teaching WFA to their students. Please feel free to reach out to me at jeff@schooloffirstaid.com. I'd like to send you a free copy of the book to help you prepare to teach the course. The workflow diagrams presented in the order that they are used makes learning (and remembering) WFA much easier. I appreciate your effort to bring first aid education to your students. My pleasure to support you.
