    Jon Favreau took a major risk with casting Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark and it turned out to be the best decision ever

      It was destiny tbh. There's just simply nobody who could have played Tony as well as Robert. Especially because they had many similarities from the start and Marvel always let's the actors forge the characters by improvising or suggesting scenes.

      @@ot7biasedmashups Downey, Jr. is a personal hero. He had roles as a younger man but his career really took off in middle age. also he got into recovery after many years as the butt of a joke.

      I’ve just finished watching them all (besides black widow until it’s on Disney+) and even though I’d seen 5-10 of them before I’d forgotten what happened in most, love them

    Fun fact: "I am iron Man", probably his most iconic line, was originally ad-libbed by Downey, he really was supposed to stick to the cards. I think we all thank heaven he didn't, eh?

    Rhodey's actor will change after this movie so don't be confused about it.
    It would've been fun to see an Incredible Hulk reaction but yeah, watching it doesn't really matter in the larger scheme of things

      It ties in a little with Shang chi and will more so when she-hulk comes out, but yeah not very important as of now

      @@BurgoYT But there was actually no connection. The abomination in Shang Chi was a completely different one. Original design, different from the one in The Incredible Hulk.
      It’s like they’ve basically forgotten about the movie. They count it in the mcu, yes, but it doesn’t even matter at all.

    You're in for a ride. The MCU is the most well put together storyline. It amazes me how creative they were. You have a ton to look foward to.

    13:26 He didn't die, but didnt come out unscathed either ... if you watch the later movies Tony Stark favors that left shoulder at times which happens to be right where that tank hit him.

    I really would suggest not skipping The Incredible Hulk. It's important. I think that people are forgetting how much that movie actually ties in and sets up the other movies. It's also a pretty good movie and is worth watching.

      Yeah, it’s good. People seem to forget it because it’s only good. Weird reason to skip if you ask me, especially when it does it’s part to set up the MCU.

      @@12chapin Nah, irrelevant to Shang Chi. The design for Abomination is different and follows the original. And not to mention it basically has a completely different personality now.
      The Incredible Hulk, so far, has had 0 tie ins with the MCU besides the end credits and even then, the movie is so far removed that it seems to get more irrelevant with each movie.

    20:10 This was Tony's first almost sacrifice play. Which is probably why hearing cap say that he would never be the guy to make the sacrifice play in Avengers Assemble pissed me off so much 😂😂

    I understand skipping the hulk. The actor is different, and it doesn't really have to do with the rest of the MCU. I would suggest though if you ever have free time its worth checking out - I don't think it's a great movie but I think it's worth watching at some point

      It is referenced with a line and a post credit later in the MCU, and I think it's perfectly worthwhile if you can forgive an actor change and a dropped romantic plotline.

    Fun fact: you know the scene where tony and the big guy are fighting and throwing each other into cars? Well they had to completely re-choreograph that scene coz they couldn’t destroy one specific truck 😂😂

    I, personally, think you shouldn't have skipped the Hulk movie as there is at least one reoccurring character from this specific movie (aside from Hulk). It also gives you information about his powers and how it came about. I think it was done very well, and it does have information used later in the series. Also, their is a cut scene that directly involves Tony Stark,, so how it is not included is beyond me. It is #2 of the series.

    The hulk movie isn’t the *best* but it gives information on the origins of Hulk and a lot of his anxieties and fears. I’d give it a watch at least once.

    Always watch Marvel movies through the credits, they almost always have a snippet of a continuation in it. Even in the animated series Big Hero Six!

    You should in all honestly watch The incredible Hulk. One of the weaker movies, yes, but not a bad one. The movie will become more relevant in the upcoming she-hulk series, and the action scenes are good.

    The Incredible Hulk isn't a great movie but it's not that bad. It does give you the Hulk's origin story if you're interested. Edward Norton is a great actor but I definitely prefer Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk. If you want to see Edward Norton at his best check out American History X. It's hard to watch but so well done. I don't know how he didn't win best actor that year.

      Actually, it's not an origin story.
      He's already the Hulk when the movie starts, and while it does give clues to how that happened, it doesn't really tell that story.
      The 2003 movie with Eric Bana is really Hulk's origin story, although not an official part of the MCU.

    I love this film, and I think my favorite side thing is the banter between Tony and the very dry Jarvis. It cracks me up.

    Wow The Incredible Hulk was a great film and it's Presence is seen in the MCU even with Mark Ruffalo taking the originals spot, some of the scenes from Incredible hulk were in the future MCU films.

    If you get a chance, I would still give Incredible Hulk (2008) a chance. As a marvel movie it is admittedly pretty weak, but Edward Norton and Liv Tyler still make it quite memorable. It is generally considered the best of the worse story in the MCU franchise. However, that’s not saying much. As a stand-alone movie though it’s not bad and it has much more drama to it than you would expect. It has some good qualities.
