17:26 This is why I click on the piece, then click on the destination square. Picking up the pieces and moving them is not a good idea when playing rapid. In two years of playing, I have yet to do a mouse slip.
How to easily beat 1700s in chess: 1. make a plan for critical moments 2. find complex tactics within 3 seconds or less Easy! Seriously, these are really nice videos. I love seeing how you analyze complex positions. It's hard getting over the hump between openings and endgames, and these videos help me seeing how to find a path forward, even if it can be challenging in practice.
I originally commented that after black moved nf4 at 14:22, white rd8+, black kg7, white could win a rook by nh5, forking black's rook and king. However, I removed that comment after both wisetree and Alessia correctly pointed out that this combination would not work because black's knight on f4 covers the h5 square. Thanks to them for correcting me, and to Alessia for being such a good teacher, charming and entertaining, and very gracious.
Excellent presentation as usual. Enjoyed watching this one and trying to work out what I would do as you explained your thoughts. Also loved the thumbnail!
I loved the first game. All logical and not much of memorised lines and lecture on opening theory. Loved it! And, great players also mouse slip sometimes, huh? 😂
I had full empathy when you mouse slipped because I did it myself today - I was on the brink of checkmate so went from heaven to hell in a single moment 😢
I will be very happy if Alessia will do this everyday. So entertaining and informative. I wish you all the best ❤️.

Spoiler: it's going to happen

Her approach is so easy to understand. I'm winning more games and even games where I get in trouble I'm finding way to swindle.
Amazing video! Plz make more of this explaining every move.

Well, it was checkmate (after the mouseslip)
I had full empathy when you mouse slipped because I did it myself today - I was on the brink of checkmate so went from heaven to hell in a single moment 😢
That was terrible but it happens! Hope you went back to heaven after a bit 😊

I'm great with tactics and open positions, but I don't really understand positional play, which is why I learned a lot here already
That's cool! Thank you
ciao, the critical moment of this video was the incredible thumbnail big props to the artist.
Not a bad channel. Ability to describe verbally move by move. A decent, sometimes detailed description compared to some of the elites.
I always crumble in critical moments, this video is for me 😂
Let's go! Hope it helps
We are learning so much from your videos. Keep it UP. Let's GO!
