Having owned a CBE Engage and now an Axcel Landslyde - the upgrade to the Landslyde is day and night difference in terms of getting the most adjustment and range out of my tape. I'm shooting 65 pounds, 29.5 inches, and ~ 480 grain hunting arrow, with the CBE Engage and UV 3 double pin, I was bottoming out at 85-87 yards with my bottom pin and thanks to more vertical and tape adjustment with the Landslyde I am bottoming out deadnuts at 100 with the same arrow and no peep manipulation. When setting my "starting point" when making a tape, I center the scope at 40-50. What potentially could make this even easier and fun to tinker with would be the purchase of the Axcel Achieve XR mounting plate, which should be adaptable to all Axcel carbon bar sights.
That Landslide definitely is more adjustable than CBE. I'm using an HHA now that I'm posting a review on soon. I think that new dialed Arxos sight probably allows for the most range on the market, but would rather have a landslide myself.
My pro shop guy, I think intentionally screwed me over. He did not like that I switched from Hoyt to Matthews and I was new to this for a few months. He set my peep really low. And I have to dip my head down. To see my pens. And I brought it up to the guy and he said. Oh, don't worry about it. But you were shooting better with the" Hoyt" And I knew nothing at that time about proper peep height. He said it was the The new bow that I am using Matthews, That was 17 years ago and now that I'm getting back into it and all this information on the internet. And now my eyes are open. I am doing adjustments.

Would a higher peep height result in a shorter sight tape?
Longer tape. Tighter trajectory.
There is usually weights on the string to gain speed, so i dont think your peep is slowing down your bow.
