    100% you are not preaching - I was a Rospa Gold motorcycle Instructor for 12 years in Edinburgh. Must have witnessed every type of rider and skill level, to the point where I could pre-empt their moves on the road. Its good to pass on your knowledge to other bikers, where you can, keeps everyone safe

    As a new rider I find the riding tips very helpful especially with over taking as it is not something that came up in my training so I have tried to learn from the videos you did on the bike safe course you took. Looking out for road signs and side roads etc have kept me more safe than I would have been so cheers.

    A great episode Bruce, well done for showing the memorials on your travels through Bosnia. I’m guilty as most for not really knowing what went on and how it all happened so it’s seeing these videos push’s to find out more.
    Sometimes it’s a shit world we live in where the egos of a handful of old men can cause such misery for millions. 😢

    Hi Bruce. Stopping while on a roundabout was something I was warned about when we hired a motorcycle in Malta in 1988. No one rushed or cut you up, brilliant! And if you saw a vehicle coming at you on your side of the road, nothing personal, they were just getting out of the sun we was warned 🤣🤣🤣...

    Well, I had a memory lane motorcycle trip planned there in 2023. Due to unfortunate circumstances, didn't happen. That brought back some memories... I remember the day the UN Grave Diggers found the 1st bones. I was in the U.S. Army MP Platoon stationed at Camp Lisa by Vlasenica responsible for the security of the UN grave diggers. Spent a lot of time in the turrent and driver's seat as a young E-4 admiring the breathtaking views and a lot of the same thoughts running thru my helmet as the one's you mentioned. Different helmet though. Probably wrote too much publicly already.... Thanks for the memory lane tour, Mate!! Good to see the improvements after 30 years and still some not. Just wish it had more influence on mankind not to keep making the repeated mistakes of history. Bottom line though, nothing changes. When diplomats, economics, politicians and religions fail, they send young men to "fix" the problems they created...
    Thanks again Bruce!!

      100% right bud, I don’t that will ever change sadly.
      But on a positive note, the area is beautiful, the people you meet are friendly and welcoming, I’d have zero concerns going back and exploring more myself on a bike, and hopefully I can work out the time to do exactly that.
      Get your trip there back up and running bud👍

    Loved the potted history of the conflict, I’ve learned something new, thank you 👍. I’ve been to the Nazi concentration camps, and the killing fields of Cambodia it’s just so sad😢 we will never learn it’s usually individual greed at the bottom of it all.

    • @teapotone
      @teapotone  13 дней назад +1

      Aye but what astounds me is that it is ‘normal’, every day people like you and I who carry out these deeds - we may not make the decision to instigate it all, but it is normal people who do the actual atrocities to other normal people - how does that happen?!
      But, I suppose we’ve all just come through the last situation globally where we tolerated being told to stay home, told to wear ‘masks’ that didn’t actually do anything, told to watch as our businesses went under… and a lot of people did just that🤷‍♂️ It seems we can be very ‘sheep-like’ doesn’t it, we just follow orders and very few question them.

    In Bosnia, all three sides suffered. Serbs, Muslims and Croats. If you want to engage in politics and present data, it would be fair to mention the suffering of other peoples as well. You pass through the town of Vlasenica and mention how Serbs committed crimes there, but you don't know that Muslims committed them too.
    My advice to you is to travel and enjoy yourself and not get involved in politics.

      I feel that your point valid as lived through but teapot doesn't have that advantage of personal experiences so can only rely on information to hand as a snap shot of issue not a Chronical of events. Well done Bruce with not only vids but presenting further information with limited resources and time.

      @teapotone  12 дней назад +2

      @Identifikator.s - please accept my apologies, I’d assumed by your username that you were probably a bot account but I see now you’re an actual person. You’ve experienced this terrible war first hand so obviously have knowledge that I don’t. As stated by my reply, I don’t profess to be an all-knowing entity of this or any subject, I give my personal opinions and thoughts in my videos, and hope others will do their own research if they want to find out more.
      As with everything in life, there are a multitude of sides to any story or event.
      Cheers

    Just be Patient???? Your second overtake was just down right Dangerous! You had to be doing 70mph +???? No speed to react when you want to stay alive. I am Advanced Rider and driver. That was down right dangerous fatal on a lesser powered bike!!! You would failed ANY advanced test simple as. Add the unknown of riding opposite side, not familiar with road or traffic very dangerous.

    • @teapotone
      @teapotone  14 дней назад +9

      Rubbish. Your attitude is what gives advanced riders the often maligned reputation the topic attracts. I was perfectly happy with the overtake and had taken the bikes performance into account after over a thousand miles of constant riding on it, in every weather and road type.
      I had the vision, I had the space to come in if required, absolutely nothing wrong with it.

    • @swt0846
      @swt0846 12 дней назад +1

      I believe that every manoeuvre is carried out with in the limits of the riders experience and knowledge. I believe Bruce has the experience to have made that move considering all factors bike, road and traffic conditions and I see nothing wrong with that overtake and on my bike would have done the same. The space in between the lorries being the pull in if required coming off the power on the bike with the lorries continuing at speed would facilitate that

      Like i said you would never be accepted as a Safe Rider by the Police or any other riding authority. Make sure you have very good insurance especially in those Countries. Have a good one!! Publishing Riding Lunacy must be the latest thing?
