You're doing amazing work Austin and watching this series I realize two things. One, I can see why so few (if any) attempt this swap in the 1st gen Tacoma. It's a lot of work. And two, I can see an opportunity for you to design a kit to make this a much easier job for others, especially for those without your skill level. When I saw the motor mounts being built was when I finally said to myself there's no way I would do this swap- even though I need it. Even though I know it take a lot of time to film your work, you should have made a copy of all those custom parts and then work with a machine shop to produce them in bulk. There are 100's of thousands of these first gens with the 2.4/2.7 that need this kind of power but want to achieve better fuel mileage.

A new receiver/dryer is a good idea. Don't install the new one until everything with the A/C is back together for the final time, otherwise if it's left open it will absorb moisture from the open connection. While you're at it, install all new o-rings so you don't have to worry about leaks.

I did the manual swap on my 02 4 door and there was only about 1/2"- 3/4" space between the trans and floor pan. It's tight enough that it's a real pain to get tool in there to do anything. Keep up the great work!

I spent decades cutting Aluminum....it cuts easy...any Carbide blade in a tablesaw/radial arm saw / miter saw will cut it like butter...use a blade with lots of teeth ( 60+ minimum 80 + is better ) some cutting fluid or grease stick for alloys helps keep it cool and prolongs the blade....you can cut Aluminum on bandsaws and use Routers ( hand held ) or jigsaws....
Clamp the piece in chopsaws as it grabs ( safety )....watch for chips so wear eye protection ... It is easier to cut than steel..and Holesaws go through it easily....
