Thanks for sharing. My daughter is 21 months & can't communicate any words (not deaf) but I find these videos very helpful & will be teaching her them so she can learn how to communicate with me better :) xx
Learning ASL is a great idea to bridge any communication gap or barrier that you may experience (at any point in our lives). I'm happy to know that my videos are helping. Thank you for sharing your story.
Thank you for the helpful video…My Non-Verbal Autistic Child said and signed “Food” without anyone ever teaching her that…Can sign language be from instinct ?The IPE speech therapist/ autism advocate said don’t say she’s non verbal because she knows how to say many words…I think she says to call her “Pre-Verbal and that she’s neurodivergent” …I’m so lost with terms and labels 🥲👶🏻📚🙆🏻♀️💕🤗…And now respite care say she would be better off with a device to communicate …Everyone says something different
Thank you for watching. I believe that some signs can be instinctual (and maybe coincidental). Food and drink would be good examples of that since you are mimicking the movements of eating and drinking. I understand your confusion pertaining to multiple labels. What's most important is being able to communicate with your child. Try to be open to suggestions but at the end of the day I believe you will know what works best.
@@ASLLOVE 🤗Awww you’re so sweet! Your beautiful words touched my heart…I’m praying for God to give me wisdom to make right decisions for my daughter…The first year of pandemic was tough…Her speech/occupational therapy center closed down and the second one did too…Thank God Joe DiMaggio Hospital offers Speech/OT therapy….👱🏽♀️💕🙏🏻Godbless you…
Thank you as well for your kind words! I trust that your daughter will thrive with your support. I'm happy to know that she is able to receive speech/OT services again.
Thank you in trying to teach my 18 month old so he can tell his great grandmother because she does not offer him food she often enough for my liking while I WFH.
Thank you, I make the eat sign to my dogs already and I don’t know any sign language. I told my son, so we watched this video to prove it.
