Me I'm from Haiti. My parents used to do worse than that. They used to take a piece of paper any paper at all. It could be tissue, toilet paper, napkins. They would light up the paper and put it dip inside my ears then I will hear noise coming out and that's how they treat it.
I'm from the Caribbean, the oil is used when you get water trapped in your ear. It usually displaces the water and the water rises to the outer ear and easily flows out when you turn your head. It doesn't work if water's not the problem though. Love your vids!
Tia!!!! My Nana (Grandma) used to do that to our ears!! Warm olive oil and a cotton ball and I never got an ear infection! It works and that’s so awesome how your Mom did it! My family is Hispanic so it’s awesome to see different cultures do it, too! Love you Tia and your beautiful family!
@@TiaMowrysQuickFix she is a real beauty . I enjoy watching your cooking videos and other family videos of you and your hubby , son and daughter , parents and siblings . Seem like a good loving family ❤️😘
I loveeeee your personality your so down to earth and different from most celebrities and the way you raise your children too such an amazzzzing mom ..please dont ever change always stay true to yourself 🙏i really enjoy watching these videos ..i never had anyone show me how to cook growin up and i learn so much from you so thankyou for sharing these easy yet heartfelt recipies of deliciousness 🙏❤
This video came just in time, nursing my babies and me back to health from having Covid. Yes I remember my mom dropping warm laid in me and my siblings ears too when we had earaches. I wish I could remember what it was too lol. Thank you for sharing ❤️ Many blessings to you Ave your beautiful family.
Can totally relate to the oil in ear remedy. My mum used to gently warm up some olive oil and place a few drops in my ear to help alleviate sore throat and related cold symptoms. I’m from South Asia and this is a very common home remedy. I’m watching this for inspiration on making a chicken soup for my sick kids and you just took me right back to my childhood with this one 💕 🤗
Cairo has grown so much. It's so wonderful to see her in the video with you. She's beautiful Tia, just like her mom. Continue to shine, Sis'. God bless you and your family!
We grew up on chicken and rice soup when we were sick and now I make it for my kids. They love it. Your soup looks delicious too! We grew up rubbing Vicks all over our chest, neck, bottom of the feet and sometimes our “bottom” and if we had an earache, Vicks on a cotton ball in our ear until it was better. Sounds crazy but it all works so well. My young adult kids still do it when they’re sick. Thanks for sharing with us! Much love 💗
I was born in the 60’s so Ik all about that sweet oil!! Cotton balls work really well in keeping the air from getting in the ear. You can put the oil on the cotton ball if you want
I once chewed a raw clove of garlic as I was told it would help my toothache, by far one of the foulest things I've ever tasted in my life, but it worked. Also this looks delicious I am absolutely cooking this.
I love Caio’s yummy dance. She’s adorable. The soup did look delish. I’ve never put lemon in chicken noodle soup, but I’m definitely going to now because of you. I really enjoy watching you cook anything. It’s always such a joyful experience. See you in the next Quick Fix. God Bless.
Cairo is so beautiful! She has grown so much! I need to make some chicken noodle soup for me and my daughter because it is really cold here in Georgia. I remember my mom would put sweet oil in my ears and it worked! Thanks for the video! It is such a pleasure! 🥰 ❤️ ❤️

Yay, Cairo! She's the cutest lol. The soup looked good, soup is too damn light for me now so I barely eat it. I'm hungry again in an hour, but I would be down for trying that chicken noodle soup.
Love you and your family, Tia! You seem to bring out the best in everyone. Thanks for being your true authentic self. God bless you and your family 👪! 💕💕

Hey Tia! My mum is Turkish and she used to heat olive oil, put it on a cotton bud and then put it inside our ear when we were sick. She told us it was an old Turkish remedy lol.
Tia I am from the Bahamas too and when the weather is cold or rainy and it is flu season we make peas soup and dough. Can you do a show on how to make it? Also, you know in the Bahamas we always cook peas and rice on Sundays for dinner. Can you do another show on a traditional Bahamian Sunday dinner? I would love it! 🏝🥣
My dad did for me but would add garlic cloves...my dad is everything ayvedic since before I was born. He believe nature has provided all remedies. I'm not 55 yrs and he still is same. Never eat meat...never smoked or ever dad alcohol. Hes amazing
Sweet oil Tia! My Mom used to use the same oil on my ears. I had recurring ear infections growing up and my Mom would take a spoon and pour the sweet oil then hold it over the burner of our stove. Then she would drop it into my ear. It did feel worse at first, but the next day my ears would be clear. This soup looks so delicious, I’m going to try this recipe. How adorable is Cairo🥰!
I love chewing on ginger also cloves inside of olives. I make chicken soup weekly in the winter months. I'm going to add ginger and garlic. Thanks from Canada

Cairo is adorable. I love me some chicken soup too when I am sick. So many are getting sick these days. You are so right that the males tend to not do well when they are sick. I could not fool my parents about being sick either 😀.
Tia, it was probably Sweet Oil and a cotton ball to keep the oil from completely draining. That’s what my Mom used. The faking sick did not work in our household either bc that thermometer always came out!!! Chicken Noodle or Vegetable Soup are my absolute fav! I absolutely love your family and the way you incorporate your family’s traditions into your quick fixes!
The warm oil ( olive oil)mixd with tea tree oil really works. I've tried it a few times. I started getting earaches as an adult for some reason. Maybe do to allergies. I found the recipe online when I googled natural remedies for earaches.
My parents did it for me and my brothers ears, it's sweet oil and it suppose to ease the pain and help with healing followed by a cotton ball to keep it from running out..the good ol days🤗, I did the same for my children who r grown with their own children🙏🏾❤️🤗
