This band has saved my life over the past 20 years. I Saw them live in Tucson in 96 and have seen them several times since up until the summer of 2016 when I finally met Ed Roland and thanked him in person for many years of soulful music. I received only a smile and a huge/ picture, but it was worth the wait....God Bless this exceptional band and all its patrons
I first heard Collective Soul on the Howard Stern show many years ago. I have been a fan since that day and buy all of their cds. This video always makes my eyes tear up. Little boy watching Dad, adulthood, and passing the legacy on to your own child. Plus I am a sucker for rooftop performances!! Collective Soul are an awesome band!!
There was a song being played in one of the big home centers that I'd never heard before and just knew it was Ed's vocals. Shazam and yes, it was Collective Soul. Downloaded and straight to my playlist. Awesome!

We just heard it in Big Lots today. I asked my husband who is this. He said Collective Soul. I was like yes I was right!! We just saw Collective Soul recently met Ed got a picture with him. What a great time at The Cameo Bristol VA.
First saw this video around 2012. It was very poignant to me, because I and my own son were alienated in those years. Me, white haired older guy wanting to impart support and whatever wisdom I had. Him, taller, curly haired and needing those things. Hoping and praying that we'd talk again some day. And we have been, for nearly 6 years. Sadness gave way to sunrise.
Don't get me wrong I like collective soul but the heavier side such as welcome all again better now and there's a way. Can someone point me on the way to the songs that sound like theses i mentioned
Why Pt. 2 is one of their best heavier songs. Heavy rocks, Where the River Flows is similarly heavy. See What You Started By Continuing has a great blend of heavy and light, like Contagious and one of my personal favorites, Hurricane (though it’s a bit lighter)
Yeah I listen to Collective Soul too but I hear all of you talking about God and everything and Collective Soul and God bless them they don't mention one word about God or Jesus in any of their music and what about the satan symbol on their album huh duh huh
