    There is an air purge plug on the elbow of the coolant hose where it enters to top drivers side of the engine. Takes a 10mm socket. This purge plug should be cracked open or completely removed as you drain coolant or you will not get all the old coolant out. In reverse, plug should be left open as you fill the radiator w new coolant until coolant exits this purge hole. Otherwise, yes, you will have lots of air in your circulating coolant. Follow top radiator hose to where it enters the engine and on that elbow you will find the purge plug. Just did mine this morning.

      Fouled radiator reducing coolant circulation? Bad/corroded pump impellers reducing coolant circulation?

    Thanks for this video I’m going to try it on my Polaris ranger 500 that is losing fluid through the weep hole

      If it's coming out the weep hole then your water pump has a shot internal gasket and needs replaced, just helping the Internet if anyone sees this.

      @@benjaminbills1998 so my machine is over heating. I found that the coolant did bubble up and I've lost coolant out of the weep hole as well. How can I be certain what is causing this problem???
      Is there a way to test the pump to be certain that's the problem??

    • @benjaminbills1998
      @benjaminbills1998 3 месяца назад

      @Everydaycarry1911 your weep hole would only leak if your seal on the water pump is bad. I'd change that but look at the condition of the coolant check for severe contamination, once the water pump is replaced I'd check operation. If the coolant is contaminated it could be head gaskets, you could do a compression test and I'd change thermostat while it's taken apart as well.

    Why the f doesn't Polaris put in a temperature gauge? I think mine is overheating but dealer says no gauge available, but smells hot most of the time, and runs terrible .. misses, stalls, backfires, shoves you out the back when it does catch and hit.
