Peter Lorre (Dr. Einstien) tended to do creepy roles, especially in the 1960s when he worked with Vincent Price with a few of Roger Corman's Poe films. Just a master actor from start to finish-- His performance in Fritz Lang's 'M' is fantastic.

Jonathan being compared to Boris Karloff and him trying to kill anyone who says so is a running joke because originally Boris Karloff played the part of Jonathan Brewster in the Broadway play.

'North By Northwest' and 'Arsenic and Old Lace' are my two favourite Cary Grant movies. Its all downhill from here; just kidding there are plenty more greats. The joke about Boris Karloff is that he actually played the part of Jonathan Brewster on the stage, and Raymond Massey (Jonathan in this movie) looks reasonably like him. They both had played Frankenstein's monster in the past.
